Pau Gasol misses practice with flu
The Bulls big man has come down with the flu and missed today’s practice and is considered a game-time decision for the teams game against the Wizards tomorrow. If he is unable to go it’ll mean big minutes for Bobby Portis and Taj Gibson. We’ll update his status tomorrow when it becomes available.

Tony Allen doubtful to play on Wednesday
Memphis Head Coach Dave Joerger stated that Tony Allen is unlikely to play in the team’s game on Wednesday due to his nagging knee injury that forced him to miss the teams last game. It’s not a huge impact as Allen hasn’t been playing a ton of minutes lately but Mario Chalmers, Vince Carter, and Lance Stephenson should all receive a slight bump in minutes if Allen is unable to play. We’ll update Allen’s status tomorrow when more information comes in.

Both players took part in the team shootaround and have a chance at taking the court tonight when the Wizards take on the Pelicans in what is expected to be a high scoring game. Neither are DFS relevant although they will eat up a small number of minutes for players like Garrett Temple. We’ll update you on the status of these two when we learn more.

Tyson Chandler will miss another game with a shoulder injury. Alex Len will likely start in his place and is an elite punt option tonight. The Suns are projected to be blown out so his ceiling might not be as high. Len had 39.25 FPs last night against the Spurs, so it’s likely that he will be a chalky play tonight.

Andrew Bogut (Achilles) will play on Monday
Andrew Bogut will return to the starting lineup tonight for the Warriors. Bogut sat out Saturday’s game with a sore Achilles. With Bogut returning to the lineup, Draymond Green will be in an elite matchup against Paul Millsap. Bogut will also be a solid under-owned late-swap play on DK tonight.

Nemanja Bjelica will miss the Timberwolves upcoming three-game road trip. Bjelica is dealing with a sore foot and there is no timetable for his return. With Kevin Garnett and Nikola Pekovic out, Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng should see all the minutes they can handle.

Gerald Green will remain in the starting lineup tonight with Dwyane Wade back. Green will slide over to SF while Luol Deng remains as the starting PF. Green is a low-end play and should be avoided with Wade also playing. Wade is an elite option and should be in your lineups tonight after two games off.

Tobias Harris will be making his first start for the Detroit Pistons tonight. Harris is coming off his best game for the team but is a not a must play with so many good SF options on the board tonight. Harris is replacing Anthony Tolliver in the starting lineup.

With Chris Bosh out, Wade’s usage will really jump up and the fact that he’s missed the Heat’s past two games may cause him to go a little under-owned. While he does carry some risk in cash games, he’s an excellent tournament option tonight across the industry. Gerald Green will presumably go back to a bench role which takes him out of DFS consideration. Luol Deng, Goran Dragic and Justise Winslow also will regress with Wade back in the lineup. Wade’s playing time isn’t expected to be limited any more than usual if he plays.

Zach LaVine will be back in the starting lineup tonight for Tayshaun Prince. LaVine has flashed a high-upside but is currently only a cash game play with Kevin Martin also in the lineup. LaVine has scored over 24 FPs in 6 out of his last 7 games, providing a solid floor. Avery Bradley is known as a strong defender, which will likely make LaVine under-owned in tournaments.

C.J. Miles was only able to play 13 minutes last night and has been ruled out for tonight’s contest. Solomon Hill and Chase Budinger will likely see the backup minutes tonight with Miles out. Both Budinger and Hill are not viable DFS plays with Monta Ellis and George Hill both expected to play over 30 minutes tonight.

After the Lakers’ loss to the Bulls on Sunday, coach Byron Scott announced that D’Angelo Russell will be in the starting lineup for the rest of the season. While it is tough to trust anything Coach Scott says, it appears that the Lakers are at the point where they are going to develop some of their younger players like Russell. This is great for us DFS players because that means more playing time! Russell saw 34 minutes of action on Sunday as the starting PG, a significant increase from his average lately. Surprisingly DraftKings hasn’t raised his price at all at $4,500 and is still cheap on FanDuel at $4,900. At this price, he really doesn’t need to do a whole lot to reach value especially if he is given 34 minutes again tonight vs. the Bucks. Russell makes for a great value play and is a safe cash game play tonight.
George Hill to start on Monday
George Hill was questionable going into tonight’s game with an elbow injury but has been cleared to play. Hill will resume his starting position and is in a tough spot. The Heat rank as 2nd in DvP against PGs, so Hill is expected to be a low-end PG option tonight.

Jimmer Fredette will be on the active roster tonight for the Knicks but is not expected to play. Fredette’s next opportunity to play will be on Wednesday against the Pacers.
