Avery Bradley (illness) will play tonight
Bradley will play in tonight’s game against the Miami Heat after previously being listed as questionable on the Celtics’ game notes with an illness that had forced him to miss one game. His return to the starting lineup will send Jaylen Brown back to the bench to resume his reserve role. There hasn’t been any kind of minute restriction announced for Bradley in Sunday’s contest, so it’s safe to assume he will be a full-go in his return from an illness. If that is the case, Bradley looks to be a viable tournament option after carrying an injury designation throughout the weekend following his absence from Friday’s contest.

Austin Rivers confirmed as starter for J.J. Redick (ankle) today
Redick will not play in today’s game against the Sacramento Kings due to a sprained right ankle despite never appearing in the Clippers’ injury report at any point throughout the weekend. In his absence, Austin Rivers will receive the starting nod at the shooting guard spot, while Jamal Crawford should be expected to see some additional minutes off the bench as well. With Redick off the court since the All-Star break, Rivers (24.4%) and Chris Paul (29.5%) have seen at least a +2.2% usage rate differential, putting them both firmly in consideration for tournaments. If the Kings are able to keep this game within striking distance, Paul and Rivers become particularly intriguing options, as the Kings rank 19th and 26th in DvP against opposing point guards and shooting guards respectively.

Anderson will not play in today’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a sprained right ankle he sustained in Friday’s win over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Rockets have just released further details in regards to the injury, and Anderson is expected to miss at least the next five games. Eric Gordon will be inserted into the Rockets starting lineup in his place, which will slide Trevor Ariza down to starting power forward spot. Not only is Gordon in line for some extra minutes (played 40 minutes in his previous start), but he also owns a +1.8% usage differential (20.5%) with Anderson off the court since the All-Star break. While that usage bump isn’t huge, it’s still noteworthy and combined with the expected minute increase, Gordon is a fantastic value option on Sunday’s slate.

Green will not travel with the team to Toronto and has officially been ruled out in advance of tomorrow’s game against the Toronto Raptors due to back spasms that have now forced him to miss three consecutive games. Mario Hezonja should be expected to continue seeing a majority of the backup power forward minutes behind Aaron Gordon, as he has seen at least 23 minutes of playing time in each of the last two games with Green sidelined. Magic head coach Frank Vogel has recently gone on record saying that Hezonja’s natural role in today’s NBA could be a small-ball power forward and wants to evaluate him in that role as the season winds down. However, given Hezonja’s volatile nature in daily fantasy, he is best reserved as a flier in tournaments until further notice while Green remains out.

Barbosa was a late scratch and will not play in today’s game against the Charlotte Hornets due to a left hamstring issue despite never appearing on the Suns’ injury report at any point throughout the weekend. Additionally, Ronnie Price will remain out for his fourth consecutive game with a left leg contusion, paving the way for Tyler Ulis and Devin Booker to continue seeing massive minute workloads. This leaves the Suns with just Ulis, Booker, and Jarell Eddie available to soak up 96 minutes of playing time in the backcourt, which means Ulis and Booker are absolute locks to see more than 40 minutes of playing time in Sunday’s contest. They both are obviously viable in every daily fantasy format.

Afflalo and Koufos will both be rested and won’t play in today’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers as part of a planned recovery day despite never being listed on the Kings’ injury report at any point throughout the weekend. In their absences, Garrett Temple and Skal Labissiere will likely be inserted into the starting lineup at small forward and power forward respectively, which would slide Willie Cauley-Stein over to center. The minutes for Kings players outside of Willie Cauley-Stein and to some extent Buddy Hield have been all over the place since the All-Star break, so it’s difficult to really target anyone outside of them on this Sacramento roster. However, assuming he gets the start, Labissiere is worth a look in tournaments, as he has consistently flashed upside for his price tag when given the opportunity.

Hollis-Jefferson will play and start in today’s game against the Atlanta Hawks after briefly being reported as a game-time decision due to an illness. There has yet to be any announcement of a minute restriction for Hollis-Jefferson or that he’ll be limited in any way. Still, Hollis-Jefferson is better reserved for tournaments given the uncertainty surrounding his illness and the fact that K.J. McDaniels has worked his way into the rotation, which has caused Hollis-Jefferson’s playing time to severely fluctuate in recent games.

Sefolosha was a late scratch and will not play in today’s game against the Brooklyn Nets due to a strained right groin despite never appearing on the Hawks injury report at any point throughout the weekend. Taurean Prince will receive the starting nod at small forward alongside Tim Hardaway Jr. and Ersan Ilyasova, who are starting for the injured Paul Millsap and Kent Bazemore respectively. Ilyasova hasn’t seen a huge uptick in playing time as a starter, but Hardaway Jr. has averaged just over 36 minutes per contest and is set up to be an elite option on the early slate. With Millsap and Bazemore off the court since the All-Star break, Dennis Schroder has led the Hawks with a +4.5% usage rate differential (35.7%) and is coming off a huge performance against the Bucks on Friday, which is typically a difficult matchup for point guards. The matchup against Brooklyn is essentially as good as it gets, and Schroder will join Hardaway Jr. as an elite option on Sunday’s slate.

Whiteside will play and start in tonight’s game against the Boston Celtics, as expected, after tweaking his left ankle in Thursday’s contest. Following the game, he downplayed the injury and told reporters that he plans to play Sunday. This news was expected and Whiteside should be utilized as normal considering he is expected to be a full-go and the ankle is apparently a non-issue.

Warren is reportedly expected to play in today’s game against the Charlotte Hornets after previously being listed as questionable in the Suns’ game notes with a left foot contusion that had forced him to miss two consecutive games. His presumed return to the starting lineup would send Derrick Jones Jr. back to the bench to resume a reserve role. There has yet to be any mention of a minute restriction should Warren give it a go this afternoon, but he should be expected to see his normal allotment of minutes otherwise, making him an intriguing tournament target on the early slate. Additionally, Ronnie Price will remain out for his fourth consecutive game with a left leg contusion, paving the way for Tyler Ulis and Devin Booker to continue seeing massive minute workloads.

Okafor will not play in tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers due to a sore right knee that has now forced him to miss three of the last four games. His absence from the lineup will allow Richaun Holmes to draw the start at center once again. Holmes has consistently been seeing minutes in the high-20s to low-30s in Okafor’s absence and has averaged just over a fantasy point per minute, which places him as a viable option in all formats this evening. Shawn Long did play a season-high 19 minutes and started the second half ahead of Holmes, so that is certainly something to keep an eye on. With Okafor off the court since the All-Star break, both Robert Covington and T.J. McConnell own at least a +1.9% usage rate differential, making them interesting contrarian tournament options.

Cousins has officially been listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Denver Nuggets due to a sprained right ankle he apparently suffered in Friday’s loss the Houston Rockets. The potential absence of Cousins from the lineup would obviously be a tremendous bump to the projected fantasy value of Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday since a large amount of usage and fantasy production would need to be diverted elsewhere. In fact, Davis (38.8%), Holiday (26.8%), and Tim Frazier (17.3%) all own at least a +3.1% usage rate increase with Cousins off the court since the All-Star break. Clearly, Davis and Holiday would be elite options in all formats should Cousins be unable to suit up for Sunday’s contest against Denver.

Gasol has officially been listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Golden State Warriors due to a strained left foot. Should Gasol be unable to suit for Sunday’s contest, Brandan Wright will likely receive the starting nod at center in his place. Surprisingly, Mike Conley hasn’t seen a bump in usage rate of fantasy production with Gasol off the court this season, but Zach Randolph (33.5%), Vince Carter (18.7%), and Troy Daniels (28.4%) all own at least +2.7% usage rate differential in the aforementioned scenario. Based solely on expected playing time, Randolph and Carter would be the preferred options of the trio, while Conley could be worth a look in tournaments, as he would be the primary reason Memphis is able to keep this matchup against Golden State within striking distance should Gasol be ruled out.
