Andre Roberson (sore left knee) will play today
Roberson will play and be expected to start in today’s game against the Denver Nuggets after previously being listed as questionable on the Thunder’s injury report with left knee soreness that had forced him to miss one game. His presumed return to the starting lineup will send Doug McDermott back to the bench to resume his normal reserve role. The presence of Roberson in the rotation obviously removes McDermott from daily fantasy consideration entirely, however, Roberson could be worth a look in tournaments if looking to save some salary at a typically shallow small forward position on the early slate.

Kenneth Faried (back) ruled out today; Will Barton (foot) and Emmanuel Mudiay (ankle) will play
Faried will not play in today’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder after previously being listed as questionable on the Nuggets’ injury report with a lower back issue. Nuggets head coach Mike Malone failed to name his replacement in the starting lineup, but Wilson Chandler is the likeliest candidate to receive the starting nod in his place. Even in a starting role, Faried has been playing limited minutes of late, meaning the playing time of Chandler and Mason Plumlee is unlikely to change too much with his absence. With Barton available to play off the bench, he should be expected to cut into the minutes of Gary Harris and Danilo Gallinari to some extent. This makes Jamal Murray the top player to target from Denver, as he is coming off of a massive performance in 38 minutes without Jameer Nelson available in Friday’s contest.

Millsap will play and start in today’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers after previously being listed as probable on the Hawks’ injury report with left knee synovitis that had forced him to be sat down for rest purposes in Friday’s win over this same Cavaliers squad. His return to the starting lineup will send Ersan Ilyasova back to the bench to resume his normal reserve role. With Dennis Schroder and Kent Bazemore both cleared to play, the Hawks are nearly back to full strength, though Taurean Prince will still remain with the starting unit at small forward. Millsap put up a massive performance in just 29 minutes of action on Thursday off the bench, so he will certainly be in play for all formats on the early slate as he seems to be close to fully healthy and should see close to his normal allotment of playing time.

Will Barton (foot) and Emmanuel Mudiay (ankle) remain questionable while Jameer Nelson (calf) is out for Denver’s game against Oklahoma City. Faried has been dealing with these issues for a while now and he’s not a great target if he suits up. If Barton and Mudiay are out, it would open up even more minutes for Jamal Murray and some extra time for Wilson Chandler. Murray would play all he can handle in that situation. Denver has not been officially eliminated from the playoffs, so they’re in must-win mode. Murray scored 30 points Friday, and he’s an exciting tournament option again tonight. He’s $800 less on FanDuel than DraftKings.

UPDATE: Paul Millsap WILL play, may come off bench
Millsap has been dealing with a knee injury that kept him limited in his first two games after his return and out entirely for the third. He posted a big 26-point, 12-rebound game in 30 minutes off the bench against Boston. Millsap doesn’t swing Dwight Howard’s usage or per-minute production, but Howard tends to play fewer minutes when Millsap is active. Ersan Ilyasova loses his fantasy appeal with Millsap back.

This is a report from Joe Vardon, an NBA reporter for Cleveland.com. Thompson is expected to miss his third straight game, and Channing Frye will presumably start in his place. Fry has produced solid value in place of Thompson the past couple of games, including a matchup with the Hawks, but he’ll have a tougher matchup this time around with Dwight Howard and Paull Millsap back.

Sacramento is continuing their routine of resting a handful of players each night. Sunday it will be Afflalo, Collison, Koufos, and Evans. Tolliver is expected to play. Buddy Hield, Willie Cauley-Stein, and Skal Labissiere will lead the way for the Kings. Those three guys have been getting the most minutes recently and they’re all in play tonight against Houston, who ranke in the bottom five in DvP against each of their positions. Labissiere is the cheapest option, while Cauley-Stein has the biggest upside, and Hield gets the highest usage of the three.

Both players missed last game and were questionable heading into Sunday and they’ve officially been ruled out for tonight’s game against the Toronto Raptors. New York chose to start Justin Holiday and Maurice N’Dour. Both would be solid value options, with N’Dour being the more exciting of the two. In both of his starts this season he’s scored more than 30 FD points. This will make five straight games Hill has missed with a groin injury. Dante Exum will start once more. He’s received around 25 minutes a night during this stretch as a starter, he’s not a great fantasy option. Joe Ingles will start again at shooting guard, Boris Diaw will start at power forward, and Rodney Hood and Derrick Favors will come off the bench. Ingles has been getting around 30 minutes the past five games, and he’s a decent value play because of it. Hood has been inconsistent and his time on the floor has fallen to around 20 minutes, possibly due to persisting issues with his knee.

Livingston will join the starting five tonight, he’s a potential value play, but he’s not terribly exciting. Livingston had two other starts this season and he didn’t reach 28 minutes in either one. He also barely produced any fantasy statistics.

Cousins (Achilles) and Davis (rest) were ruled earlier today as New Orleans will take it easy on their stars the rest of the way. Ajinca is a very appealing value option tonight as he should get plenty of time on the court and he’s produced 0.87 DK ppm this season. New Orleans is trying to develop some of their young guys, so look for Check Diallo as well. He was excellent in the D-League all year and he’s been productive on a per-minute basis in the limited time he’s had in the NBA with the Pelicans. Jordan Crawford is probably the safer option among the value plays, he should have plenty of scoring opportunities tonight.

Crabbe was downgraded to doubtful earlier today due to soreness in his left foot. He’s averaged 28.5 minutes this season and it will be the first game he’s missed. Moe Harkless and Evan Turner will both get increased workloads tonight. More time for Turner is worse for C.J. McCollum; when those two are on the floor with Damian Lillard and without Nurkic and Crabbe, McCollum’s usage tanks 6.0% to 17.9% and he loses 0.13 FD ppm off his normal production rate. Turner is relatively consistent and the added minutes make him a nice value target.
