Bojan Bogdanovic, Wesley Johnson, Domantas Sabonis, Myles Turner, and Thaddeus Young have been ruled out
With the Pacers resting just about everyone (but not Darren Collison or Tyreke Evans???), it should make for plenty of usage and minutes for Cory Joseph, Doug McDermott, and Aaron Holiday, while TJ Leaf may also warrant some consideration. There will be plenty of teams resting to create value, so this is not a unique scenario, but it is one of the more conclusive sets of resting players to have so early in the day, so plan accordingly.

Marvin Williams and Cody Zeller have been ruled out
Lately it’s been the Frank Kaminsky show, and he has been much more efficient as of late. He only got 23 minutes in last night’s blow out against Cleveland, but there would be no reason to limit his run tonight and especially if Nikola Vucevic ends up sitting, the minutes would come against Khem Birch and whoever is backing up Khem Birch, which is to say that Kaminsky should have no trouble maintaining his recent run of efficiency.

DFS darling Jakarr Sampson will need a new contract if he is going to get on the court tonight, as his current contract has expired. The Bulls are a mess of course but Sampson got 33 minutes yesterday so those minutes would have to go somewhere if the Bulls opt for being thrifty instead of giving the people what they want. This is certainly a situation to watch.

With Harris and Simmons out, and Embiid, Redick, and Bolden already being thought of us unlikely to play, I have no idea why Jimmy Butler WOULD play significant minutes, but if he does, he’s going to get a ton of usage. If Butler eventually gets ruled out too, it will be the 76ers back up show, with plenty of Zhaire Smith, Shake Milton, TJ McConnell, Boban Marjanovic, Jonathan Simmons and Greg Monroe. Happy last day of the season, folks.

With the Magic locked into a playoff spot, we could see them err on the side of caution and rest their star big man, resulting in some extended run for Khem Birch and likely also more usage for the remaining Magic starters, given how large of a role Vucevic plays in their offense. This is also a Bismack Biyombo revenge game, although he’s seeing paltry minutes at the moment and the Hornets are still in the hunt for the playoffs, so I doubt he would get too much additional run or suddenly become the focus of the Hornets Kemba-centric attack just because of the lack of an interior defender and the revenge narrative.

Even sitting two all-stars won’t make this match up competitive, so we can still expect limited minutes from the remaining Warriors. I would still look for Kevon Looney and Quin Cook to clean up in garbage time, and potentially DeMarcus Cousins for how much damage he can do in limited minutes with no one on the Pelicans capable of stopping him.

No surprise here, you can continue to target Frank Kamisnky, although his price has come up some.

Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka are now sitting, which opens things up for Fred Van Vleet, Kawhi Leonard, and Pascal Siakam, with Danny Green and maybe Norman Powell getting some slight benefit as well. This is a pretty large reversal of course as the Raptors were anticipated to have all of their regulars playing, but upon learning there would be no Karl-Anthony Towns, it sounds like they were able to take their foot off the gas a bit.

We expected this, but can now look to Tyus Jones, Gorgui Dieng, and Dario Saric, but perhaps it would make more sense to just not look at any Timberwolves. Those would be the ones to focus one though, if you must.

Zhaire Smith joins the Sixers starting lineup, and it would be a gamble to roster him with all of the other value available on the slate, but this is certainly an interesting move since this is the first start of his career. Coach Brown indicated he may see minutes in the playoffs, so perhaps this is an audition to see if he is ready to compete on the largest stage.

Christian Wood, Jahlil Okafor, and Cheick Diallo will be getting all the big man run for New Orleans, who have no business matching up with a full strength Warriors squad. This game should be well in hand in the 2nd quarter, and should make for plenty of bench run on both sides. Ian Clark is in somewhat of a revenge game, and he should be considered along with Quinn Cook and Kevon Looney from the Warriors side.

KAT is out tonight, so expect Dario Saric and Gorgui Dieng to pick up the slack, with Saric likely to get more minutes but Dieng to be the more efficient point per minute producer. Bayless doesn’t have a ton of impact but would solidify Tyus Jones role, and Andrew Wiggisn would have to step up as well to keep the game anywhere close, despite a tough matchup with Kawhi Leonard.

Blake Griffin will fight through injuries that slowed him in Sunday’s matchup, so this takes Andre Drummond out of “lock and load” consideration, while not putting Griffin squarely in must play territory either. The Pistons have plenty of motivation and are not going to face the strongest of front court tests against a depleted Grizzlies squad, but it’s hard to know which of the 2 will stand out or if they will even be needed to play a full complement of minutes against a shorthanded Grizzlies squad.

In what is shaping up to not be very good basketball, Jabari Parker will be out tonight for the Wizards and Bradley Beal will be on a minute restriction against the Celtics backups. The Wizards rotations might be difficult to predict as coach Brooks alluded to playing a number of different guys. This seems like a situation that be avoided.

McCollum’s status is important to keep an eye on, as he was efficient in the 25 minutes given to him on Sunday, and would also take on some of the load carried by Damian Lillard and Enes Kanter in his absence. I’m not sure I would go so far as to roster McCollum as the increase from 25 to say, 28 minutes isn’t earth shattering, but him being eased into the Blazers rotation will have a usage effect on his otherwise high usage teammates.
