Jimmy Graham (Groin/Quadricep) Listed as Did Not Participate on Estimated Practice Report

Graham was active Week 3, but appears to have re-aggravated his groin injury, while the quad injury has also been added. He only got 1 target while playing 42% of the snaps Week 3, and with the Packers playing on Thursday this week, it will be hard for him to play a significant role in the offense.

Alshon Jeffery (Calf), Dallas Goedert (Calf) Limited on Estimated Practice Report

Jeffery and Goedert were both listed as limited on the Eagles’ estimated practice report, meaning both would have been limited if the Eagles had practiced Monday. The Eagles were off due to playing on Thursday this week, but this limited status gives both players a chance to play this week.

DeSean Jackson (Abdomen), J.J Arcega-Whiteside (Heel), Corey Clement (Shoulder) Do Not Participate on Estimated Practice Report

The Eagles are playing on Thursday this week, so they released an estimated practice report today despite not practicing. Jackson, Arcega-Whiteside and Clement all would not have participated if the Eagles had practiced. While Jackson and Clement both didn’t play Week 3, Arcega-Whiteside did play 72% of the offensive snaps. All 3 players will need to be monitored the rest of this week.

Ito Smith and Kenjon Barner Both in Concussion Protocol

Smith and Barner are both in the concussion protocol, although neither player has been ruled out this week. Smith has 11 rushes and 3 catches, while Barner has just 1 catch, so neither player has played a significant role on offense over the first 3 games.

A.J. Green Won't Play Week 4, Unlikely to Start Practicing Yet

Green remains out and is not expected to practice at all this week. Until he starts to practice, there is no way to accurately predict when he will return. John Ross and Tyler Boyd will remain the top options for the Bengals, and both have been highly productive so far this season.

Sam Darnold

Sam Darnold (Mono) Trending Towards Week 5 Return

Darnold has missed the last two weeks with mono and is reportedly making good progress towards his return. With the Jets off for a bye Week 4, Darnold could end up missing just 2 games with mono. The Jets offense looked inept with Falk, gaining just 105 yards of total offense Week 3, so his return would be significant for the other offensive weapons on the Jets.

Allen Hurns in Concussion Protocol, Week 4 Status Unknown

Saquon Barkley

Saquon Barkley (High-Ankle Sprain) Return Timeline 4-8 weeks

Barkley’s MRI revealed a high-ankle sprain, and the return timeline has been set at 4-8 weeks, with closer to 8 weeks considered more likely. Barkley led the NFL in yards from scrimmage with 2028 last season, and hadn’t missed a game in his NFL career before this injury. Wayne Gallman could step into a larger role, but he still only finished with 5 carries in Week 3, despite Barkley going down with the injury.

Cam Newton (Foot) Ruled Out Week 4

The Panthers have ruled Newton out for Week 4, and his status going forward will be week-to-week. Kyle Allen stepped in and performed well, throwing for 261 yards with 4 TD’s and 0 interceptions against the Cardinals. He will be the starting QB for the Panthers until Newton can return.

Saquon Barkley (Ankle) Expected to Miss Several Weeks

Barkley is expected to be out for several weeks with a high-ankle sprain. He was injured during Week 3, finishing the game with just 10 yards on 8 carries. Given that he was on crutches with a walking boot, it isn’t surprising he is expected to miss extended time. The Giants fell behind early and abandoned the run game, but Wayne Gallman should see more carries next week.

Julian Edelman (Ribs) to Undergo Tests, Possible MRI Today

Edelman already had x-rays done that came back clear, but there is still concern he suffered cartilage damage to his ribs. If he does miss time, Phillip Dorsett should see more targets while Jakobi Meyers would get more snaps.

Cleveland Browns
9/22/19, 7:07 PM ET

Browns Starting DBs Denzel Ward, Greedy Williams, and Damarious Randall All Out for SNF Vs. Rams

The Browns are extremely banged up in the secondary and will be rolling out several backups to cover the Rams’ powerhouse receiving trio of Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods, and Cooper Kupp. The Browns are 8th in defensive pass DVOA, but that high ranking is misleading for tonight’s game on Sunday Night Football.

Cooks, who has only seen a 15% target share but 34% of the air yards for the Rams, is arguably the biggest beneficiary with the elite CB Ward out. The Rams entire passing game gets a significant boost from the Browns’ injuries, and all pass catchers are viable options for GPPs and Showdown contests that include this game.
