Brandan Wright out indefinitely, will not suit up vs. DEN

Wright has now been ruled out indefinitely, so he won’t take the court tonight against the Nuggets. He’s been starting recently and has been seeing around 18-20 minutes of court time, and most of that should shift to JaMychal Green and Chris Andersen. Green looks like the candidate to steal most of Wright’s time tonight since Denver likes to play small, but neither Green nor Andersen are strong DFS targets tonight. Both can be avoided while Zach Randolph, Mike Conley and Matt Barnes all remain squarely in play.

Brandan Wright on crutches; doubtful to play tonight

After injuring his knee in the Grizzlies last game, Wright was seen on crutches at today’s shootaround and is unlikely to play tonight when the team takes on the Denver Nuggets. This should benefit JaMychal Green the most and he’s a viable DFS punt option against a Nuggets team that struggles against opposing bigs. We’ll update you on Wright’s status as soon as we learn more.

C.J. Miles

Boston Celtics

C.J. Miles out for Pacers today

Miles has played only one game since the 11th of February and continues to remain out for the Pacers – there is hope that he will be able to return for the team on Wednesday. The news is not too significant in terms of DFS relevance as Rodney Stuckey is still on a minutes limitation and he is the biggest beneficiary of Miles not playing.

Arron Afflalo questionable for Knicks on Tuesday

Afflalo missed the teams last game but an MRI came back with positive results and he is considered questionable for the Knicks game on Tuesday. Langston Galloway would benefit most if Afflalo was unable to go as he played 35 minutes and put up 27 FanDuel fantasy points when starting for Afflalo last game. We’ll update you on Afflalo tomorrow when we learn more of his status.

Derrick Rose will be a game-time decision on Tuesday

Rose has missed the last three games and Bulls Head Coach Fred Hoiberg said he would be a game-time decision for the team for their Tuesday night game. E’Twaun Moore is the biggest beneficiary if Rose sits. We’ll update you on Rose tomorrow when more information becomes available.

Clint Capela

Houston Rockets

Clint Capela doubtful to play tonight

Capela did not go through morning shootaround and appears as if he will miss his third consecutive game tonight when the Rockets take on the Milwaukee Bucks. Josh Smith will likely get another start and at or near minimum salary is in play as a punt option against a Bucks team that is bottom 10 in the league in PF DvP. We’ll update Capela’s status later today when we learn more.

Trevor Booker

2/29/16, 12:10 PM ET

Trevor Booker OUT Monday

Booker is not out due to injury but instead is attending his grandmother’s funeral in South Carolina. He’s expected to miss just one game. Booker hasn’t been much of a DFS option since Derrick Favors returned but he does average 15-20 minutes a night and those minutes should now go to Trey Lyles who could be an intriguing value option tonight at minimum price that no one will be on (given that he has been getting on average under 10 minutes a game) going against a Celtics team that is 26th in PF DvP

Joe Johnson

Boston Celtics
2/28/16, 8:16 PM ET

Joe Johnson starting Sunday

Joe Johnson will make his Miami Heat debut Sunday against the Knicks. He will be in the starting lineup, sending Justise Winslow to the bench. Since the Heat just acquired Johnson; he isn’t available yet on DK and FD. With Johnson joining the Heat, it hurts the fantasy value of Winslow and Luol Deng.

Arron Afflalo

2/28/16, 7:07 PM ET

Arron Afflalo out Sunday, Langston Galloway will start

Arron Afflalo won’t play Sunday against the Heat because of a thigh injury. Langston Galloway will start in his place. Galloway should be in for at least 30 minutes, but is only a GPP play tonight. He has a very tough matchup against the Heat. Miami ranks 3rd in the NBA at defending shooting guards this season. Afflalo is $4,000 on both sites.

Cory Joseph

Orlando Magic
2/28/16, 6:55 PM ET

Cory Joseph starting for Kyle Lowry

Cory Joseph will start for Kyle Lowry Sunday against the Pistons. Joseph should see a ton of minutes tonight. He is an elite punt play tonight, but you could fade him in tournaments, since he will be highly owned. He is just $4,200 on both sites.

DeMar DeRozan

DeMar DeRozan will play Sunday

DeMar DeRozan will play Sunday against the Pistons after missing yesterday’s practice with an illness. DeRozan makes for an excellent play in all formats tonight. He gets a big usage bump, with Kyle Lowry being out tonight. In two games against Detroit this season; he has averaged 38 DK points per game.

Victor Oladipo

Memphis Grizzlies
2/28/16, 6:39 PM ET

Victor Oladipo is a great option at SG with Evan Fournier out

Evan Fournier has been ruled out for tonight’s game vs. the Sixers with a bad right wrist, and Victor Oladipo should see all the minutes he can get at SG for the Magic. Oladipo’s problem has really been Scott Skiles and his terrible mood swings that would see Oladipo randomly playing 20 minutes in a game, however lately Skiles has been much better at playing Oladipo 36-40 minutes like he should be. Without Fournier, it wouldn’t be out of the question for Oladipo to play 40+ minutes tonight and will be relied on heavily along with Nikola Vucevic and Aaron Gordon to produce on the offensive end for the Magic. He is a great option at SG tonight and at an affordable $7,100 on DraftKings and $6,800 on FanDuel.

Aaron Gordon

Denver Nuggets
2/28/16, 6:10 PM ET

Aaron Gordon has been very consistent with his new role in the starting lineup

We have written Gordon up a couple of times since Tobias Harris was traded, and we are going back to the well today as he gets a great matchup vs. the Sixers’ big men. Since being inserted into the starting lineup, Gordon has not had a game below 31.5 DK points and is beginning to show the consistency we have wanted to see all year from him. He has always had a lot of upside, but sometimes we didn’t know what Coach Scott Skiles was going to do with his rotations. Since Harris was shipped and Evan Fournier is out tonight with a wrist injury, Gordon should be locked into 32-35 minutes yet again barring foul trouble. His price has risen, and rightly so, but he is a safe option tonight at a PF position that is relatively weak. Teams tend to struggle with athletic big men and Gordon definitely fits that mold and will try to take advantage of a Sixers front court that is 28th in DvP vs. PFs.

Paul George

Boston Celtics
2/28/16, 6:03 PM ET

Paul George is a safe option at SF tonight

Paul George hit a bit of a dry spell leading up to the All Star Break, but he looks to have fixed whatever the problem was as he has been very productive recently. A lot of people were burned by him at some point or another before the break, and many are still hesitant to pull the trigger on George despite his recent performance. His price still really hasn’t caught up to his level of production as he is averaging 46 DK points over the last ten games and at an $8,700 price tag on DraftKings, he is over 5x value at his average. Portland is 6th in DvP vs. opposing SFs so some might be scared away, but star players like George are not affected as much as by a difficult matchup. That’s not to say you should completely ignore the matchup for any good player, however George is a top option at SF and may be slightly under owned because of the matchup. He has a very high floor today and George is a solid option at SF on a short slate like tonight.

Evan Fournier

Detroit Pistons
2/28/16, 5:56 PM ET

Evan Fournier out Sunday, Mario Hezonja will start

Evan Fournier will miss Sunday’s game against the 76ers with a wrist injury. Mario Hezonja will start for Fournier. Hezonja is a GPP punt play only tonight. His play has been inconsistent this season. He had 22 FD points against the Knicks last game in 26 minutes. He is just $3,100 on DK and $3,600 on FD.
