Jarvis Landry

New Orleans Saints
11/09/18, 2:15 PM ET

Strong Volume + Matchup, Decreased Price

Jarvis Landry continues to draw strong matchups but is seemingly a continual disappointment as he’s only topped double-digit fantasy points four times this season in .5 PPR formats. Landry is the cheapest he’s been since the beginning of the season and once again draws a stellar matchup against a Falcons defense that is susceptible in the middle of the field where Landry runs the majority of his routes. While the production is lagging, Landry continues to see plenty of opportunity averaging over 11 targets per game. At his reduced price tag and with the Browns expected to be playing from behind, I’m considering Landry a core option as his volume should be dependable.

Sammy Watkins

Baltimore Ravens

WR Sammy Watkins (foot) returns to practice Friday

Watkins was trending towards being out Sunday after not practicing all week, but now appears on track to play which will remove Chris Conley and DeMarcus Robinson as punt play considerations. At likely less than 100% and potentially occupying Patrick Peterson for most of the game, Watkins himself should probably be avoided.

TE David Njoku (knee, ribs) is questionable for Sunday

After a limited week in practice, Njoku was given a questionable tag for Week 10 but is still expected to play. His status will need to be confirmed on Sunday morning but assuming he plays, a friendly matchup at home against the Falcons awaits.

WR Quincy Enunwa will play Sunday; Robby Anderson listed as doubtful

Enunwa will play through his ankle injury in Week 10 while Anderson is expected to be sidelined by his. Enunwa and fellow wideout Jermaine Kearse may have some added upside this week due to Anderson’s absence together with Josh McCown starting at QB in place of rookie Sam Darnold. Additionally, the Bills struggling offense should afford ample opportunities for the Jets passing offense despite the low game total.

Leonard Fournette

11/09/18, 2:14 PM ET

RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) will play Sunday

Fournette practiced in full all week and is good to go for Sunday’s divisional battle against the Colts. With Carlos Hyde having joined the Jags’ backfield in Fournette’s absence and T.J. Yeldon carving out a role, a full workload is unlikely for the Jags’ former RB1 in his first game back. However, the upside his certainly there for Fournette at a depressed price against a vulnerable Colts defense.

Josh Gordon

Tennessee Titans

Slate-Breaking Option at WR

If Josh Gordon gets 10 targets like last week, I expect him to compete for highest overall score by any player. I’m not sure exactly how many he will get in this fluid New England offense, but I think they feature him in this spot. Forget the numbers; Tennessee is still awful against the pass even though a soft schedule doesn’t show it. Regardless, Gordon is still wayyyyyy too cheap for the upside in any matchup, much less a favorable one like this. I’m not sure why the ownership is projected as low as it is, but if it’s right, I will be at least three times the field on Gordon and likely more. I keep waiting for the Gordon slate-breaking week, and I think we finally have it.

Giovani Bernard

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
11/09/18, 1:32 PM ET

RB Giovani Bernard (knee) questionable for Sunday

Though labeled questionable, Gio is expected to play on Sunday for the first time since Week 4 after Head Coach Marvin Lewis said the Bengals would be adding “another good player to the mix”. It’s unclear whether the change-up back will be eased back in seeing it was his first week of practice in nearly 2 months. This makes it possible that Joe Mixon could still see close to a workhorse role again on Sunday against the potent offense of the Saints. It’s also possible both Bengals backs are relied upon heavily with the Bengals’ top playmaker in A.J. Green being out as well.

DeSean Jackson

Right Back to the Well

Although I was disappointed in DeSean Jackson and Fitz back together last week, I’m going right back to the well this week. D-Jax has gone over 100 yards in three of the five games when Fitzy starts, to go with three TDs. The Bucs should be chucking it a ton again this week against a good but overrated Washington defense. Hell, even Julio got in the end zone against these guys. I love the Jackson play for many reasons: usage, home run potential, and most importantly no ownership. I’m looking at playing about 25 to 30% of D-Jax myself this week.

Corey Clement

Arizona Cardinals

Eagles RB Corey Clement Returns to Practice

Eagles RB Corey Clement (illness), who missed Thursday’s practice, is out here practicing. He looks safe to get in your lineup if this is a preferred play for you. However, the Eagles backfield is a bit of a mess and coming off of a bye week. Josh Adams is a name to keep your eye on for Philadelphia.

Keenan Allen

Los Angeles Chargers
11/10/18, 10:53 AM ET

Great Matchup for Star Receiver at Low Ownership

I have a very soft spot for Keenan Allen. Over the past five years, he has been one of the best receivers in football, yet he is often underpriced and always underowned. Allen is a top five route runner with top five hands, yet is somehow oddly inconsistent. He has a great rapport with Rivers and tends to go on crazy three- to five-game stretches every year in which he becomes a top two or three receiver. For example, last year during Weeks 11-14 he averaged almost 10 catches, 140 yards and one TD per game. I think he and Rivers found their groove in Seattle last week, and I’m looking for that to continue this week against the Raiders, who are one of the worst pass defenses in football.

Chris Carson

Seattle Seahawks
11/08/18, 8:38 PM ET

Chris Carson misses Thursday's practice

No need to panic yet as the Seahawks did note that they’d manage his reps during the week given that he’s played through an injury the last few weeks. His status tomorrow will likely be somewhat of a determining factor, but even a missed session tomorrow wouldn’t totally rule him out. Mike Davis would be one of the more popular value plays if Carson were to sit out.

Torrey Smith

TNF Inactives: Torrey Smith, Cameron Artis-Payne, Justin Hunter

No surprises here. With Smith inactive, we’ll see D.J. Moore handle the #2WR role, giving him some considerable appeal in Showdown formats. Cameron Artis-Payne is inactive as he’s been in recent weeks, and Steelers WR Justin Hunter will sit for a second straight game while James Washington handles the #3WR duties for the Steelers. Washington is a potential punt play in Showdown formats, but the Steelers TEs are priced similarly and are better bets to find the end-zone.

Jordan Reed

11/09/18, 9:28 AM ET

Two Tight Ends in the Perfect Matchup

Tampa Bay has been one of the worst teams in recent memory against the tight end spot. The Bucs have given up season highs to five of the tight ends they’ve faced this season, and I just can’t resist attacking this spot again this week vs Washington. If Reed is good to go, I will play both Reed and Davis to be contrarian in some of my builds. If Reed isn’t good to go, we have to load up on Davis here, even though he would likely become the chalk. There are other options I like at tight end, but this is where I will have my most exposure.

Pierre Garcon

Pierre Garcon does not practice Thursday; George Kittle limited

Pierre Garcon does not practice Thursday, which isn’t overly concerning yet but it’s certainly not the best sign. If he’s limited at all, Marquise Goodwin could see an extra target or two with Kendrick Bourne and Dante Pettis also likely to see an uptick in snaps/targets. It’s worth mentioning that the 49ers don’t play until Monday, so this is basically a Wednesday for them in terms of practice reps. George Kittle was also limited, but there isn’t any real doubt that he’s going to suit up Monday.

Dion Lewis

New York Giants
11/08/18, 5:46 PM ET

Too Cheap for New Role

Lewis has all but taken over the Titans backfield as Tennessee slowly kills off Derrick Henry who has only been on the field for 38-of-141 offensive snaps for the Titans their last two games. Lewis’ involvement as a pass catcher gives him a solid floor to work with and increased involvement running the ball provides him with a high ceiling as well. Lewis remains too cheap for his new role.
