Toronto Raptors injury report for Wednesday

Jonas Valanciunas, Patrick Patterson, and James Johnson all practiced today and are considered questionable Wednesday for the Raptors when they take on Boston. We’ll update the status of these three tomorrow when more information becomes available.

Chandler Parsons out for Mavericks road trip

Word has been that Parsons might be out for the season but for now he’ll just miss the upcoming road trip and explore recovery options for his injured knee. David Lee, Justin Anderson, and Salah Mejri should stand to benefit the most. Mejri could be especially appealing if he can repeat the 40+ fpt, 30+ minute outing he had the other night against the Blazers.

Nikola Vucevic to remain out for Magic on Wednesday

This will be the 10th consecutive game that Vucevic will miss for the Magic when they play on Wednesday. Dewayne Dedmon and Jason Smith will continue to split time at center in his absence but neither are particularly viable DFS options. If anything changes before tip-off tomorrow, we’ll update it here.

Carmelo Anthony practices; looks likely to play on Wednesday

Anthony took part in the team scrimmage this morning and looked good – a good sign that he will play tomorrow for the Knicks. We’ll update Anthony’s status tomorrow when we learn more.

Marvin Williams questionable for tonight

Williams is battling a sore knee and is considered questionable for the Hornets when they take on the Brooklyn Nets. Considering they just played a hard-fought game against the Spurs last night, it wouldn’t be surprising if they opted to give Williams the night off. If they do, it should mean an uptick in minutes for Al Jefferson and Cody Zeller – both of whom would make excellent GPP targets against a Nets team that is in the bottom third of the league in every DvP category. Check back in later for more on Williams as we’ll update his status as soon as more information comes in.

Kevin Durant says he will play tonight against Rockets

Durant had been considered questionable but he told media that he would be playing tonight. It’s a slight (but negligible) hit to Russell Westbrook – both him and Durant are top options tonight in a game that should be a somewhat close, high-scoring game (especially if James Harden is able to play). If anything changes regarding Durant’s status, we’ll update it here.

James Harden goes through shootaround; will be a game-time decision tonight

Harden entered today questionable but took part in the team shootaround and appears as if he will play tonight against the Thunder. However, he did add that he was having difficulty cutting and that he would be a game-time decision. Harden is always a top option but he’s even more so tonight on a four game slate in a game that easily has the highest total of the night. As soon as we get more definitive word on Harden, we’ll update it here.

Matt Barnes to start over Lance Stephenson on Monday

Matt Barnes will return to the starting lineup after a one-game suspension. Barnes has averaged 27.26 DKFP in three games against the Suns this season. Likely due to recency bias, Barnes will be a low-owned player in tournaments. He gets a great matchup and is cheaper than Lance Stephenson. With Stephenson’s salary spiking so much recently, he is only a GPP option, and a risky one at that. Stephenson’s shooting percentage has returned to normal over the last three games, meaning his ceiling is slightly lower now. With Zach Randolph also back in the lineup, Stephenson’s usage will continue to dip.

Marcin Gortat (back) to play on Monday

Marcin Gortat was questionable earlier in the day but has been confirmed as the starter against the Hawks. Gortat is a viable option for both cash games and tournaments. His questionable tag will him make go under-owned. Additionally, he has played 33+ minutes and had a double-double in back-to-back games, providing a safe floor.

Willie Cauley-Stein will come off the bench on Monday; Quincy Acy and James Anderson to start

Willie Cauley-Stein will come off the bench on Monday after missing two games due to an illness. Before going down with the illness, WCS was averaging 19.85 DKFP over his last four games. Quincy Acy will continue to start but he is not a DFS option and should not play more than 20 minutes. James Anderson will replace Darren Collison in the starting lineup for defensive purposes. Anderson did exceed value in his last two starts but will have to deal with Jimmy Butler tonight.

Darrell Arthur starting for Kenneth Faried on Monday

Darrell Arthur will make his second consecutive start for Kenneth Faried. Arthur had 36 fantasy points on DraftKings on Saturday, so expect him to be a chalky pick with his salary still at $4,100. Arthur might not blow up like that again due to Cleveland being a tough defensive team. Arthur has upside at his price if he can play over 30 minutes, making him a viable option on a nine-game slate.

Timofey Mozgov to start; Iman Shumpert goes back to the bench

Timofey Mozgov will return to the starting lineup on Monday. Mozgov is averaging 12.74 fantasy points on DraftKings in his last seven starts, making him a risky tournament option against his former team. Iman Shumpert will go back to the bench and he also is not a viable option. Shumpert is averaging only four shot attempts in his last eight contests. Look for LeBron James and Kyrie Irving to benefit the most with Kevin Love out of the lineup.

Bradley Beal to play on Monday; Alan Anderson (ankle) out

Bradley Beal (pelvis) will make his second consecutive start on Monday. Beal has been a volatile player all season, so he is only recommended to be used in tournaments. Alan Anderson has only played in one game out of his last four due to recurring ankle issues. Garrett Temple will play behind Beal but he is only an option if he can secure over 30 minutes.

Moore’s absence will lend more time to the likes of Justin Holiday, Aaron Brooks and Doug McDermott, although there really isn’t a clear beneficiary with Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose both healthy. The entire Bulls starting five is in play tonight against the porous Kings defense that sieves fantasy points to all positions.

Ryan Anderson (groin) ruled out for Tuesday; Norris Cole (back) is questionable

With Anderson out on Tuesday, look for Dante Cunningham and Luke Babbitt to both see minutes in the 30-33 range (with upside for more) while Jrue Holiday’s usage rate should go through the roof. Cunningham and Babbitt are both viable GPP punt plays while Omer Asik is more of a low-end option with Anderson out. Norris Cole is once again questionable, and if he’s able to play he’ll be a nice contrarian target. His presence would eat into Toney Douglas’ production. We’ll update Cole’s status after tomorrow’s shootaround.
