Mika Zibanejad put up four points in the season opening playing with his new linemates in Pavel Buchnevich and Artemi Panarin. Zibanejad also fired seven shots on net hitting not only the point bonus but the shot bonus too while being one block away from the triple bonus.

Brad Marchand is the definition of a player you love to have on your team but you hate to play against. It doesn’t help that he has elite offensive talent playing on one of the most potent offensive lines in hockey. The trio (Marchand/Bergeron/Pastrnak) also play on the top power-play unit together giving them elite upside.

Nathan MacKinnon centers arguably the best like in the NHL with Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen on his wings. All three skaters managed to put up at least 30 goals and 75 points with MacKinnon leading the way with 41 and 99 respectively. This line has elite upside as they all play on the top power play unit together.

While Florida will miss the playoffs, they still have been a solid team in the second half of the season. The long-term injury to Vincent Trocheck early in the season really was too much to overcome. Additionally, Roberto Luongo missed considerable time this season. Nonetheless, Lu will start tonight and takes on a New Jersey team which just cannot score in the second half of the season, averaging just 2.16 goals per game – the worst mark in the National Hockey League. There are a number of viable options in net tonight, Matt Murray being the safest option, but if you need a little savings, Roberto checks in at just $7,800 on FanDuel and he is $400 cheaper than Murray on DraftKings. It is a slate where even a couple hundred dollars in salary relief can go a long way.
Cheap mid-season acquisiton could flourish tonight
Jared McCann figures to be on the top line with Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel tonight, a fearsome duo which has been quite productive. While McCann himself has been relatively quiet recently, he has been bouncing around the Penguins’ lineup. Of course, much of Pittsburgh’s production is tied to their top power play unit, but McCann is on the second unit. This seems like a game Pittsburgh can get off to a hot start, build a substantial lead and then open things up with depth players like McCann. In any case, Jared is one of the best sources of salary relief given the matchup. He checks in around $4,000 on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
This line should dominate from puck drop
Columbus is another team playing tonight with playoff implications on the line. They secured their playoff spot last night with a shoot out win, but they are also looking to avoid Tampa Bay in the first round. Artemi Panarin, Cam Atkinson, and Matt Duchene draw a great matchup as they visit Ottawa. Ottawa has been a defensive disaster all season and there is no reason not to keep targeting against them. Zach Werenski is the power-play quarterback on the top unit that correlates with this potent line stack.

Sebastian Aho, Justin Williams, and Nino Niederreiter need a win tonight to avoid the Tampa Bay Lightening in round one of the playoffs. Carolina has played well down the stretch while posting a 66.69 CF/60 over the past month and generating 14.01 HDCF/60 during that span. If you want to pair defenseman with this top line, look to Justin Faulk for power-play correlation.
