Wizards starters will play limited minutes tonight per Head Coach Scott Brooks
Washington Head Coach Scott Brooks stated he would be giving his starters limited minutes tonight against Detroit as the team prepares for the playoffs. This means players like Bradley Beal, Markieff Morris, and Marcin Gortat (as well as the previously reported on John Wall and Otto Porter) can all be faded in DFS contests tonight. The Washington bench could be a source of great value tonight with the likes of Bojan Bogdanovich, Kelly Oubre, Jason Smith, and Brandon Jennings all stand to benefit.

John Wall a game-time decision for Wizards tonight
Wall is probably an easy fade tonight with this designation and the fact that Brooks stated he will be playing the starters limited minutes. Brandon Jennings will be a viable value option for those playing tonight’s DFS slate.

Porter is dealing with a back injury and will be a game-time decision for Washington tonight as they face Detroit. With starters being limited and the injury concern, he’s a player to avoid. Kelly Oubre benefits the most with him out and is a viable value option with the Wizards giving their starters limited minutes.

Hood has played limited minutes recently due to the knee issue. Favors played around 15 minutes for the past two contests following a 14-game absence. During their last game, Hayward suffered a quad contusion. He remained in the game, but only played for 30 minutes. Due to the injury, he’s questionable, but it seems like he’ll give it a go with the fourth seed in the west on the line for the Jazz. Hill missed the past six games and he seems closer to doubtful.

David Nwaba available to play tonight; will have a minutes restriction
Nwaba has had an insane schedule recently, splitting time between the D-League playoffs and the NBA. He played 40 minutes in the D-League Thursday and they had another game Saturday, so he rested for the Lakers on Friday. Nwaba played 40 minutes again in the D-League last night, but instead of resting him tonight, they’re going to give him some limited time on the court. That exact number wasn’t announced, but it doesn’t seem like he should have too big of an effect on fantasy. He won’t be a viable option himself under the restriction.
As reported by: Mark Medina Beno Udrih (ankle) expected to miss final two games
Udrih sprained his ankle Sunday and will likely miss the rest of the season as a result. Udrih had been getting around 20 minutes a night, which means Ish Smith will pick up some more time on the court. Coach Stan Van Gundy reiterated that Reggie Jackson will not play despite the injury to Udrih. Instead, he said he’ll roll with, “Stanley [Johnson] and Darrun [Hillard] or play Ish bigger minutes.” The Pistons play the Wizards tomorrow.

Ariza is getting a rest day so Williams will join James Harden, Clint Capela, Patrick Beverley, and Ryan Anderson in the starting five.

They’ll join Buddy Hield, Skal Labissiere, and Willie Cauley-Stein in the starting five as Kostas Koufos, Tyreke Evans, Arron Afflao, and Darren Collison rest.

With Barnes sitting this one out for rest Finney-Smith will join the starting five. He’s underwhelmed in most of his previous starts. Even without Barnes, Barea, and Curry on the floor, Finney-Smith is averaging 0.48 FD ppm and 0.49 DK ppm and has a low usage rate of 15.8%.

Trevor Ariza and Eric Gordon have been ruled out for rest purposes and Nene is out due to an injury to his fingers. Ryan Anderson is also expected to be limited. That means Williams will have his hands full in tonight, making him a great value play on the late slate.

Acy has been battling an ankle injury for a couple of weeks now, he’ll sit out tomorrow’s game against the Celtics. Kilpatrick has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury. He’s questionable for Monday. Both Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert have played a few extra minutes without Kilpatrick, and they’ve turned in solid fantasy days for their salaries in both contests. They each had a team-high 19 points against the Bulls on Saturday.

Detroit’s season is over so they’re working a number of different guys into their rotation. That means there will be fewer minutes for starters the rest of the way, and they’ll take turns resting. Tonight Caldwell-Pope and Marcus Morris are expected to rest. Boban Marjanovic jumps out as one of the best value plays on FanDuel tonight, he scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in 28 minutes on Friday, but his price hardly moved on the site. Ish Smith may be the only normal starter to continue to get 30 minutes down the stretch; he’s been playing consistently well recently. Jon Leuer will start ahead of Henry Ellenson, who started in their last game. Ellenson was impressive in the game, earning a double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds) but he will likely stick to 24 minutes or less tonight, limiting his upside. He’s a much riskier value option than Boban.

Wilson Chandler confirmed as starter for Kenneth Faried (back) tonight
Faried will not play in today’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder after previously being listed as questionable on the Nuggets’ injury report with a lower back issue. Nuggets head coach Mike Malone has officially named Wilson Chandler as his replacement in the starting lineup at power forward. Even in a starting role, Faried has been playing limited minutes of late, meaning the playing time of Chandler and Mason Plumlee is unlikely to change too much with his absence. With Barton available to play off the bench, he should be expected to cut into the minutes of Gary Harris and Danilo Gallinari to some extent. This makes Jamal Murray the top player to target from Denver, as he is coming off of a massive performance in 38 minutes without Jameer Nelson available in Friday’s contest.

Ariza and Gordon will be rested and won’t play in tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings due to a planned recovery day despite never appearing on the Rocket’s injury report at any point throughout the day. The Rockets have yet to announce Ariza’s replacement in the starting lineup but Troy Williams is the likeliest candidate to receive the starting nod at small forward. Williams will be the obvious beneficiary of extra playing time with Sam Dekker still sidelined with a fractured left hand and will be a viable punt option on Sunday’s main slate. With Nene also unavailable, Montrezl Harrell could end up flying under the radar in tournaments, but he has shown the ability to massively outproduce his salary-based expectations when given the opportunity this season.
