Josh Jacobs

Green Bay Packers
9/18/19, 4:36 PM ET

Josh Jacobs (Groin), J.J. Nelson (Ankle) Limited Wednesday

Jacobs and Nelson were both limited in practice Wednesday, and their status will need to be monitored as the week progresses. Jacobs has been a crucial part of the offense, with 184 yards on 34 rush attempts through two games. Nelson would provide the Raiders with another receiving weapon, but his status seems more unsure than Jacobs, given that he was out last week.

Tavon Austin (Concussion) Does Not Practice Wednesday

Austin continues to be out with a concussion, making his Week 3 status doubtful. If healthy, there are a few more targets available with Michael Gallup out, but Austin is far down the WR depth chart.

David Moore

Carolina Panthers

David Moore (Shoulder) Has a "Really Good Chance" to Play Week 3

Coach Pete Carroll said there was a “really good chance” David Moore makes his debut Week 3. Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf are firmly at the top of the WR depth chart, but there will be a role for Moore as an explosive option. Last season he averaged over 17 yards per reception for the Seahawks on 26 catches.

Jameis Winston

Jameis Winston (Foot) Practices Fully, Will Start Week 3

Winston’s foot injury will not cost the QB any time, as he is expected to start Week 3 for the Bucs. He has a mini-bye to get healthy, with the Bucs having played on Thursday night last week. The QB is off to a brutally slow start, averaging just over 200 yards per week with 2 touchdowns against 3 interceptions. Despite his struggles, the Bucs are 1-1 and have a great shot at 2-1, going against the Giants and their rookie QB Daniel Jones.

Marcus Mariota

Washington Commanders

Jalen Ramsey Will Play Thursday

Jalen Ramsey should play tomorrow night against the Titans, according to coach Doug Marrone. Ramsey has requested a trade, so there is still a chance he has a more limited role than usual. He is a crucial piece of the Jaguars’ defense, so this makes the job tougher for Titans’ QB Marcus Mariota.

Tyler Kroft

Miami Dolphins
9/18/19, 2:42 PM ET

Andre Roberts (Quad) Limited, Tyler Kroft (Foot) Full Practice Participant

Neither player has been healthy so far in 2019, but Kroft appears ready to return for Week 3. Even when he returns, Kroft will have a minor role in the passing attack. Roberts was limited in his first practice Wednesday, and given his extended absence, it wouldn’t be surprising for him to miss at least 1 more week.

Saints Won't Announce Starter Between Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill

The Saints aren’t going to announce a starting QB before their Week 3 game, with Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill both expected to have a roll in the offense. This will mean split reps between the QB’s, making it hard for either QB to make a significant DFS contribution.

Mark Andrews

Baltimore Ravens
9/18/19, 1:56 PM ET

Mark Andrews (Foot) Does Not Practice Wednesday

Andrews did not practice Wednesday with the same foot injury he was battling last week. He was limited last week during practice as well, yet finished Week 2 with 8 catches for 112 yards and a TD, numbers nearly identical to his Week 1 production. Unless we get an update that Andrews’ foot injury has gotten worse, expect him to play Week 3 and continue to produce.

Albert Wilson

Las Vegas Raiders
9/18/19, 1:32 PM ET

Albert Wilson (Calf) Does Not Practice Wednesday

Wilson missed Week 2 and did not practice Wednesday. Unless he can get practice in tomorrow, his status for Week 3 is doubtful at best.

Larry Fitzgerald

Arizona Cardinals
9/18/19, 12:00 PM ET

Strong Volume, Good Matchup

Things we expected when Kliff Kingsbury took over as the Cardinals Head Coach – fast play and a lot of throwing. While Kingsbury has disappointed in the Red Zone by settling for FGs, he’s met our expectations in terms of pace of play (Cardinals rank second in situation neutral pace of play) and passing volume (Kyler leads the league with 94 pass attempts). Larry Fitzgerald has been a direct beneficiary of the coaching change as he ranks sixth in the league in Air Yards (273) and is averaging 12 targets per game. Matchup wise, we couldn’t ask for much more as Fitz will avoid Panthers top CB James Bradberry by lining up in the slot against Javien Elliott. The 6’3” 218 lbs Fitzgerald will have a massive size advantage on the 5’11” 176 lbs Elliott who has allowed a reception every time he’s been targeted (6) this season. We currently have Fitzgerald projected for just single-digit ownership on both FanDuel and DraftKings but that number could balloon depending on the Eagle’s WR injury situation. Regardless of expected ownership, Fitz’s expected volume in a good matchup makes him a tremendous option in all formats.

Ezekiel Elliott

Los Angeles Chargers
9/20/19, 8:06 AM ET

Expanding Role in Perfect Matchup

After being eased back in Week 1, Elliott’s snap rate jumped to 71% in Week 2. Elliott handled 23-of-27 RB carries against the Redskins and caught both of his targets. Elliott’s role only figures to expand and it would be unsurprising if he’s able to parlay 25+ touches into 200+ yards and a couple of scores. The biggest threat to Elliott’s fantasy value is a blowout but realistically Zeke only needs to play three quarters to meet value on his expensive price tag.

Cam Newton

Carolina Panthers
9/18/19, 1:25 PM ET

Cam Newton (Foot) Misses Practice Wednesday

Newton did not practice Wednesday, and is looking doubtful for Week 3. If Newton can’t go, Kyle Allen will get his second career start. He was efficient in Week 17 last year against the Saints, throwing for 228 and 2 TD’s with 0 interceptions. However, that was against a Saints team resting up for the playoffs. Allen would catch a break with the opponent this week, playing at home against a Cardinals team allowing nearly 310 yards passing per game to opposing QB’s, but is a risky option and hurts the value of the Panthers’ pass catchers.

Devin Singletary

New York Giants
9/18/19, 1:14 PM ET

Devin Singletary (Hamstring) Does Not Practice, Still Day-to-Day

Singletary did not practice Wednesday, putting his Week 3 status in jeopardy. Hamstring injuries carry high risk of being aggravated if a player is rushed back, so the Bills may opt to play it safe with Singletary. The rookie RB has been explosive with the ball in his hands this season, with 127 yards on just 10 rushes. He has a high ceiling if he can move into a lead back role, but for now will need to break a long TD to hit value.

Rashard Higgins

Carolina Panthers
9/18/19, 1:08 PM ET

Rashard Higgins (Knee) Returns to Practice, David Njoku (Concussion) Out

Higgins is progressing towards a Week 3 return, practicing Wednesday. He missed Week 2 after catching 2 of 3 targets for 46 yards Week 1. Njoku picked up his concussion Week 2 and missed practice Wednesday. This will make him doubtful for their Week 3 game. With 37 yards and 1 TD through 2 weeks, Njoku is a low-level DFS option even when healthy.

Dontrell Hilliard

Tennessee Titans
9/18/19, 1:01 PM ET

Dontrell Hilliard (Concussion) Returns to Practice

Hilliard is progressing towards a Week 3 return. He is mainly a return man, with only 1 carry in Week 1. That 1 carry was for a TD though, so he is a bit of a TD vulture risk if healthy. He is not a viable DFS option but would slightly hurt the value of the Browns other RB’s.
