DFS Tournament Report: NFL Week 6
It was a fairly quiet Monday night as far as the football game went but there was plenty of money up for grabs. Players like DraftCheat (aka chripe01 at FanDuel), Comox_Warrior and RotoGrinder user cheatc0des took down coveted live final seats. Two millionaires were made, bcalicore took down a GPP, and bkaylkiec won not one, but two GPP’s at FanDuel for $175,000 total in winnings. Here’s a review of all the big GPP’s:

It was an uneventful end to a fairly uneventful MNF game. DeMarco Murray did go over 100 yards rushing to give players with him on DraftKings the bonus. It also gave jdtrey22 a last minute victory in the $500K Snap #2 on FanDuel. We’ll have a full review of the GPP standings momentarily.
11:13 p.m. ET
A 39 yard field goal from Caleb Sturgis gives the Eagles a 27-7 lead. Kickers only impact FanDuel GPP’s and this field goal gave mikefaries1984 some breathing room in the $750K Monster as he’s now 11 points ahead of the nearest player who has PMR. That was the only change of significance.
11:05 p.m. ET
The third quarter ends with yet another turnover – the seventh of the game – and nothing changing in DFS GPP land. There’s still some sweats left though and the last quarter will determine the fate of many looking to hit a big score.
10:42 p.m. ET
Finally some action as the Eagles take advantage of a running into the punter penalty and strong running from DeMarco Murray (who scored the TD) to add to their lead.
That moved sparty11 into tenth place in the FanDuel $5M Sunday Million – he’s 6.6 points behind the leader. Jdtrey22 moves into fifth place in the $500K Snap #2, just 3.2 points behind the current leader.
Ugotnuts on the strength of Jordan Mathews and the Eagles defense has taken the lead in the $1.5M Play-Action, just .7 points ahead of joshfey. He’ll be rooting for the Eagles defense to continue to hold the Giants down. Muscles_Malenad has also used the surprising play of the Eagles defense to move into third place in the $600K Slant, just 2.24 points behind the leader. Tmneric benefited greatly from the Murray touchdown as that moved him into the lead in the $500K Thunderdome.

A very uneventful second quarter ended with a Cody Parkey field goal. Here’s a look at where we stand at the half:
Fan Duel – umpires1 is actually riding a strong performance from the Eagles defense into a top 10 score in the $5M Sunday Million. He’s up to a tie for sixth place and is only 6 points behind the leader adrianbeatyerson. Naynay1260 is 15.8 points behind mikefaries1984 in the $750K Monster with Ryan Mathews, Odell Beckham, and Larry Donnell remaining and has moved into the top ten.
DraftKings – no significant changes in the top ten of any of the big GPP’s.
9:20 p.m. ET
A pick six for the Eagles defense but it’s unlikely many rostered either of these defenses this weekend. There was an extra point from a kicker though which added a point to mikefaries1984’s lead.
9:01 p.m. ET
After a Giants turnover, the Eagles have a quick drive of their own with Sam Bradford hitting Riley Cooper for a 30+ yard TD pass. That did nothing to change any GPP standings. However, the extra point from Caleb Sturgis did move mikefaries1984 into first place in the $750K Monster.
8:38 p.m. ET
The Giants drive down the field in quick fashion with Eli Manning hitting Odell Beckham for a TD. Did that change anything? Not at DraftKings where the top 10 in all the GPP’s remained the same. That also held true at FanDuel where the status quo also remained unchanged.

If you didn’t have Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson in your lineups yesterday, chances are you didn’t have a shot at the top prize in a GPP. That along with the likes of DeAndre Hopkins, Chris Ivory, and Alshon Jeffery was the recipe for success in the big NFL tournaments. As always, we’ll be here throughout the night providing live updates and will also review the Live Qualifiers and who takes down the seats at the end of the night.

Dirty6613 is sitting pretty with a lineup containing the popular Stafford/Megatron stack coupled with great performances from Chris Ivory, DeAndre Hopkins, Alshon Jeffery, and Steve Smith. He only has one threat in the top 100 with any PMR left and that is NLSoldier who will need a big game from an under priced TE to win the seven-figure first place prize.

Joshfey leads the way with a Stafford/Megatron/Hopkins lineup that also featured big games from John Brown and Brandon Marshall. He does have a bit of a sweat though as glennonbr sits 15 points behind with Jordan Matthews remaining.

DraftKings $1M Kickoff Million ($3 entry)
Raging_Earwigs holds a comfortable lead in DraftKings Thursday night contest with a lineup that includes the automatic Devonta Freeman and his 50%+ ownership and Stafford/Megatron. Hambone17 is his closest competitor, 27 points behind, and will need a big game from what looks to be Reuben Randle.

The DraftKings “high roller” sees bigr0161 leading with a Stafford/Megatron/ and Chris Ivory, Keenan Allen, Greg Olsen lineup with robbie622 his closest competition, 23 points behind with a RB that is likely Shane Vereen or Darren Sproles.

DraftKings $600K Slant ($9 entry)
One of the top names in DFS, bcalicore, leads the Slant with a non-Stafford/Megatron lineup as he went with Blake Bortles, Allen Robinson, Hopkins, John Brown, and Ivory. He needs only to fade a decent game from the TE’s in the game to come out on top.

DraftKings ran out their version of a Super High Roller with the $5,300 Thunderdome and it’s recent Milly Maker winner ChipotleAddict who holds the lead with a lineup that included Hopkins, Megatron and Ivory. However, he is going to need a bad outing from DeMarco Murray as tmneric is only 10.6 points behind and has the former Cowboy star left on his team.

Adrianbeatyerson holds the lead in the FanDuel Sunday Million with a unique lineup that has Stafford but no Calvin Johnson. He will have to hold off a big game from Josh Huff or Riley Cooper as wouldacouldashoulda sits 17.3 points behind with one of those two.

Bkaylkiec was yet another team with the popular Stafford-Johnson-Hopkins trio that found itself on the top of the standings. He has to fade some kickers and shifty pass catching backs if he wants to hold onto the lead.

The popular FanDuel “high roller” GPP sees robbie622 dominating the leader board with three of the top four spots. He’s likely to lose that lead, however, as mikefaries is only .6 points behind and has a kicker remaining. Mstojakovic is also lurking, 15 points behind, with a WR that is most likely Reuben Randle, Josh Huff, or Riley Cooper.

It’s not often you can turn $2 into $25,000 but that’s precisely what you can do in FanDuel’s $500K Snap. The current leader is the same player leading the Rush, bkaylkiec, using the same lineup he is using in that GPP. He looks like he only needs to fade a big game from a kicker as he is 13.7 points ahead of nettles who is in 16th place.
