DeVante Parker

Philadelphia Eagles

DeVante Parker (quad) limited in practice again Thursday

DeVante Parker was limited in practice again Thursday due to his quad injury. Same story as yesterday for Parker, who still appears on track to make his return for the Dolphins this weekend. Keep an eye on his practice status Friday, as if he is able to upgrade to a full practice it would all but ensure his ability to suit up this weekend against the Bears.

Matt Breida

San Francisco 49ers

Matt Breida (ankle), George Kittle (knee) and Pierre Garcon (shoulder) all DNP for the 49ers Thursday

Matt Breida (ankle), George Kittle (knee) and Pierre Garcon (shoulder) all did not practice for the 49ers Thursday. It is worth noting that they have an extra day this week to heal up before their Monday night game against the Packers, so some of this may be precautionary. That said, Breida is not expected to suit up due to his ankle sprain, and Alfred Morris should be leading the rushing attack. Kittle and Garcon both appear to be truly questionable, so keep an eye on their practice status tomorrow to get a better idea of their availability for Monday.

Christian McCaffrey

Volume Alone

Christian McCaffrey leads the Panthers with a 25% target share and is one of the only true bell-cow backs remaining in the league. McCaffrey’s high volume makes him a weekly cash game option as the Panthers running back is averaging over 23 touches per week, including eight receptions. CMac’s involvement in the receiving game gives him one of the highest floors in the league and Carolina has shown that they’ll feed him the ball on the ground if working with the lead – McCaffrey had 28 Week 3 carries. This is a strong rushing matchup for the Panthers as Washington ranks 30th in rush DVOA on the year and has been much tougher against the pass with a pass DVOA ranking of 10. I expect CMac to continue to see high volume in this game and he can be considered a core play due to volume alone.

Devonta Freeman

Baltimore Ravens
10/11/18, 3:11 PM ET

RB Devonta Freeman (foot) not practicing Thursday

The Falcons veteran back is now looking closer to doubtful for Sunday after returning in Week 5. His practice status on Friday should be the final indicator. Tevin Coleman would take over lead duties again with Ito Smith, who head coach Dan Quinn praised today, serving as the 1B change-of-pace back. Both will be in play at relatively cheap prices attached to a massive 31 point implied team total this week.

Greg Olsen

Carolina Panthers
10/11/18, 2:04 PM ET

TE Greg Olsen (foot) gets in full practice Thursday

It looks like the veteran tight end will be out there Sunday against the Redskins for the first time since Week 1. He will certainly be at risk of re-injury but Coach Ron Rivera was reported as saying that Olsen will be a full go if he suits up, putting to bed any snap limit concerns and making the tight end a possible contrarian play at a depressed price this week. Olsen’s return should also provide a small boost to Cam Newton and slightly lower the target projection for RB Christian McCaffrey and WR Devin Funchess.

Jamison Crowder

Washington Commanders
10/11/18, 1:50 PM ET

WRs Jamison Crowder (ankle) and Paul Richardson (knee/shoulder) not practicing Thursday

Crowder appears more questionable than Richardson who is expected to suit up after exiting Monday night’s game. Friday’s practice will need to be monitored, however both make for less than mediocre plays at their prices this week given their low target totals to date and QB Alex Smith’s tendency to look for his running backs and tight ends much more in passing situations.

T.Y. Hilton

Dallas Cowboys
10/11/18, 1:41 PM ET

WR T.Y Hilton and TE Jack Doyle not practicing again Thursday; TE Eric Ebron not practicing as well

Hilton and Doyle are not expected to play on Sunday against the Jets, leaving the Colts offense with a big challenge against a strong Jets passing defense on the road. Ebron, who saw 15 targets last week, figures to be the focal point of the passing offense once again in Week 6 if he can practice on Friday, something he was able to do in past weeks this season after missing mid-week practices with similar injuries.

Isaiah Crowell

Las Vegas Raiders
10/11/18, 1:20 PM ET

RB Isaiah Crowell (ankle) sitting out practice again on Thursday

After a massive Week 5, Crowell has now missed 2 practices in a row. He’ll need to get out there on Friday to have a good shot at playing in Week 6. If he were to miss, fellow back Bilal Powell would be in for a big workload and become one of the top values on the slate heading into a nice matchup against the Colts where the Jets are installed as 2.5 point home favorites.

Aaron Rodgers

Pittsburgh Steelers
10/11/18, 12:03 PM ET

Aaron Rodgers (knee) and Randall Cobb (hamstring) not Practicing

Aaron Rodgers (knee) and Randall Cobb (hamstring) will not practice today. They are also in the rehab group, per McCarthy. Same story for Rodgers. He should be fine to play. Cobb continues to miss practice and his status is in doubt

Geronimo Allison

Atlanta Falcons
10/11/18, 12:02 PM ET

Geronimo Allison No Longer in Concussion Protocol

Mike McCarthy says Packers WR Geronimo Allison is no longer in the concussion protocol but won’t practice because of the hamstring injury. It’s a step in the right direction for Allison. Stay tuned.

Isaiah Crowell

Las Vegas Raiders
10/11/18, 12:00 PM ET

Isaiah Crowell not Practicing

Crowell won’t be practicing again as he deals with an ankle injury. Crowell has been a boom or bust RB so far with high upside. His absence could open the door for more Bilal Powell snaps. We will stay on top of this information closer to kickoff

Rashard Higgins

Carolina Panthers
10/11/18, 11:57 AM ET

Rashard Higgins Sitting out Practice

WR Rashard Higgins (knee) sitting out practice. He’s taken on a bigger role with the Josh Gordon departure. If he sits then perhaps Antonio Callaway will get a boost, but it is a tough matchup.

Julio Jones

Philadelphia Eagles
10/11/18, 10:49 AM ET

Big Opportunity, High Implied Total

Jones is the guy receiving the most opportunity on the team with the highest implied total on the slate. Julio leads the league with a .77 weighted opportunity rating and gets a tremendous matchup against a Tampa Bay defense that ranks dead last in pass DVOA. Julio tops all WR/CB matchup charts as the trio of Carlton Davis, M.J. Stewart and Brent Grimes attempt to slow #11 down. Jones is averaging 19.5 DK points per game this season in receptions + yardage alone – with those numbers, any touchdown scored is just a cherry on top.

Doug Baldwin

Seattle Seahawks
10/10/18, 7:22 PM ET

Doug Baldwin (knee) practices in full Wednesday

Doug Baldwin practiced in full Wednesday, and appears on track to suit up against the Raiders this weekend. Baldwin only managed one catch for one yard against the Rams this past week, so it is unclear if he is truly operating at full strength or not. That said, his full practice participation is a good sign that he is building towards 100% as the Seahawks look to bounce back against the Raiders this weekend.

Chris Hogan

New Orleans Saints
10/10/18, 5:51 PM ET

Chris Hogan (thigh) limited in practice Wednesday

Chris Hogan was limited in practice Wednesday due to a thigh issue. Hogan has had a disappointing season thus far, not having nearly the impact that was expected in the absence of Julian Edelman, and likely will only be involved less from here forward now that Edelman has returned. That said, all pieces of the Patriots offense have high ceilings in their likely shootout with the Chiefs this weekend, so keep an eye on Hogan’s status to see if he figures to get his usual workload in a plus matchup.
