Chris Archer : FD: $12,000 — DK: $12,300
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 369.2 — SIERA: 3.25 — ERA: 3.12 — K%: 25.7% — BB%: 7.6% — HR/9: 0.7

Baltimore Orioles Offense (2015)
vs. RH Pitching: wOBA: 0.320 (Rank: 7) — Strikeout Rate: 22.3% (Rank: 28)
Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.338 (Rank: 8) — Strikeout Rate: 21.2% (Rank: 18)
Pitches per PA: 3.81 (Rank: 14)
Analysis: Archer continues to rack up the strikeouts. He is only 12 strikeouts behind Chris Sale for the American League lead. He could very realistically strikeout 12 batters tonight against the Orioles, who have the third-highest strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. The Orioles do have plenty of power in their offense, but they will swing and miss plenty. If Archer can keep the ball in the yard, he has a good chance to be the highest scoring pitcher on the board tonight.
Pitcher Rating: 93.7
Wei-Yin Chen : FD: $8,000 — DK: $8,200
Pitching Stats:
2014 – 2015: IP: 341.2 — SIERA: 3.90 — ERA: 3.37 — K%: 18.5% — BB%: 5.0% — HR/9: 1.2

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.321 (Rank: 16) — Strikeout Rate: 18.0% (Rank: 6)
Pitches per PA: 3.84 (Rank: 11)
Analysis: Chen has been in relatively good form recently, posting a 3.93 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 19.6% over the last month of play. He is a small underdog tonight, but he does draw a favorable matchup against the Rays, who are ranked fifth in team wOBA against left-handed pitching. The biggest issue here is run support. With Chris Archer pitching opposite him, Chen can safely be avoided in all league formats.
Pitcher Rating: 62.4

Tampa Bay
The Rays hit left-handed pitching well as a team and they also see a nice ballpark boost tonight playing in the hitter-friendly Camden Yards. The right-handed hitters have the edge in this matchup, as Wei-Yin Chen has given up a .331 wOBA to hitters from that side of the plate.

The Orioles draw one of the worst matchups on the board tonight, as they square off against Chris Archer. Since the start of the 2014 season, Archer has held both left and right-handed hitters under a .285 wOBA. The Orioles do face him at home, but they are tournament plays at best tonight.

Analysis: Salazar’s great run will likely come crashing to a halt tonight, as he takes on the best offense in baseball. The Blue Jays seem to score double-digit runs every couple of nights and the fact that he has to face them in the Rogers Centre just makes matters worse. He should be avoided in all league formats tonight.

Last 14 Days: wOBA: 0.333 (Rank: 11) — Strikeout Rate: 19.2% (Rank: 11)
Pitches per PA: 3.92 (Rank: 3)
Analysis: Price has been terrific since coming over from the Tigers. Over the last month of play, he has a 3.16 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 26.5%. He draws a difficult matchup against the Indians, who are ranked 12th in team wOBA and fifth in strikeout rate against left-handed pitching. The good news is that he has pitched well against Cleveland this season and he has a potent offense behind him. Of the three aces on the mound tonight, he may be the safest.
Pitcher Rating: 96.4

Cleveland
Even though the Indians see a favorable ballpark shift tonight playing in the hitter-friendly Rogers Centre, they are not recommended fantasy options. Since the start of the 2014 season, David Price has held both left and right-handed hitters under a .295 wOBA.

The Blue Jays may have the best offense in baseball, but they are a bit overpriced for their matchup tonight. I expect their offense to score some runs, but I’m not thrilled about the idea of paying up for any of these hitters. Analysis: Narveson has been an easy pitcher to avoid thus far. While he does have a 22.4% strikeout rate in 15.1 innings this season, he has never been a high-strikeout pitcher. His matchup against the Braves is appealing, but they strikeout at low rate against right-handed pitching. There is more risk than potential reward with Narveson tonight.
Pitcher Rating: 54.3

Analysis: Foltynewicz has been one of my favorite pitchers to pick hitters against. On the season, he has a 5.67 ERA (4.27 SIERA) with a strikeout rate of 18.8%. He has given up 1.7 home runs per nine innings and he doesn’t have great splits against left or right-handed hitters. Even though the Marlins’ offense is less than potent at this point of the season, Foltynewicz is not on my radar tonight.

Jerad Eickhoff : FD: $5,100 — DK: $5,000
Pitching Stats:

Pitches per PA: 3.88 (Rank: 7)
Analysis: Eickhoff has pitched well in his first two starts of the season. He also pitched well in his last three minor league starts. He draws a tough matchup tonight against the Mets, who are ranked second in team wOBA over the last 14 days of play. He could be worth a look in tournaments, but at this point, it’s hard to trust any pitcher that is facing these Mets.
Pitcher Rating: 52.9
Bartolo Colon : FD: $7,600 — DK: $6,800

Pitches per PA: 3.72 (Rank: 27)
Analysis: Colon has been in less than ideal form recently, posting a 4.40 SIERA with a strikeout rate of 14.5% over the last month of play. He draws a favorable matchup tonight at home against the Phillies, who are ranked 27th in team wOBA and 15th in strikeout rate against right-handed pitching this season. While I usually don’t like to target low strikeout pitchers, he should be able to pick up the win, making him a viable SP2 tonight on multi-pitcher sites.
Pitcher Rating: 69.1

Philadelphia
The Phillies draw a decent matchup tonight against Bartolo Colon, although they do have to face him in the pitcher-friendly Citi Field. The Phillies lack power in their offense, but they have been a good source of value recently. That is the case again tonight against Colon, who has given up a .315+ wOBA to both left and right-handed hitters.

NY Mets
The Mets have been one of the best offenses in all of baseball over the last few weeks. They aren’t nearly as good at home as they are on the road, but they draw a decent matchup against rookie Jerad Eickhoff, who is only making his third career major league start tonight.
