There was some question as to if this game would take place tonight but both teams are arriving and the league expects the game to be played. If there are any changes in the weather, we’ll send out another update. For now, all the players in this game are safe.

Dwyane Wade (rest) expected to play on Thursday

Dwyane Wade did not play in the Bulls’ previous game because it was on the second night of a back-to-back. With Jimmy Butler and Nikola Mirotic already ruled out, Wade will be expected to carry a heavy burden. Rajon Rondo is also back in the rotation and also a strong option with Butler and Mirotic out of the lineup

Anthony Davis questionable for Pelicans on Thursday

New Orleans Head Coach Alvin Gentry stated his star power forward was sore, getting treatment, and that they would see how he felt tomorrow. He’s considered questionable and we should know more after tomorrow’s shootaround. Terrence Jones would get a huge bump in value if Davis can’t play.

Jimmy Butler and Nikola Mirotic ruled OUT for Bulls on Thursday

Both Butler and Mirotic will not travel with the team to New York due to illness and will miss Thursdays game against the Knicks. Dwyane Wade receives the biggest bump but it wouldn’t be a surprise to see another excellent outing from Rajon Rondo after he came off the bench and excelled last night. Doug McDermott will likely get another start but he’s a risky option after putting up a huge dud last night.

Portland-Cleveland game likely to take place tonight

The Trail Blazers had to fly in to Seattle last night and there has been some concern that their game tonight with Cleveland would be postponed. However, the team is flying out of Seattle in a couple of hours and Trail Blazers beat writer Casey Holdahl stated “this game is happening folks” as he prepares to travel back with the team. We’ll continue to monitor the status of this game but for now go with the assumption that the game will take place.

Zach LaVine DOUBTFUL to play tonight for Minnesota

LaVine is dealing with a hip injury and is doubtful (unlikely) to play tonight although Head Coach Tom Thibodeau stated that he’s a game-time decision. It’s a situation we’ll keep a close eye on but if he can’t go, it’ll likely be Kris Dunn moving into the starting lineup with increased usage for Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns.

Derrick Rose will start for Knicks tonight

Knicks Head Coach Jeff Hornacek stated that Rose would return to the starting lineup for their game tonight against Philadelphia after being an unexpected no-show for their game on Monday. Who knows what kind of performance we’ll see from Rose – there is a narrative where he could storm back with a vengeance and another where he just shows up and does nothing and cedes way to Brandon Jennings. He’s a high-risk with some upside play against the 76ers that’ll be worth a shot in a GPP lineup or two.

Luke Babbitt (illness) and Udonis Haslem (illness) available to play tonight; Josh Richardson (foot) officially ruled out

Babbitt and Haslem will be available to play in tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors after a pair of one-game absences due to an illness in the Heat’s previous game. Babbitt will replace Derrick Williams in the starting lineup, but is averaging less than 20 minutes per start, removing him from fantasy consideration outside of a long-shot tournament punt. As for Haslem, he will likely remain out of the rotation with Hassan Whiteside now healthy. Josh Richardson will also not suit up for this contest, as expected.

Matt Barnes (rest) ruled out tonight

Barnes will not play in tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons due to rest. Since Rudy Gay returned from injury, Barnes has only averaged 21 minutes of playing time in the last two games, meaning his absence from the rotation isn’t necessarily earth shattering. However, Omri Casspi may reenter the rotation, while Garrett Temple could see additional run at small forward. Temple is only one really in consideration for tournaments on the late slates, though neither are particularly intriguing options.

Patrick McCaw confirmed as starter for Klay Thompson (rest) tonight

Klay Thompson will not play in tonight’s game against the Miami Heat due to rest. The Warriors likely want to get him some time off before they face Cavaliers, Thunder, and Rockets in the upcoming week. Thompson had also been dealing with an illness this past weekend, so that most likely also factored into the decision to rest him this eveing. Patrick McCaw will draw the start at shooting guard in Thompson’s absence but is not a viable daily fantasy option given all the other value on this slate. Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green remain primary beneficiaries of additional usage in the starting unit sans Thompson.

Montrezl Harrell starting over Nene tonight

Harrell will reenter the starting lineup at center for tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets. He replaces Nene, who had drawn the start in the previous contest, in the starting unit. This news only cements Harrell as the preferred center option in the Houston front court this evening, as he continues to see more minutes than Nene regardless of starting status.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) will have minutes monitored tonight, could be benched early on if he's "off"

Antetokounmpo will play and start in tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs after previously being listed as questionable on the Bucks’ injury report due to an illness that forced him to miss Sunday’s contest. Bucks’ head coach Jason Kidd told reporters that he will monitor Antetokounmpo early on to see how the illness is affecting his performance, and if he doesn’t like how he is responding, they could pull him from the game early. Not only does rostering Antetokounmpo carry the normal risk of a player trying to play through an illness, but he also carries the additional risk of the Bucks’ coaching staff not allowing him to finish this game. He is an easy avoid in every format.

Eric Gordon (toe) officially ruled out for tonight

Gordon will not play in tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets after previously being listed as questionable on the Rockets’ injury report with a sprained left big toe. No members of the Rockets’ primary rotation see a substantial boost in usage without Gordon on the floor, but there should theoretically be more shots availbe for the likes of Ryan Anderson, Trevor Ariza, and Patrick Beverley. As usual, James Harden remains an elite option in all formats and may even take on a larger scoring load without Gordon available off the bench.

David Lee confirmed as the starter in place of LaMarcus Aldridge

Aldridge will not play in tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks due to an illness. David Lee will draw the start at power forward in his absence and immediately becomes the top value option on the board at power forward. In previous games Aldridge has missed, Lee and Pau Gasol have greatly exceeded salary expectations and have a matchup with an exploitable Bucks’ front court that should allow them to see similar results once agains.
