Kawhi Leonard (foot) ruled out Wednesday; Nicolas Batum (shoulder) and Amir Coffey (tailbone) listed available to play Wednesday
Kawhi was listed as doubtful with his foot injury, and was ultimately downgraded to out as the Clippers prepare to play the Phoenix Suns. Batum and Coffey were both upgaded from questionable to available; Batum’s return is certainly the bigger name as Coffey may not play as much while Batum will likely play 28 minutes or so off the bench. With no Kawhi, it’ll still be PG-13 season, as he’s one of the best pay-up options on the slate. Terrence Mann will stay in the starting lineup, but his salary has come up quite a bit since he was the minimum priced chalk value.

Marvin Bagley (hand) ruled out Wednesday
Bagley was listed as doubtful and ultimately downgraded to out as the Kings prepare to play the Utah Jazz. Bagley has missed six weeks and his getting closer to a return; coach Walton mentioned that he’s progressed to 3 on 3 work, but isn’t quite ready yet. With no Harrison Barnes, it’ll be plenty of minutes for Mo Harkless and Terrence Davis, with Chimezie Metu playing some minutes at the 4 as well.

Crowder and Saric were both questionable to play against the LA Clippers, but both were ultimately downgraded to out. Crowder will miss his fourth straight game with an ankle injury, while Saric will miss his third straight with an ankle injury. In the last game, Torrey Craig got the start, but only played 17 minutes; he’s rarely a good per minute producer as is, but could get minutes again with the start. Cam Johnson is the bigger winner; he’s averaged 32 minutes the last four games with no Crowder, and should be projected for a similar role again tonight. Frank Kaminsky should continue to play a few minutes off the bench in place of Saric, but Johnson is the biggest winner.

Adams was a game-time decision due to his toe injury, but was ultimately cleared to play against the Denver Nuggets. He should start and play his usual 28 or so minutes, with possible room for more since they trust him to match up with Nikola Jokic. Jaxson Hayes and Willy Hernnagomez are now out of consideration as reliable DFS plays.

In his pregame news conference, coach Van Gundy mentioned that Adams would be a game-time decision; he’ll go through his warmups and a status will be known closer to then. As for Johnson, he was upgraded from probable to available and will make his return after a four game absence with an adductor injury. Johnson will be on a minutes restriction, so he won’t be a good play on his own, but he may take away minutes from Naji Marshall. If Adams sits, Jaxson Hayes would likely start, with Willy Hernangomez splitting center minutes; both would be viable punts as they produce well from a point per minute rate.

Robinson will ultimately start as expected against the San Antonio Spurs. Robinson had an illness that gave him a scare, but should be good to go now. He may play a few more minutes now that Tyler Herro is out, but Kendrick Nunn is back, so it won’t be the potential we thought earlier in the day.

The Lakers had three players listed as probable, and all three will start against the Washington Wizards. AD should continue to get his minutes increased, KCP should have to play a few more mins at the wing with no Alex Caruso, and the same goes for Schroder.

Coach Brad Stevens has never been shy about changing up his starting lineup, and today is no exception. Tremont Waters gets the start at point guard with no Kemba and no Smart. Payton Pritchard will continue to come off the bench, and may end up still playing more minutes, but this certainly puts Waters as a viable play. Fournier getting the start is also a good sign for his play. Finally, Robert Williams will come off the bench in his return, giving Thompson one more start; neither player is likely to hit their ceiling as they’ll likely split minutes.

Burks was supposed to make his return from the protocols, but he ultimately was listed as inactive for the game against the Chicago Bulls. Burks’ absence should lead to more minutes for Reggie Bullock yet again.

Lou Will will get the start for the Hawks, which certainly increases his floor and ceiling by a good amount. We are projecting him for 30 minutes, and he should be a great value play as a result. Goodwin will get the start and may end up playing hefty minutes, but his price has gone up from the last time he was popular. Solomon Hill will start and likely play heavy minutes but not produce at a high rate.

Vassell will get the start in place of White as the Spurs prepare to play the Miami Heat. Coach Popovich wants to keep Lonnie Walker off the bench in a “Manu” role, so there’s a chance that he ends up closing for the team, but this is certainly a bump up for Vassell as he was out of the rotation for a little while.

Herro was ruled out due to his foot injury and will miss his third straight game against the San Antonio Spurs. In his pre-game news conference, coach Spolestra also mentioned that Nunn would play, while Robinson will warm up with the intention to play, marking him more as probable than questionable. With no Herro, Goran Dragic sees a good bump; he usually plays off the bench with Herro, and shows increased FPM production and usage. Nunn will also get a few more minutes as well now that Herro is out and Nunn is in, but the Heat usage should still come from Bam and Butler.

Caruso was downgraded from questionable with back spasms to out, and will miss the game against the Washington Wizards. Caruso would’ve likely played minutes in the low 20’s off the bench, so those minutes should be picked up by Wesley Matthews, Ben McLemore, and Talen Horton-Tucker.

The Hawks will be down to eleven healthy bodies as they prepare to play the Philadelphia 76ers. Bogdanovic was downgraded from questionable to out due to a hamstring injury, while Goodwin was upgraded from questionable with an ankle injury and will play and may have to play hefty minutes. The Hawks have no Trae Young or Kevin Huerter, so they will be severely shorthanded in the backcourt. There’s no CourtIQ data since they haven’t played without all of these players all year, but there’s a few clear winners. Goodwin could end up playing hefty minutes; even though he was injured, he’ll likely have to play. Lou Williams may end up playing a lot off the bench, but he did miss time with an illness so there’s a chance he gets limited. Skylar Mays should play backup PG mins, while Kris Dunn will have to play more than his 14 minutes last game. He’s still on a restriction, so it’s possible he doesn’t get past 25 minutes, but there is certainly volatility. It makes sense that more usage would flow through the frontcourt; John Collins and Clint Capela may end up putting more shots, while Danilo Gallinari and Solomon Hill may be viable as well. Still, the guards and particularly Goodwin are great plays for this decimated Hawks team.

Lopez was upgraded from probable with an ankle injury to available to play against the LA Lakers. Lopez will come off the bench in the Wizards three center rotation, and he mostly takes away from the ceiling of Daniel Gafford off the bench.
