Aaron Gordon (quad) confirmed in the starting lineup for tonight
Gordon will play and start in tonight’s game against the New York Knicks after previously being listed as questionable on the Magic’s injury report with a right quad contusion. He will slot in at his now normal power forward spot alongside Terrence Ross and Nikola Vucevic in the frontcourt. The Knicks rank 27th in DvP against opposing power forwards, making Gordon an interesting, high-upside tournament option and a possible pivot away from the high projected ownership of his teammate, Terrence Ross. He should absorb some reduced ownership at the small forward spot considering he carried a questionable designation throughout most of the day.

Danuel House waived by Washington to create a roster spot for Brandon Jennings
Rookie Danuel House has been waived to sign Brandon Jennings after he was waived by the Knicks. House’s release does not move the needle in terms of DFS but Jennings should replace Trey Burke in the rotation. With Trey Burke out tonight, the Wizards might lack some depth with Jennings still in the process. Washington has not made it clear if Jennings will be available for tonight’s game. Even if he is, Jennings is a risky option as he finds his way on a new team.

The Oklahoma City Thunder signed Norris Cole to be used as the backup guard with Cameron Payne now with Chicago. Cole is traveling with the team for tomorrow’s game against the Blazers but has not had his status updated for the game. The Thunder are unsure if he’ll be prepared to play after not being on a team for most of the season. Look for another update tomorrow regarding this situation.

Lawson is dealing with a stomach illness and has been downgraded to questionable. Since it comes as a mid-day downgrade, the prospects for Lawson playing are not great. Darren Collison will see the biggest bump with Lawson out. Arron Afflalo is also available to make his return and Tyreke Evans is known as a ball handler. Considering the Kings face the Nets tonight, Collison should be considered an elite option. When Lawson was out in February, Collison logged a ton of minutes and exceeded value easily until his salary spiked to unplayable levels.

Embiid will miss the remainder of the season due to an issue with the meniscus in his knee. The Sixers have not provided us an update on his future outlook or if there will be any surgery performed. Jahlil Okafor and Richaun Holmes will be used as the backup centers and Dario Saric will also log heavy minutes in the frontcourt. Okafor and Holmes are extremely volatile players and their minutes are not secure from game-to-game. Saric is the biggest beneficiary with Embiid out, but his salary continues to spike with his strong play.

Once buyout talks started for Bogut and with the acquisition of Deron Williams, McRae was expected to be the expendable piece and he team confirmed that today as he will be waived in order to create a spot for the veteran center. McRae hadn’t seen much playing time of late but he could find a home on another team looking for some depth.

The Nuggets starting point guard popped up on the team injury report today due to illness and will be evaluated later today as to whether he will play or not. If he can’t go, Emmanuel Mudiay could get the start and would be an interesting, high-risk DFS option going against the Bucks. It’s a tough spot, however, as Mudiay has fallen out of favor of late and his role is not secure and the Bucks excel at defending opposing point guards ranking 3rd in PG DvP. We’ll update you on Nelson’s status later today when we learn more.

Arron Afflalo upgraded to probable for Sacramento tonight
Afflalo will return to action after missing the Kings last three games. His role in the rotation has diminished significantly so he has no DFS impact other then being a slight hit to the playing time of Ben McLemore and Buddy Hield.

The recently signed point guard will make his Cleveland debut tonight against the Celtics, backing up Kyrie Irving. He won’t be a viable DFS option immediately but stay tuned for situations where Irving gets a night off.

Reed is making progress but he’s not quite ready to see the court yet and he’ll miss his second straight game. He appears doubtful to play in the teams next game on Friday as well. Hassan Whiteside and James Johnson both see a few extra minutes of playing time as a result of Reed’s absence.

Matthews did not travel with the team due to a hip injury – Nerlens Noel was originally going to be moved into the starting lineup but was late for the team flight meaning Dorian Finney-Smith will get the start instead. He’s not a viable target though as he has limited upside, even as a starter. Seth Curry, Harrison Barnes, and Noel should benefit the most from Matthews being out.

The Knicks young big man has been ruled out for their game tonight against the Orlando Magic. Kyle O’Quinn is expected to start in his place and is an excellent mid-range option at center, especially on FanDuel where he is only $4.7K.

It didn’t look good last night and this morning news confirms that the Warriors All-Star forward will be out indefinitely with a MCL sprain. He’ll be reevaluated in a month and there is no official timetable for his return – this will return the Warriors to their 2016 look with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green all receiving a bump in their usage – Curry should be expected to shoulder the load more now with KD out. Andre Iguodala and newly signed Matt Barnes should also see significant roles.

Robinson has been officially ruled out for tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets after previously being downgraded from questionable to doubtful on the Lakers’ injury report due to an illness. Robinson has not been a regular part of the Lakers’ frontcourt rotation for several weeks now, but he did manage to see 17 minutes in Sunday’s blowout loss to the San Antonio Spurs. The absence of Robinson will not have a huge effect on the Lakers’ rotation as a whole, though there could be a few extra minutes available for Ivica Zubac behind Tarik Black at center.
