Firing Up the Phoenix Value, Part 2
Most of tonight’s games are completely meaningless, so we are essentially on a search for the most reliable minutes we can find. That should come with the tanking Suns, who have thinned down to about an eight man rotation of young players at this point in the season. Both Danuel House and Shaq Harrison are playing heavy minutes, with Tyler Ulis leading the guard spots. House remains ridiculously cheap on FanDuel, Harrison remains ridiculously cheap on DraftKings, while Ulis is the highest upside play of the bunch. I will have exposure to all three on all sites tonight, but House is nearly a lock on FD, while Harrison is nearly a lock on DK.

Ian Clark (ankle sprain) unlikely to play Monday
Clark still technically remains questionable for Monday’s matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers, but head coach Alvin Gentry confirmed with reporters during his pregame media availability that he doubts Clark will be able to play this evening. Gentry shortened his rotation to just eight players in the New Orleans Pelicans previous game with Clark sidelined, but the recently-resigned Jordan Crawford is still available off the bench to absorb some of the guard and wing minutes should Gentry so choose to utilize him. That said, Jrue Holiday, Anthony Davis, and Nikola Mirotic all logged 40 minutes or more in Saturday’s win and should be in line to continue seeing a heavy minute share with the Pelicans in a battle to secure their playoff positioning, regardless of Gentry’s possible decision to extend the rotation.
As reported by: the New Orleans Pelicans via TwitterGary Harris (knee) will play 14-20 minutes off the bench Monday
Harris is set to make his return from an 11-game absence due to a strained right knee and, according to head coach Mike Malone, will come off the bench and play 14-20 minutes in Monday’s matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers, which will enable Will Barton to continue starting at the shooting guard spot and he logged at least 35 minutes in six of the last eight games when Harris was sidelined. While Barton may see a slight dip in that consistent playing time, the Denver Nuggets are still in a must-win situation battling for the eighth seed in the Western Conference, so the starters are likely to continue seeing heavy minutes. Instead, Torrey Craig is the likely rotation casualty with Harris available and should see his minute share off the bench significantly impacted, if not, dissolved altogether.
As reported by: T.J. McBride via TwitterGiannis Antetokounmpo ruled out Monday, Malcolm Brogdon will play 15-20 minutes
Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss his second straight game Monday against the Magic with an ankle injury. With Antetokounmpo off the court, Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe get a nice bump up in usage, as well as Jabari Parker to some extent. Malcolm Brogdon will return after a long absence and play between 15-20 minutes.
As reported by: John Denton via TwitterRodney Hood ruled out Monday, Jose Calderon and George Hill available to play Monday
The Cavs will be without Rodney Hood Monday versus the Knicks with an Achilles injury. However, the Cavs will get back Jose Calderon and George Hill, who both missed the last couple games with injuries. J.R. Smith, Kyle Korver, and Jordan Clarkson will help fill Hood’s void.
As reported by: Nicholas Kovach twitter Other tagged players: Rodney HoodJoe Harris ruled out Monday
Joe Harris will miss Monday’s game versus the Bulls with an ankle injury. With Caris LeVert already out, Nik Stauskas should pick up a lot of minutes tonight. Allen Crabbe and Spencer Dinwiddie will also see a couple more minutes. Milton Doyle may also enter the rotation.
As reported by: Brian Lewis via TwitterSerge Ibaka, Fred VanVleet, Lucas Nogueira all ruled out Monday
The Raptors have the 1st seed in East locked up, so like yesterday they will rest players tonight against the Pistons. Serge Ibaka, Fred VanVleet, and Lucas Nogueira will all rest of Monday. Delon Wright and Pascal Siakam receive the biggest bumps with this news.
As reported by: Blake Murphy via twitterAndre Drummond ruled out Monday
The Pistons will be without Andre Drummond Monday night against Toronto. He is dealing with a sore Achillies. Detroit is already missing Blake Griffin and Reggie Bullock. Look for a combination of Eric Moreland, Henry Ellenson, and Anthony Tolliver to pick up the load for Drummond.
As reported by: Rob Beard via TwitterTim Hardaway Jr. officially ruled out Monday
Tim Hardaway Jr. will officially missed tonight’s game against Cleveland. Damyean Dotson and Courtney Lee will both see an uptick in minutes without Hardaway Jr. Dotson is the preferred option.
As reported by: New York Knicks via twitterGary Harris likely to play Monday
Garry Harris is expected to play tonight against Portland. Harris isn’t a DFS option for tonight, because his minutes are unknown with this being his 1st game back from injury. Harris returning hurts the value of Will Barton a little.
As reported by: Woj via TwitterCaris LeVert ruled out Monday, Joe Harris questionable
Caris LeVert is out tonight against the Bulls as expected. He’s dealing with a foot injury. Joe Harris is also questionable tonight for the Nets with an ankle injury. Spencer Dinwiddie benefits most with LeVert off the court.
As reported by: Alex Labidou via twitterFrank Mason ruled out Monday
Frank Mason will miss tonight’s game against the Spurs with a heel injury. Mason hasn’t been seeing a ton of minutes lately. De’Aaron Fox should play a couple extra minutes tonight.
As reported by: Sean Cunningham via TwitterMarc Gasol, Andrew Harrison, JaMychal Green all ruled out Monday
Memphis will rest Marc Gasol on Monday against Minnesota. Andrew Harrison and JaMyhal Green were expected to be out, and will most likely be out for the rest of the season. With Gasol being out and all the other injuries to the Grizzlies, Ivan Rabb and Deyontna Davis will play all the minutes they can handle tonight. Fire up both players in your lineups.
As reported by: Memphis Grizzles via TwitterSkal Labissiere and Garrett Temple ruled out Monday, Frank Mason questionable
The Kings will be without Skal Labissiere for the third straight game Monday against the Spurs. With Labissiere out, JaKarr Sampson becomes a nice value play. Last game, he played 24 minutes and finished with 24 FDP points. Garrett Temple being out really doesn’t have any fantasy impact. Frank Mason is questionable tonight for the Kings with a heel injury.
