Rodney Hood (knee) will play tonight against Milwaukee
Rodney Hood has missed the last 7 games due to a knee injury but will play tonight against the Bucks. Hood is an extremely risky play tonight due the fact he unlikely to play over 24 minutes. Joe Ingles and Joe Johnson will also take considerable hits to their value with Hood back in the rotation. Expect Hood to start at SG.

Bojan Bogdanovic active and available to debut for Washington tonight; Chris McCollough will be inactive
Bojan Bogdanovic was brought to the Washington Wizards to provide bench depth and he is available to play off the bench tonight. Considering the game is against Philadelphia, Bogdanovic should be able to make value. It’s unclear who will take see a reduction in playing time with Bogdanovic around but Kelly Oubre carries the most risk moving forward. Chris McCollough is not active for tonight’s game.

Serge Ibaka will play tonight for the Raptors and should be considered an elite GPP option against a team that really struggles to rebound the ball. Ibaka has not been named the starter just yet but all signs are pointing towards Ibaka starting tonight. P.J. Tucker is with the team but did not participate in shootaround this morning. Tucker could still play later tonight if he passes his physical but has not been confirmed yet. Expect another update from the Raptors later today. Tucker will likely play off the bench if he is available, keeping his DFS viability low.

Nerlens Noel is expected to make his debut at home tomorrow and not tonight. Dirk Nowitzki, Dwight Powell, and Salah Mejri will log all the minutes at C tonight. Nowitzki is coming off his best game of the season prior to the All-Star break and should be considered a strong option for tonight. His salary is still under $6k on DraftKings so the potential upside is high. Nowitzki has played 30 or more minutes in three of his last four starts.

Andrew Bogut who was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers for Nerlens Noel is not with the team. He is expected to be bought out and is unlikely to play in Philadelphia. Jahlil Okafor will likely start and play heavy minutes with Joel Embiid also out. Richaun Holmes will be used as Okafor’s backup and also should be able to exceed value against the Wizards. Holmes is a better play on FanDuel since his salary is at $3.5k. Considering the opportunity cost, Holmes might not be the best way to allocate your funds in cash games. Still, there is tournament viability to having a min priced player that should play 20+ minutes tonight. Holmes is $4.4k on DraftKings and may not be as strong of a play.

Avery Bradley was able to participate in shootaround today but has not been medically cleared to play. The Celtics will be cautious with their guard and if things change we’ll make sure to send out another update. Jaylen Brown was seen in practice yesterday with the starters and is expected to slot back in at SG after missing 3 games due to a hip injury. Brown remains under $4k on both major sites and could return to playing 28-32 minutes. Gerald Green is dealing with a heel injury and did not make the trip to Toronto for tonight’s game.

Thaddeus Young is hoping to play tonight but the team has not sent out an official update. Young has missed the last 8 games due to a sprained wrist. Kevin Seraphin will likely head to the bench with Young returning and is no longer a viable DFS option. Young is not suitable for cash games due to the game environment against Memphis. His salary leaves some potential upside but it’s unlikely he’ll exceed value greatly.

Ersan Ilyasova is expected to play tonight for the Hawks. Ilyasova will primarily be used as the backup power forward with Mike Scott shipped out of town. With his salary under $5k on both major sites, Ilyasova may be able to make salary-based expectations. Since there are 10 games on the slate, Ilyasova is not a primary option and likely carries more risk than reward in his first game.

Guard Jarrett Jack has signed a 10-day contract with the New Orleans Pelicans and could debut against the Mavs on Saturday. Jack will likely be used as the backup PG and at SG at times. It’ll be tough to trust him right off the bat but he’s always been a steady player. Considering he ended last season injured, it’ll be impossible to trust Jack in cash games for Saturday. Tim Frazier will likely continue to be sparingly used.

Jeremy Lin has been out since December due to a bad hamstring but is expected to play tonight. The team has not mentioned if Lin will start or be restricted, but we should expect Lin to play about 20 minutes. Considering there are 10 games on the slate and the site have not brought Lin’s salary under $5k, we should avoid the risk tonight. Acy has missed 5 straight games due to an ankle injury and will continue to be out. The Nets have been using Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Trevor Booker at PF, but both are not elite options against a strong rebounding team like Denver.

Pachulia and West will play in tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers after previously being listed as questionable on the Warriors’ injury report due to their respective ailments. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had refused to commit to Pachulia as his starting center going forward, but Pachulia will reclaim the starting center spot, at least for now, sending JaVale McGee back to the bench to resume the reserve role. However, regardless of starter, the Warriors will continue to deploy a center by committee approach and neither Pachulia or McGee should be expected to see substantial minutes on a nightly basis.

Arron Afflalo (sore left hamstring) ruled out tonight
Afflalo will not play in tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets despite previously being reported as available to play earlier in the day after continuing to deal with a sore left hamstring. The Kings are expected to start Ben McLemore and the newly-acquired Buddy Hield on the wing with Anthony Tolliver replacing DeMarcus Cousins at power forward. The primary Kings off the bench will be Tyreke Evans, Ty Lawson, and Willie Cauley-Stein. The entire Kings roster is severely underpriced given their expected roles and usage sans Cousins, meaning all eight primary rotation players are firmly in play for any format this evening.

Baynes is expected to be available to play in tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets after previously being listed as questionable on the Pistons’ injury report due to an illness. Neither the Pistons or head coach Stan Van Gundy have officially confirmed Baynes availability, but Henry Ellenson and Michael Gbinije are both inactive, strongly implying that Baynes will play off the bench tonight. Baynes is not a daily fantasy option, but his presence in the rotation does slightly lower Andre Drummond’s minute floor at the center spot.

Nurkic will be inserted into the Trail Blazers’ starting lineup for tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic, sending Meyers Leonard back to the bench to resume a reserve role. Nurkic was already in play given his low price tag across the industry but now becomes an elite option in all formats against an exploitable Orlando frontcourt that just recently traded away Serge Ibaka prior to the All-Star break.
