Sterling Shepard (Concussion) Limited, Cody Latimer (Concussion) Does Not Practice
Sterling Shepard was able to participate in a limited capacity on Wednesday, while Cody Latimer was out with a concussion. The Giants are making a QB change this week, benching Eli Manning for Daniel Jones. The offense with Manning at QB had been less than explosive, so the change to a rookie QB might not be a significant knock for the WR’s value.

There is no doubt that Dalvin Cook should be more expensive on every site right now. The Vikings might surpass the Seahawks as the most run-heavy team in football in 2019. Even though the Vikings fell behind 21-0 against the Packers last week, they did not go away from their game plan. Cook still ended up with 20 carries for 154 yards, and he is clearly going to be a workhorse for this team. A favorable matchup awaits this week, and Cook should be the anchor of cash game builds until his price rises by another $500 to $1,000 on FD/DK.

Yes, the narrative is out there that Chris Godwin is taking over as the top wide receiver in Tampa Bay. However, recency bias is definitely a thing. Godwin’s price is approaching Evans’ price in DFS right now, and on some sites Godwin is now more expensive than his teammate. There are still going to be weeks where Evans goes off, and now you are getting him at lower ownership combined with a cheaper price tag. This is the time to buy low with the feeble Giants on the docket. As a side note, you could apply similar logic to O.J. Howard if you want to use him instead.

At this point, it’s almost foolish to ignore whoever is playing the Dolphins. This is a turnover prone team that checks in as a 21 point underdog on the road in Dallas. The Cowboys have a solid, if unspectacular, defense — but that’s generally enough to get the job done against what could be one of the worst teams of the 21st century. That’s not even hyperbole at this point, as the Dolphins have been outscored 102-10 in their two games. Expect a heavy dose of Ezekiel Elliott in this one, and I expect him to put up at least 125 yards and a pair of scores. Combine that with the Dallas defense, and you have a correlation play with elite u

The wins haven’t been there just yet, but Kyler Murray is not the reason the Cardinals are 0-1-1 at this point. His first two games have shown his upside, as the Cardinals came from behind to earn a tie against Detroit, and they played respectably well against the Ravens in Week 2. This team is playing at the quickest tempo in the league, and Murray is going to get every opportunity to put up big numbers. I like Murray as a solid, affordable GPP option in what should be a competitive game against the Panthers.
Chargers Sign TE Lance Kendricks
With the Chargers losing Hunter Henry for the season, they’ve signed veteran TE Lance Kendricks. The Chargers TE targets will be split between Virgil Green and Kenricks, with neither a strong DFS option.

Marqise Lee looks ready to make his 2019 debut, but his role in the offense appears to have diminished. Chark and Conley have been the most effective receiving options for the Jaguars, each with at least 10 catches, 170 yards and 17 yards per catch. Gardner Minshew threw for just 213 yards in his first start, so the offense could be limited through the air. Conley’s status is in doubt for the Thursday night Week 3 game and should be monitored as kickoff approaches.
As reported by: Jim Wyatt Other tagged players: Marqise Lee, DJ CharkMarcus Mariota (Quad), A.J. Brown (Knee) Full Practice Participants
Both players appeared on the injury report earlier this week, but both should be ready to play Thursday night. A.J. Brown has been Mariota’s most effective receiver, catching 6 of his 9 targets for a team leading 125 yards through 2 weeks. Mariota is only averaging 201 yards per game, and his play will continue to cap Brown’s ceiling.

Kirkwood was battling a hamstring injury before being placed on IR. The second year player had a few productive moments last season with the Saints, but wasn’t able to get healthy this year.

Anderson appeared to have a role as the backup RB to start the season, getting 11 carries Week 1. However, he was matched Week 2 by Ty Johnson with just 5 carries, while Kerryon Johnson remains the clear lead back. Paul Perkins was signed by the Lions, but he should be at the bottom of the RB depth chart.

Jackson is expected to miss 2 weeks with an abdominal strain. Alshon Jeffery’s status is unknown for Week 3, meaning Zach Ertz and Nelson Agholor will see a significant amount of targets.

Thomas was active for Week 2 despite not practicing once for the Jets, but finished with 1 catch for -1 yards on 2 targets. Thomas was working back from a hamstring injury that he appeared to aggravate Monday night. The knee has also been added to his injury status, so it’s possible he tweaked that as well. The Jets offense is a mess currently, so even when healthy Thomas is not in a good position until Sam Darnold returns.
As reported by: Ethan B. GreenbergTrevor Siemian Out for the Season
Siemian tore ligaments in his ankle Monday night, knocking him out for the rest of the season. Luke Falk will take over as the starter until Sam Darnold is able to return. The Jets are more than 3 touchdown underdogs Week 3 against the Patriots, and it is hard to see anyone except Le’Veon Bell producing for the Jets until Darnold can return.

Newton was not at practice Tuesday for the Panthers. He reportedly aggravated a foot injury, according to Ian Rapoport. This will put his Week 3 status in question.
As reported by: Tom PelisseroTyrell Williams (Hip Pointer) Expects to Play Week 3
Williams is working through a hip pointer but said he expects to play Week 3. This is far from a guarantee that he will play, but it is a positive sign. Continue to monitor his progress throughout the week. Williams has been the biggest beneficiary of Antonio Brown leaving for the Patriots, as he has caught 11 of his 14 targets for 151 yards and 2 touchdowns. TE Darren Waller (15 targets) is the only Raider with more targets this season. If healthy, expect Williams to continue to be heavily featured in the passing attack.
