Sony Michel (knee) limited in practice Wednesday
Sony Michel was limited in practice Wednesday for the Patriots due to a knee issue. That said, there is nothing to indicate his status is in doubt for the Patriots Sunday night battle with the Chiefs. Michel has looked great the past two weeks, and figures to be the lead rusher for a Patriots offense projected to score over 30 points currently. Keep an eye on his practice status this week to affirm there are no setbacks, but if he is good to go fire him up with confidence in this matchup.
Jamison Crowder (ankle) and Paul Richardson (knee) don't practice Wednesday for Redskins
Jamison Crowder (ankle) and Paul Richardson (knee) both missed practice Wednesday for Redskins. Coming off of a Monday night game, this may have just been standard maintenance as neither of them exited the game Monday due to injury. That said, keep an eye on if they are able to ramp up practice participation heading into the weekend to get a better idea of their status for Sunday against the Panthers.
Other tagged players: Paul RichardsonLarry Fitzgerald (hamstring/back) doesn't practice Wednesday
Larry Fitzgerald missed practice Wednesday due to hamstring and back injuries. The veteran WR has been banged up all season long, and clearly remains less than 100% as the team prepares to face the Vikings. Between the health issues and the strength of the Vikings secondary, Fitzgerald doesn’t appear poised for a big week this week, if he is able to suit up at all.
Dalvin Cook (hamstring) limited in practice Wednesday
Dalvin Cook was limited in practice Wednesday due to his lingering hamstring issue. Cook was inactive for the Vikings’ Week 5 contest due to the injury, but will look to bounce back this week against the Cardinals. Keep an eye on his practice status in the coming days to ensure that he doesn’t suffer any mid-week setbacks and is indeed on track to suit up this Sunday.
O.J. Howard (knee) limited in practice Wednesday
O.J. Howard was limited in practice Wednesday due to his knee injury. Howard was originally expected to miss 2-4 weeks due to an MCL sprain, so it is surprising to see him logging a limited practice this soon. If he is ultimately able to suit up ahead of schedule it will greatly limit the value of Cameron Brate, as Howard is clearly the superior TE of the two.
Mohamed Sanu (hip) limited in practice Wednesday
Mohamed Sanu was a limited participant in practice Wednesday for the Falcons due to a hip issue. Assuming Sanu is able to build his practice activity through the week and ultimately suit up Sunday, he will find himself in arguably the best matchup for receivers in all of football against the Buccaneers. Keep an eye on his practice status Thursday and Friday to confirm he will in fact suit up for week 6.
Devonta Freeman (foot) doesn't practice Wednesday
Devonta Freeman missed practice Wednesday due to a foot injury. Freeman returned week 5 for the Falcons after missing three weeks due to a knee injury, and appears banged up again heading into week 6. His practice status Thursday and Friday will help determine if this DNP is maintenance related or if he is truly in danger of missing Sunday’s contest with Tampa Bay. If Freeman were to miss, Tevin Coleman would lead the rushing attack for the Falcons with Ito Smith being utilized as a change-of-pace back as well.
Rookie RB Putting up Big Numbers at Bargain Price
Rookie Running Back Phillip Lindsay ranks fifth in the league in rushing yards per attempt (5.8) and ranks 11th in rushing yards (328) yet he remains underpriced across DFS sites at $4,500 on DraftKings, $6,100 on FanDuel, and $8,800 on FantasyDraft. The Broncos RB has remained involved in the passing games as well, with 8 receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown. This week Denver takes on a Rams defense that ranks 29th in rushing yards per attempt allowed (5.0) in a game with one of the higher over/unders on the slate at 52.5. Lindsay goes overlooked due to sharing the Broncos backfield, but he is a bargain play with big-point upside taking on the Rams this week in Denver.
Both Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp remain in concussion protocol
Rams WRs Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp both remain in concussion protocol after sustaining concussions in the Rams week 5 win against the Seahawks. They both seem to be truly questionable for the weekend pending their ability to pass through the protocol – if one or both of them were to miss, look for Jared Goff to lean on Robert Woods and rookie WR Josh Reynolds in their absence.
Other tagged players: Cooper KuppDeshaun Watson (chest) and Lamar Miller (chest) both limited in practice Wednesday for Texans
Deshaun Watson and Lamar Miller were both limited in practice Wednesday for the Texans due to chest injuries. At this point neither of them appear to be in any serious danger of missing this weekend’s contest against the Bills, but keep an eye on their practice status in the coming days to affirm that they’ll both be active.
Other tagged players: Lamar MillerEric Ebron (leg) doesn't practice Wednesday
Eric Ebron missed practice Wednesday due to an assortment of leg injuries, with shin, quad, ankle and knee injuries listed. The severity of these issues is yet to be determined, but keep an eye on his practice availability in the coming days to get a clearer picture of his Week 6 availability. If he were to miss and Jack Doyle remains inactive as well, Erik Swoope would be the lead TE for the Colts as the last remaining healthy body at the position.
Marlon Mack (hamstring) practices in full Wednesday
Marlon Mack practiced in full Wednesday, and appears on track to return to the Colts for Week 6 after missing Week 5 due to a hamstring injury. Mack’s presence will cut into the workload of Nyheim Hines, although it is yet to be seen how their carries will be split as Hines has had decent success in Mack’s absence.
Greg Olsen (foot) limited in practice Wednesday
Per the earlier report, Greg Olsen was able to log a limited practice Wednesday, and appears on track to make his return for week 6 against the Redskins.
DeVante Parker (quad) limited in practice Wednesday
DeVante Parker was limited in practice Wednesday due to his quad injury. The report out of Dolphins camp was that Parker was aiming for a week 6 return from his quad issue, and still appears on track to play this weekend with today’s limited practice. However, keep an eye out for any mid-week setbacks, as Parker’s health has been an issue all season long.
Giovani Bernard (knee) doesn't practice Wednesday
Giovani Bernard didn’t practice Wednesday due to his MCL injury. It was originally anticipated that the injury would keep Bernard out 2-4 weeks, so it his absence from practice only further supports the idea that he will not be active this weekend against the Steelers. Look for Joe Mixon to lead the backfield in his absence, with Mark Walton picking up change-of-pace duties for the Bengals.
