Spencer Ware will be a game-time decision for Chiefs on Sunday
Nothing like more uncertainty in a week filled with uncertainty. Ware appeared to be one of the safer plays this week but Head Coach Andy Reid stated he’ll be a game-time decision on Sunday against the Chargers. He’s an excellent option if he does go as would be his backup Charcandrick West if for some reason (we expect Ware to play) Ware can’t play.

Darren McFadden misses practice today for Cowboys
McFadden is expected to get a good chunk of the Cowboys RB work this week with the team having clinched home field and a first round bye. However, this puts some doubt into those plans. The team is hopeful he’ll recover from his illness in time to play on Sunday but those looking to roster the former starter should temper their expectations. Alfred Morris would be in line for some more work if McFadden can’t play.

Hooper was expected but Gabriel is a bit of a surprise as he returned to practice yesterday. The team is deciding to play it safe with him though and have ruled him out this week. Neither were attractive DFS options anyway due to diminished roles in the high-powered Falcons offense.

Boldin isn’t on the Lions injury report but he’s clearly bothered by an injury he suffered against the Cowboys on Monday. Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reported that Boldin was barely thrown the ball during practice and when he was, he caught balls with his right hand only. Boldin, who’s leading the team in receiving touchdowns, is Stafford’s favorite red zone target. He has 20 looks in the red zone this season, which is good for third in the NFL. His situation is worth tracking. If his finger turns out to be fine, he would have some tournament appeal against a Green Bay pass defense that’s allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers over the past four weeks. If it seems like he’ll be limited, Marvin Jones, Golden Tate, and Eric Ebron could get some more red zone passes. We should know more by Sunday.

Robert Griffin will start on Sunday
Griffin has one last chance to prove himself worthy of being in the Browns’ future. It may be too little too late though. Griffin, across four starts, has yet to eclipse 200 passing yards or throw a touchdown pass. Despite a clear incentive to perform well in a meaningless game against a Steelers defense that could potentially rest some of its starters, he won’t be a viable fantasy option.

Britt may rest for the Rams’ final game. Tavon Austin, Brian Quick, and Lance Kendricks would all see some extra targets against the Cardinals. None of them would be great options in fantasy though; Los Angeles has an implied team total of 17 points.

Gabriel (foot) got in a limited practice after missing Wednesday’s entirely. He’s not a great option this week with Julio Jones healthier and Mohamed Sanu also starting. Austin Hooper is dealing with a sprained MCL and appears to be doubtful for Week 17.

Riddick should be considered doubtful for Sunday. Zach Zenner will get the start in his place and Dwayne Washington will work in behind him. He did well last week against the Cowboys, accounting for 92 yards and two scores. Green Bay was one of the top-ranked rushing defenses earlier this season but they’ve slipped to 12th in rush DVOA. Zenner is priced at or near the minimum across the industry, so he’s worth a look as a tournament value play in Detroit’s must-win game.

Cobb will need to get back to practice tomorrow to play on Sunday, and it seems doubtful that will happen. Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams are both nice fantasy options in Week 17. Lions DB Darius Slay should be back in the lineup but he’ll likely be playing at less than 100%. Nelson is coming off a big 9/154/2 game and projects as our WR2. Starks, who’s still in the concussion protocol, also appears doutbful. Christine Michael returned to practice after sitting out on Wednesday. Although the Packers have said they want to get him more involved, they haven’t done so yet. Ty Montgomery should lead the backfield in touches against Detroit’s 22nd-ranked rush defense.

These guys appear to be trending towards doubtful for Week 17. Quincy Enunwa would be the number one receiver and receive a nice volume of targets if Marshall and Anderson sit. He’s flashed some serious skill sporadically over the course of the season but only has one game with more than 100 yards. While he’s a risky bet given his team and situation, he’ll be if Marshall and Anderson are out. If Powell ends up sitting it’s probably best to avoid the Jets backfield, which is expected to be a time share between Brandon Wilds and Brandon Burks.

He’s dealing with an illness but is expected to play Sunday. While the team isn’t playing for anything, he’s looking to get paid in the offseason. He will certainly have incentive to go hard in his last game of a disappointing season. The Bears take on the Vikings this weekend, so Jeffery will have his work cut out for him.

Mark Sanchez and Darren McFadden are expected to receive the majority of snaps at quarterback and running back, respectively. Although Dallas hasn’t specifically stated how much Prescott and Elliot will play before being taken out of the game, they might only stay in for a couple of series or a quarter. It’ll be best to avoid Prescott, Elliot, and Dez Bryant.

Rex Burkhead will start at running back against the Ravens in Week 17. He’ll be one of many interesting value options this weekend as he should have a pretty hefty workload, which should include some receptions out of the backfield. Baltimore ranks first in rush DVOA on the season, but they’ve allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to running backs over the past four weeks. Ryan Mathews and Le’Veon Bell each rushed for over 120 yards, averaged over 6.0 yards per carry, and scored a touchdown in Weeks 15 and 16, respectively.

Miller is unlikely to play this week with the Texans already having a postseason bid locked up. Alfred Blue should get a substantial amount of work against the Titans.

The disappointing season for the Panthers WR has officially come to an end as the team has placed him on the IR. It’s not a big impact on the team as they’ll be playing a meaningless game with the potential of Cam Newton sitting out.
