Raul Neto will take Bradley Beal’s spot in the starting lineup for the Wizards Saturday night when they take on the Phoenix Suns

Bradley Beal (hip) ruled out Saturday

As expected when Bradley Beal was listed as doubtful earlier in the day he has been downgraded to out for Saturday due to a sore hip. Raul Neto will likely slide into his spot in the starting lineup with Garrison Matthews getting increased run and Russell Westbrook becoming an elite play. Rui Hachimura also stands to benefit from the potential Beal news as well as the Bertans (out) news that came out earlier in the day as he sees a 5.9% usage bump and a .10 FPPM bump with them both off the floor. Deni Avdija will likely benefit from their absences as well.

Lineup Update: Sixers will start Simmons, Curry, Thybulle, Korkmaz, Embiid on Saturday

Tobias Harris (knee) and Danny Green (hip) listed out Saturday

Tobias Harris (knee) and Danny Green (hip) listed out Saturday after popping up on the injury report earlier in the day. Furkan Korkmaz and Matisse Thybulle will take their places in the starting lineup. Joel Embiid with an admittedly small sample size of 71 minutes sees a usage rate increase of 8.6% and a FPPM bump of .42 when both Harris and Green are off the floor. Shake Milton and Ben Simmons also see usage rate increases with these two off the floor.

Lineup Note: Kent Bazemore will start Saturday

Kent Bazemore will start Saturday for injured Kelly Oubre (wrist)

Alex Caruso (knee) available Saturday

Alex Caruso (knee) is available Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets. This is good news as the Lakers are shorthanded without Wesley Matthews, Kyle Kuzma, Lebron James, Anthony Davis, and Marc Gasol. Caruso should get a healthy amount of playing time and could offer decent value with all of these injuries.

Mason Plumlee (concussion) available to play Saturday

Mason Plumlee is available to play Saturday against the Portland Trail Blazers after clearing the concussion protocol. In his absence Isaiah Stewart and the returning Jahlil Okafor played all of the center minutes with Stewart playing the hefty majority (32 minutes). Plumlee will likely assume his starting role and bump Okafor out of the rotation with Stewart handling the backup center minutes. With Jusuf Nurkic out (injury management) for the Trail Blazers and Enes Kanter being a below average defender this could be a favorable matchup for Plumlee.

Wesley Matthews ruled out Saturday

Wesley Matthews has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets. The already injury ravaged Lakers lose one more player to go along with Lebron, Davis, Kuzma, and Gasol. This means Talen Horton-Tucker will likely draw the start and be a tremendous value play. Alex Caruso, Caldwell-Pope, Ben McLemore, and Alfonzo McKinnie should also see extended run. Dennis Schroder and Andre Drummond will likely dominate the offense.

Lu Dort and Darius Bazley will start and won't have a minutes limit Saturday

Lu Dort and Darius Bazley will start and won’t have a minutes limit Saturday against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Thunder who have been shorthanded the last few games welcome back two starters in Dort and Bazley who will not have a minutes limit on Saturday. This will displace Svi Mykhailiuk and Kenrich Williams from the starting lineup and will cut into their minutes as well. Theo Maledon will likely see his usage and FPPM drop as he was the main benefactor of Dort and Bazley’s extended absence. With the Thunder starting to get healthy the value that was present before strictly due to extra playing time is starting to disappear.

Jordan Clarkson (ankle) ruled out Saturday, Juwan Morgan available

Jordan Clarkson will remain out Saturday as the Jazz take on the Sacramento Kings due to an ankle injury. If Thursday was any indication, with Clarkson out we should expect to see a slight minutes bump for Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles, Mike Conley, and Bojan Bogdanovich with Miye Oni remaining in the rotation to soak up the rest of Clarkson’s minutes. The minutes bump should make these players more intriguing but we don’t see any huge FPPM bumps with Clarkson off the court when looking at CourtIQ. Juwan Morgan is available to play Saturday night against the Sacramento Kings after dealing with left calf tightness. It is unlikely that Morgan will see the floor in any meaningful capacity tonight barring injuries or a blowout. He is not DFS relevant at this time.

Kyle Kuzma (calf) and Marc Gasol (hamstring) ruled out Saturday

yle Kuzma will miss his second straight game and will not suit up tonight against the Brooklyn Nets due to a calf strain. It is possible that we see Wesley Matthews remain in the starting lineup tonight as he started Thursday against the Miami Heat. Talen Horton-Tucker who missed last game due to a suspension is a candidate to see an increased workload while Kuzma is gone as well as Markieff Morris and the newly acquired Ben McLemore. Using CourtIQ we see that the main beneficiaries when Kuzma, Lebron, and Davis are off the floor are Dennis Schroder (.16 FPPM increase), Caldwell-Pope (.28 FPPM increase), and THT (.21 FPPM increase). Along with these three Andre Drummond should see a nice bump with more potential scoring opportunities. Marc Gasol is also out tonight but with Drummond and Harrell healthy he was not expected to play much, any minutes that Gasol would have seen will be absorbed by these two.

Flynn will remain in the starting lineup and DeAndre Bembry will join the starting lineup while Lowry, VanVleet, and Siakam are out Saturday

Rodney Hood available on limited minutes Saturday

With the Raptors down to just ten available players Hood will be needed to soak up some wing minutes. The Raptors are shorthanded so there is potential value to be had with players like Malachi Flynn, DeAndre Bembry, and Stanley Johnson while OG Anunoby, Gary Trent Jr., and Chris Boucher should dominate the usage and production.
