De'Anthony Thomas

Baltimore Ravens
10/13/18, 12:14 PM ET

Chiefs place WR De'Anthony Thomas (leg) on IR

The Chiefs have placed WR De’Anthony Thomas on IR due to a leg injury. This has little impact on the Chiefs offensive attack, as Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins and Chris Conley have been the primary targets for Patrick Mahomes. Look for those four to continue to lead this passing attack.

Breshad Perriman

Indianapolis Colts
10/13/18, 12:08 PM ET

Browns sign WR Breshad Perriman

The Browns have signed former Ravens WR Breshad Perriman. In the wake of losing Rashard Higgins for multiple weeks due to a knee injury and losing fellow WR Dereck Willies for the season due to a collar bone injury, the Browns are fortifying their receiving corps that is currently lead by Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway. It is unclear what role Perriman will have (if any) this week, but he should have opportunity for playing time moving forward as Antonio Callaway hasn’t really excelled with the opportunity he’s been given thus far.

Martavis Bryant

Washington Commanders
10/13/18, 10:44 AM ET

Martavis Bryant added to the injury report, questionable for Sunday

Martavis Bryant has been added to the injury report due to an illness, and is questionable for Sunday’s showdown in London vs the Seahawks. Bryant actually lead the Raiders in receiving yards week 5, and if he is unable to suit up it would mean a few additional looks for the likes of Amari Cooper, Jared Cook, Jordy Nelson and Seth Roberts.

George Kittle

San Francisco 49ers
10/12/18, 7:06 PM ET

George Kittle (knee) limited in practice Friday

George Kittle was limited in practice Friday due to a knee injury. That said, there is nothing to suggest he is in serious danger of missing Monday night’s contest with the Packers. Monitor his practice status tomorrow as the team prepares for Monday to ensure he doesn’t suffer a setback, but otherwise plan on him being one of the most heavily targeted 49ers from QB CJ Beathard.

Todd Gurley

Atlanta Falcons
10/12/18, 6:32 PM ET

More money, more problems?

Yes, he’s crazy expensive. Yes, everybody is saying you can’t pay this price tag for one player. Yes, you’re going to need a few punts to hit. That said, Todd Gurley not being popular against a team that has struggled against the run is bizarre. He’s easily the running back most likely to put up 30+ points and is going to be under 20% owned. Yes, he’s tough to get in, but he’s tough to get in for everybody. This is an excellent ‘pay up to be contrarian’ spot in a matchup that Gurley is far more likely to crush than not.

C.J. Uzomah

Philadelphia Eagles
10/12/18, 6:27 PM ET

The Bengal nobody is talking about

We all know that opportunity is everything. With Tyler Eifert out for the season and Tyler Kroft out as well, C.J. Uzomah has exactly zero competition for tight end snaps. Despite Pittsburgh giving up the 2nd most points to tight ends this season, Uzomah is being largely ignored since he put up a dud last week. Though he only saw 2 targets, he ran 23 pass routes on 28 passing downs and is a favorite to see an increased workload this week in a good matchup. Everybody that is paying down at tight end this week is playing Brate, Hooper, or Njoku. I’ll roll the dice with Uzomah at a fraction of the ownership at a cheaper price in a better matchup than any of the more popular cheap tight end options.

Bilal Powell

New York Jets
10/12/18, 6:19 PM ET

Life is better without a time share

After Isiah Crowell missed practice Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, it became increasingly unlikely that he’ll play on Sunday. Even if he suits up, I seriously doubt the Jets will run him out for 20 carries. Powell is a guy that has been frustrating for DFS players who have played him this season, but if Crowell misses he simply has no competition for touches. With the Colts average at best against the run game and Powell’s pass catching ability, he’s somebody that could provide some serious savings on a slate where value is scarce.

Chester Rogers

Cleveland Browns
10/12/18, 6:12 PM ET

Elevated role + banged up defense = great play

There are a number of things working in Rogers’ favor this week. With TY Hilton out, Rogers is the most likely receiver to see an uptick in targets. He saw 11 targets in each of his last two games and this week has his best matchup yet. Buster Skrine, who is as talented as I am, is out this week for the Jets. He’s one of the most attacked slot corners in all of football. Since he’s out, that means that somebody who is worse than Skrine will be lining up in the slot for the Jets, where Rogers saw 61 snaps (opposed to just 3 out wide) last week. With Rogers elevated workload and the Jets rolling out somebody who couldn’t cover my 4 month old, Rogers is an excellent floor and ceiling play at a very cheap price.

Matt Ryan

Indianapolis Colts
10/12/18, 6:04 PM ET

Don't get cute spot

Jameis is fine and Goff is nice, but Matt Ryan has both the highest floor and the highest ceiling this week. Without Devonta Freeman and playing a pass defense that yielded 6 touchdowns to Mitchel Trubisky, Ryan is in a spot that is just too good to pass up. Yes he’ll be popular, but you can find other places to differentiate. Ryan is as close as it gets to a slam dunk this week.

Pierre Garcon

San Francisco 49ers
10/12/18, 5:41 PM ET

Pierre Garcon (shoulder/knee) not practicing again Friday

Pierre Garcon did not practice again Friday due to shoulder and knee injuries. At this point he should be considered highly questionable for the 49ers Monday night matchup with the Packers. If he were to miss, it would mean more targets for George Kittle and Marquise Goodwin.

Matt Breida

San Francisco 49ers
10/12/18, 5:28 PM ET

Matt Breida (ankle) DNP again Friday

Matt Breida did not practice again Friday due to his ankle injury. His absence is expected, as he is not expected to suit up Monday night against the Packers. Barring some sort of drastic turnaround, look for Alfred Morris to lead the 49ers backfield in Breida’s absence.

Geronimo Allison

Atlanta Falcons
10/12/18, 4:59 PM ET

Geronimo Allison (hamstring) and Randall Cobb (hamstring) both limited Friday for the Packers

Geronimo Allison and Randall Cobb were both limited Friday for the Packers due to their hamstring injuries, but appear to be trending in the right direction as far as their ability to suit up Monday night against the 49ers. Both wideouts were inactive last week, but appear on track to return this week in a favorable matchup. Keep an eye on their practice status tomorrow to get a better indication of their availability for Monday, but for now it appears likely that Aaron Rodgers will have his full offensive arsenal back for week 6.

Aaron Rodgers

Pittsburgh Steelers
10/12/18, 4:56 PM ET

Aaron Rodgers (knee) and Jimmy Graham (knee) both practice in full Friday

Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Graham both practiced in full Friday despite their knee injuries. This seems to confirm the idea that their Thursday DNP was just them taking advantage of an extra maintenance day this week since they don’t take the field until Monday night. Rodgers will lead this packers offense against a susceptible 49ers secondary, and Jimmy Graham will get his usual workload at tight end.

Deshaun Watson

Cleveland Browns
10/12/18, 4:48 PM ET

Deshaun Watson (chest) questionable for Sunday

Deshaun Watson is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup with the Bills due to a chest injury. While the rest of his offense seemed to be confirmed as active for week 6, Watson remains having the questionable tag. While it still appears likely he will suit up, keep an eye on his status Sunday morning to confirm that he is good to go, as obviously his absence would be a huge downgrade for the Texans offense as a whole.

Chase Edmonds

Washington Commanders
10/12/18, 4:54 PM ET

Chase Edmonds (back) questionable for Sunday

Chase Edmonds is listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup with the Vikings due to a back injury. If Edmonds were to miss it would all but ensure David Johnson would have a high-volume workload, with T.J. Logan serving as the change of pace back for the Cardinals.
