Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (ankle) confirmed as playing tonight
Kidd-Gilchrist will play in tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic after previously being listed as probable on the Hornets’ injury report with a strained right ankle. He is expected to be a full-go in tonight’s contest despite the probable designation and should remain a staple in the Charlotte starting lineup barring any unforeseen late-breaking news. Kidd-Gilchrist has seen his playing time take a serious hit with the emergence of Marvin Williams and the Hornets roster being fully healthy, but he does draw a relatively exploitable matchup with a Magic squad that ranks in the bottom-third of the league against opposing small forwards (21st in DvP). However, with that said, Kidd-Gilchrist still remains nothing more than a secondary tournament option given his low minute floor compared to other small forwards in his price range.

Robin Lopez and Serge Ibaka suspended for one game (Lopez won't play tonight)
Robin Lopez and Serge Ibaka have both been suspended since both players threw a punch in last night’s game. Lopez will be serving his suspension tonight against the Pistons and Ibaka will be serving it tomorrow against the Heat. Cristiano Felicio is being listed as questionable in the team’s game notes but we’ve seen those to be unreliable in the past. We’ll have to wait for another official update from the team before moving forward. Patrick Patterson or P.J. Tucker will look to fill Ibaka’s role tomorrow.

Whiteside received 13 stitches due to a hand injury he suffered last night. The team is currently listing him as probable and he mentioned that he wanted to play against the Raptors. If Whiteside ends up missing Thursday’s game, Willie Reed would start and instantly become an elite value play. Stay tuned for more updates after the Heat go through their morning shootaround.

Kyle Korver was able to participate in shootaround today but is still being listed as questionable. The Cavs mentioned that if Korver is indeed active, J.R. Smith will move into the starting lineup. With Korver trending in the right direction, we should expect Smith to start against his former team. Iman Shumpert will go back to the bench and is not a viable DFS option for this slate. He has some short slate appeal due to the lowered ownership but likely carries more risk than reward. Korver is also a risky option and should be avoided unless someone is rested.

Allen did not play on Tuesday and local media believes he’ll be listed as questionable for the Grizzlies game on Thursday. If he can’t go Wayne Selden, Andrew Harrison, and Troy Daniels all pick up some minutes but none will be viable DFS options.

Nets hopeful Jeremy Lin will play on Thursday
Lin will be a game-time decision it looks like for Brooklyn’s game on Thursday. He’d be on a minutes limitation even if he returned but his presence will be a hit to the value of Archie Goodwin and Spencer Dinwiddie.

Lee missed San Antonio’s last game but is expected to return for the team on Thursday. It’ll be a slight hit to the playing time of LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol.

Gallo will miss his fourth straight game for the Nuggets but it looks as if Wilson Chandler will be able to play, after missing the last four games, giving the team a significant boost. Chandler will be a viable DFS option against Cleveland in a game that has the highest total of the night by more than 10 points. Mason Plumlee, Will Barton, and Kenneth Faried all take a slight hit with Chandler back in action.

The Heat center’s status for their game on Thursday is uncertain after he received 13 stitches on his right hand. The team will know tomorrow and we’ll provide an update once we hear it. Willie Reed and James Johnson would benefit the most if Whiteside can’t go.

Okafor missed Monday’s game after suffering a knee injury on Sunday leading Richaun Holmes to put up a huge 24 point, 14 rebound outing. He is considered questionable for tonight and will be evaluated pre-fame to determine if he plays or not. If he can’t go, Holmes will once again be a viable option facing the Thunder who are 16th in center DvP.

There is still a chance Arthur sits tonight as earlier this week there were suggestions that Arthur would sit out the remainder of the season. However, they now are stating he might play tonight. With Mason Plumlee firmly entrenched in the rotation, however, Arthur’s impact will be minimal.

Green is dealing with back spasms and will miss his third game of the season tonight for the Magic. His playing time has been minimal of late (under 20 minutes a game this month) but Mario Hezonja should still benefit from this news and is a viable value option.

Young is officially available to play in tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers after previously being considered as questionable with an illness that had forced him to miss one game. Lakers head coach Luke Walton stated that he was still unsure whether or not Young would actually see minutes in his return, despite being active and available, as he may opt to give extra playing time to the younger players on the roster. The Lakers are officially in full tanking mode, so Walton has been keen to evaluate different lineup combinations and rotations in recent weeks. This means that Young will likely see his role diminished sooner rather than later, as hinted by Walton in his pregame presser, so expect David Nwaba and Tyler Ennis to handle a majority of the reserve backcourt minutes behind D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson.

David Lee (sore foot) ruled out tonight
Lee will not play in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a sore foot despite never appearing on the Spurs’ injury report at any point during the day. His absence from the rotation will open up some extra playing time for Davis Bertans and possibly even Dewayne Dedmon if Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich decides to go big more often in order to better matchup with Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng on the defensive end of the floor. This seems to be San Antonio just taking the cautious approach with Lee’s injury, and he fully expects to play in Thursday’s upcoming contest. In addition to Bertans, expect LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol to see a slight uptick in minutes with Lee sidelined as well.

Selden will be inserted into the Grizzlies starting lineup for tonight’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans in place of Tony Allen, who was already ruled out in advance of tonight’s contest with a left knee injury. Selden will get his first start in a Grizzlies uniform against the team that recently failed to sign him to a second 10-day contract once his original contract expired, so he does have a bit of a revenge narrative working in his favor. However, in all seriousness, Selden only saw 1 minute of action in his Memphis debut, so his expected workload as a starter remains entirely unknown. He’ll likely split minutes on the wing with James Ennis, Andrew Harrison, and Troy Daniels, which makes him nothing more than shot-in-the-dark tournament play on the late slate.
