Lucas Noguiera likely out tonight for Raptors
Raptors Head Coach Duane Casey stated his back up big man is likely out again tonight. Jonas Valanciunas put up a big night in 35 minutes in their season opener and while it’s a tough match up against the Cavaliers, he should be in line for similar minutes which puts him in play as a GPP options.

Denzel Valentine (ankle) available to play tonight with no limitations
Denzel Valentine will not have a minutes restriction for Thursday’s matchup against the Celtics. With that news, everyone on the Bulls’ roster is good to go for tonight’s game.

Frank Kaminsky (foot) and Brian Roberts (hamstring) questionable for Friday
Kaminsky missed the Hornets’ season opener on Wednesday, and remains questionable for tomorrow’s game against Miami. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Marvin Williams benefitted the most from Kaminsky’s absence, as they slid over to the power forward position on a variety of occasions with Cody Zeller also seeing limited minutes. If Kaminsky remains sidelined, look for Kidd-Gilchrist and Williams to offer substantial value once again Friday.

Shumpert is expected to clear the concussion protocol before the Cavaliers’ next game versus Toronto tomorrow night. Kay Felder will also be available tomorrow after passing the concussion protocol earlier today. With the Cavaliers’ backcourt returning to health, we can safely ignore all the reserves as fantasy options until Cleveland inevitably rests at least one of the big three of Lebron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love.

McRoberts didn’t play at all in the preseason due to a broken foot, but he was surprisingly active for Miami’s season opener. Although he didn’t play in the game, it was listed as a coach’s decision, and he is no longer listed on the Heat’s injury report. McRoberts is expected to spend most of his time at center this season, so minutes could be difficult to come by behind Hassan Whiteside when he is finally ready to take the court. Ellington will miss his second straight game tomorrow night versus New Orleans. Tyler Johnson will remain the Heat’s backup point guard, and Dion Waiters will likely draw another start with Josh Richardson still sidelined with a knee injury.

Calderon missed the final three preseason games and the regular season opener with a calf injury, so the doubtful designation isn’t shocking. He did practice on Thursday, but is still listed as doubtful for tomorrow’s game against the Utah Jazz. Calderon is the presumed backup point guard for Lakers when healthy, but even if he’s cleared to play in Friday’s game, he’ll likely be on a minutes restriction to reduce the chances of re-aggravating the injury.

Randy Foye is questionable to play on Friday and Bojan Bogdanovic stepped up in his place, putting up 29.8 DKFP/ 27 FDFP. Bogdanovic is a viable option against the Pacers on Friday and only saw his salary jump $100 on DraftKings. Bogdanovic is a viable tournament play at this price and could be considered as a semi-risky cash game option. With eight games on the slate, he’s not mandatory but could help open other spots and not totally sink your lineup. Bogdanovic is a shooter and needed 21 real points to put up the total that exceeded value for him. If his shot is not falling, he will definitely underperform.

The swelling is gone in the Memphis guard’s knee but he needs a little more time to rehabilitate it. He’s expected to miss close to a week while doing so.

D’Angelo Russell should be considered an elite option. Nick Young is a viable option on the late slate but is scoring dependent, making him impossible to trust in cash games. Julius Randle should be the other Laker to target.

Afflalo is a viable punt option against the Suns on Wednesday. Barnes is not a viable option in any format and should see limited minutes.

The Raptors always seem to like bringing Patrick Patterson off the bench, so they’ll give Siakam the start at power forward in an effort to preserve the chemistry of the second unit. Siakam played well in the preseason when given the opportunity so he could be on our radar soon, but the matchup with the Pistons tonight is less than ideal tonight. Jonas Valanciunas still remains our preferred target in the Raptors frontcourt.

The Nets will start Jeremy Lin, Bojan Bogdanovic, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Trevor Booker & Brook Lopez tonight against Boston. This move was expected with Randy Foye ruled out earlier in the day. Bogdanovic is a viable tournament option tonight if his shot is falling, though there are better floor and ceiling plays in his price range around the industry making it difficult to seriously recommend him as a play.

As if the Heat power forward picture wasn’t murky enough, McRoberts has been seen warming up with the team prior to tonight’s game. It’s safe to say that we can avoid this situation with Luke Babbitt receiving the start and Derrick Williams coming off the bench for the Heat. If anything, this is a bump to Serge Ibaka’s fantasy outlook this evening, as Babbitt is far from a lock down defender.

Bullock has been ruled out of the Pistons’ season opener tonight versus Toronto. In his absence, Stanley Johnson is likely to soak up most of the vacated wing minutes. The Pistons are currently only implied to score 95 points, which is lowest on the slate. This is a situation we can easily avoid outside of a possible leveage play of Andre Drummond in tournaments with Lucas Noguiera already ruled out for the Raptors. It is also still unclear how Stan Van Gundy will manage the guard minutes without Reggie Jackson (thumb/knee) available for an extended period of time.
