Dwyane Wade warming up with the intention to play
Dwyane Wade will warm up with the intention to play tonight against Indiana. With Chris Bosh out, Wade’s usage will really jump up and the fact that he’s missed the Heat’s past two games may cause him to go a little under-owned. While he does carry some risk in cash games, he’s an excellent tournament option tonight across the industry. Gerald Green will presumably go back to a bench role which takes him out of DFS consideration. Luol Deng, Goran Dragic and Justise Winslow also will regress with Wade back in the lineup. Wade’s playing time isn’t expected to be limited any more than usual if he plays.

Jameer Nelson questionable for Tuesday
Jameer Nelson is officially listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game with the Kings, although beat reporter Harrison Wind stated that he’d be surprised to see Nelson active tomorrow night. Nelson has missed the Nuggets last 8 games and with both Emmanuel Mudiay and D.J. Augustin healthy, Denver has no reason to rush Nelson back into action. Even if he does return tomorrow, he won’t be on the DFS radar, but his presence would really create a log-jam in the Nuggets back-court.

Kyrie Irving exited last night’s game with an illness but will be playing tonight. Irving’s availability puts a damper on the values of Matthew Dellavedova and Kevin Love. Dellavedova still has some value but his upside is limited. Kevin Love will likely see fewer shot attempts, and is a risky cash game play with Irving in the lineup. Irving is a slightly better play on FanDuel due to his price.

Kevin Love is a GPP option with high upside
Kevin Love has put together some great games as of late, but he has also put up some major duds with three straight games over 25 points last week. Chances are you have been burned by Love once or twice if you have been playing DFS for awhile, but the duds have kept his price relatively low for the upside he brings to the table. Love showed last night vs. the Bulls that he has 50 fantasy point upside at only $7,300 on DK and $7,200 on FD. A lot of people are scared to touch Love because of the volatility he possesses, and he will likely be pretty low-owned tonight. He is not really a safe cash game play, but the upside he offers deserves a look in your GPP lineups tonight.
Anthony Tolliver (knee) out 2-4 weeks
Anthony Tolliver is expected to miss 2-4 weeks after an MRI confirmed that he had a knee sprain. He was a very low-end DFS option and was blocking Tobias Harris from starting. With Tolliver out, Harris is expected to start tonight against the Cavs. Harris makes for an intriguing play due to the fact he should see over 30 minutes tonight. Harris played well last night (31.75 FPs) against Pelicans and will look to keep the momentum going tonight. Still, Harris is not a must play due to the Cavs being a strong defensive team.

The Clippers get a great matchup tonight with the Suns, and while the Suns are pretty poor defensively the spread is enormous in this game. That makes some of the more expensive guys like Chris Paul risky because if it turns into a blowout by the third quarter a lot of the starters will be taken out. While Paul does make for a good tournament option, he is likely too risky to be played in cash games because of the big chunk of salary he will take up. A way to hedge against this is to spend a smaller chunk of your salary on a guy like Jamal Crawford at only $5,600 on DK and $5,300 on FD. Crawford has been playing very well in this latest stretch of games for the Clippers and picked up right where he left off before the All-Star Break. He has averaged over 36 minutes per game over the last six, and to find a guy that plays, and scores, at the clip he does at this price is a great option to lock into your lineups.
Channing Frye to be active tonight for the Cavs
Channing Frye has passed his physical and will be on the active roster tonight. With the Cavs on the second night of a back-to-back, there is a chance for Frye to get some playing time. Frye is an extremely risky play and should not be used in cash games at all. With Markieff Morris and Jeff Green struggling with their new teams, look for Frye to take a couple games to get used to the Cavs.

Omer Asik has been listed as doubtful with an ankle injury for Tuesday’s contest against the Wizards. Alexis Ajinca is listed as the probable starter and could see over 20 minutes on Tuesday. While Ajinca has rarely gotten over 20 minutes this season, he has flashed 30+ FPS upside when given the minutes. If Ajinca can stay out of foul trouble on Tuesday, he should be considered a strong value play with his near minimum salary on the major sites.

Casspi has been missing time due to dental work, but he’s practicing today and it looks likely that he’ll be able to play Tuesday given that he’s not dealing with an injury that should hamper him on the court. He’s not a DFS option with Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins healthy, but his return will lead to fewer minutes for James Anderson.

Tyson Chandler is doubtful for tonight’s game with the Clippers due to a right shoulder bruise. With Chandler unlikely to go, Alex Len should start at center and would likely surpass 27-30 minutes of court time assuming he’s able to stay out of foul trouble. Len becomes a very solid punt play at center while the outlook for Kris Humphries, Jon Leuer and Mirza Teletovic also spikes a bit. Teletovic looks to be in the most favorable spot of any of the three PF options on the Phoenix side.

Paul left Saturday’s game with the Warriors due to a thigh injury, but he appears to be fine and will play tonight against the Suns. He picked up 35 minutes of court time Saturday during the Clippers loss and posted a CP3-esque line (24 pts, 7 reb, 6 ast), so there’s no reason to expect Paul to struggle tonight. The Suns are among the worst in the league at defending PGs, so if Phoenix can keep this one close, Paul has monster upside.

This doesn’t have any real DFS implications for tonight, but the three-team deal involving Houston, Detroit and Philadelphia has been voided. The Pistons were able to take a closer look at Donatas Motiejunas’ back and did not like what they saw, so all parties involved will go back to their original teams. None of the players involved in that deal will take the court tonight.

CJ Miles is doubtful to play tonight after injuring his calf and starting PG George Hill is considered questionable for the Pacers when they take on the Miami Heat. It’s a tough match up for Hill if he does go as the Heat are 2nd in PG DvP this season. If he doesn’t go expect Monta Ellis and Paul George to see the ball in their hands more – George would be the preferred target of the two as the Heat struggle most against SF’s (18th in DvP). Miles not playing isn’t significant as his role has decreased dramatically with the emergence of Myles Turner in the Pacers big lineup.

Kyrie Irving questionable; Iman Shumpert doubtful for Cavaliers in tonight's game
Irving missed the second half of Sunday’s game with flu-like symptoms and is considered questionable to play tonight against the Pistons. If he is unable to go, Matthew Dellavedova would likely get the bulk of the minutes at PG and while he is in play as a value option at $3,900 on FanDuel and $3,800 on DraftKings, know he is not a safe play as evidenced by putting up just 10.7 FD fpts in 29 minutes yesterday. If anything, Irving’s absence is a bigger boost for Lebron James who would likely be tasked with having the ball even more in his hands. We’ll update Irving’s status when more information becomes available.

Bogut missed the Warriors game on Saturday and is considered questionable for tonight’s game against the Hawks. If he is able to go, the Hawks are one of the worst rebounding teams in the league and while he doesn’t get much playing time (he averages 18.9 minutes per game in his last 10), he is usually productive with those minutes (averaging nearly 1.15 FD fpt/min) and could be a value play given the match up. His absence would lead to Andre Iguodala and Mareese Speights to seeing more playing time but neither can be trusted from a DFS standpoint.
