Jake Peavy : FD: $7,200 — DK: $6,200
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 271.0 — SIERA: 4.19 — ERA: 3.85 — K%: 18.2% — BB%: 7.3% — HR/9: 1.0

Los Angeles Dodgers Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.325 (Rank: 3) — Strikeout Rate: 20.4% (Rank: 17)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.309 (Rank: 23) — Strikeout Rate: 21.6% (Rank: 19)
Pitches per PA: 3.89 (Rank: 5)
Analysis: Peavy has been in good form recently, but he draws one of the worst pitching matchups on the board. The Dodgers are ranked fifth in team wOBA against right-handed pitching this season. They also average the fifth-most pitches per plate appearance. With so many other great pitching options on the board, Peavy is not on my radar tonight.
Pitcher Rating: 50.2
Brett Anderson : FD: $7,400 — DK: $7,000
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 190.2 — SIERA: 3.46 — ERA: 3.26 — K%: 16.2% — BB%: 6.6% — HR/9: 0.7
Last 30 Days: IP: 36.2 — SIERA: 3.59 — ERA: 3.93 — K%: 13.1% — BB%: 5.9% — HR/9: 1.2
San Francisco Giants Offense (2015)
vs. LH Pitching: wOBA: 0.310 (Rank: 13) — Strikeout Rate: 18.9% (Rank: 6)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.305 (Rank: 24) — Strikeout Rate: 22.1% (Rank: 22)
Pitches per PA: 3.75 (Rank: 24)
Analysis: Anderson’s strikeout rate continues to plummet. Over the last month of play, Anderson has a 13.1% strikeout rate. Add in a matchup against the Giants, who have the sixth-lowest strikeout rate against left-handed pitching this season, and we have ourselves an easy avoid.
Pitcher Rating: 70.8

San Francisco
Even though I won’t be targeting Brett Anderson against the Giants, I am not going to heavily target this offense either. Since the start of the 2014 season, Anderson has held both left and right-handed hitters under a .315 wOBA.

LA Dodgers
The Dodgers draw a decent matchup tonight against Jake Peavy, who has given up a .317+ wOBA to both left and right-handed hitters over the last two seasons. Adrian Gonzalez deserves consideration as an elite play at his extremely discounted price point.

Colby Lewis : FD: $6,900 — DK: $7,800
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 334.2 — SIERA: 4.27 — ERA: 4.79 — K%: 17.3% — BB%: 5.7% — HR/9: 1.3

San Diego Padres Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.299 (Rank: 26) — Strikeout Rate: 21.6% (Rank: 26)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.368 (Rank: 4) — Strikeout Rate: 18.5% (Rank: 9)
Pitches per PA: 3.83 (Rank: 12)
Analysis: Lewis is always an easy pitcher to avoid in daily fantasy. Over the last month of play, Lewis has a 4.86 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 13.2%. Even though he draws a favorable matchup against the Padres in the pitcher-friendly Petco Park, he is not a recommended fantasy option tonight. Kyle Hendricks and Bartolo Colon are both better options at this price point.
Pitcher Rating: 48.5
Tyson Ross : FD: $8,900 — DK: $9,700
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 353.2 — SIERA: 3.28 — ERA: 3.08 — K%: 24.6% — BB%: 9.7% — HR/9: 0.5

Texas Rangers Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.319 (Rank: 8) — Strikeout Rate: 19.2% (Rank: 8)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.328 (Rank: 14) — Strikeout Rate: 17.4% (Rank: 3)
Pitches per PA: 3.80 (Rank: 17)
Analysis: Ross has always pitched well at home and he comes into tonight’s start in good form, posting a 3.36 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 25.0% over the last month of play. Ross does walk a lot of batters, but his high strikeout rate more than makes up for it. With all of the aces on the mound tonight, he should get overlooked, which makes him a great tournament play at home against the Rangers.
Pitcher Rating: 83.4

Texas
The Rangers hit right-handed pitching well as a team, but they draw a tough matchup against Tyson Ross in the pitcher-friendly Petco Park. Prince Fielder is cheap and makes a decent punt option at first base. The rest of the Rangers are secondary options at best.

San Diego
The Padres may be playing at home in a pitcher-friendly ballpark, but they do draw a nice matchup against Colby Lewis, who has given up a .330+ wOBA to both left and right-handed hitters over the last two seasons. Justin Upton and Matt Kemp are both nice tournament plays.
