Sports Info Solutions: MLB DFS Advice for Saturday, June 9th

America’s Pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
America’s Pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
Because of the amount of information available to the DFS player, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve tried to help you out by recommending a number of well-priced options by using Sports Info Solutions’ “SIS Model 3”.
SIS Model 3 gives DFS players an edge when setting their lineups as it uses the most expansive and accurate wealth of baseball data to create a tested DFS algorithm. You can learn more about the development of the algorithm in the RotoGrinders Marketplace.

Pitching Option
Domingo German, New York Yankees (FD Price $6700) There are two keys factors to selecting German on Saturday. First is his price which allows DFS players a much larger budget for hitters and his career strikeout percentage (25.7%) which is elite among today’s starters. German will face a Mets “offense” that hasn’t scored more than one run in a game since June 1st and just seven total runs in six June games.
Hitting Options
C/1B) Gary Sanchez, New York Yankees (FD Price $3400)
Sanchez is crushing LHP and owns a .426 wOBA for the season. He’s even better against southpaws on the road (.449 wOBA). The lefty Matz has struggled to get out right-hand hitters, particularly at Citi Field (.393 wOBA).
2B) Ben Zobrist , Chicago Cubs (FD Price $2900)
The price is right to start Zobrist against RHP Nick Kingham as he’s posted a .377 wOBA against right-handers this season. Kingham features the fastball 61.6% of the time and Zobrist owns a solid 8.1 wFB.
3B) Max Muncy, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD Price $3300)
Every fantasy owner would like to start Nolen Arenado ($5200) Saturday, but I’ve found a better value in Muncy. Muncy has produced at a .384 wOBA against RHP this season and at a .487 wOBA through the first eight days of June. He’ll face Anibal Sanchez, who no longer has a potent fastball and his most effective pitches are the cutter and changeup. Muncy has been most productive in 2018 against the cutter (3.7) and changeup (2.7).

SS) Trevor Story, Colorado (FD Price $4200)
We saved our money, so that we could insert a player like Story in our lineup. He’s at home against RHP Matt Koch and owns a .406 wOBA at Coors Field against righties, including a home run Friday night versus Zack Greinke.
OF) Charlie Blackmon, Colorado (FD Price $4800)
We continue to attack Koch with Blackmon, who is producing at a .388 wOBA versus RHP. He also homered last night.
OF) Justin Upton, Los Angeles Angels (FD Price $3900)
Mike Trout gets the publicity, but Upton has been putting together another good season with 15 HR, 37 RBI and a .350 wOBA. He’ll face the Kyle Gibson (59.2% FB) and Upton has been right on that pitch all season (7.2 wFB).

OF) Joc Pederson, Los Angeles Dodgers (FD Price $2700)
No one has been hotter than Pederson with six home runs in his last 20 ABs. All six have come against RHP and he should get the start on Saturday against Sanchez. Overall he’s a .392 wOBA against RHP.
UTIL) Ian Kinsler, Los Angeles Angels (FD Price $3000)
Now to make everything fit under the cap, we selected Kinsler who has produced five home runs and a 1.080 OPS over the past two weeks.
Stacking Option
When it comes time to draft a fantasy baseball team in DFS, stacking is a widely accepted strategy. There’s a reason: it works. If you want to win big, you will need a gigantic score, and stacking makes it easier to rack up the points because the scoring of batters in a given lineup is interrelated. Batters reaching base allows the hitters down the line to drive them in, creating something of a snowball effect.
Colorado Rockies

It’s not hard to see where to go here. I’ve already included Story and Blackmon and you can add Carlos Gonzalez and Gerardo Parra.
