Kevin Garnett, Nikola Pekovic and Kevin Martin all ruled out Monday
Kevin Garnett, Nikola Pekovic and Kevin Martin have all been ruled out for Monday’s game with the Pelicans. Without much depth in the front-court, expect Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng to continue to see upwards of 33-35 minutes of court time. Both of them are high-floor, high-upside plays tonight – if you have the cap space, Towns has been on fire of late and is well worth his salary on DraftKings, but the price difference between the two on FanDuel makes it a much tougher call. Dieng is the preferred option on FanDuel given that his salary is still sitting around $6K while Towns price has spiked to almost $9K.

Festus Ezeli undergoing knee surgery, no timetable for a return yet
Ezeli’s surgery is exploratory, so the Warriors haven’t offered any timetable for his return at this point. It’s likely that he misses a decent chunk of time, so look for Marreese Speights to pick up more minutes off the bench when the Warriors want to stay big. Even with Ezeli out, Speights isn’t likely to see more than 20 minutes of run on a given night, so he’s not a DFS option. Andrew Bogut’s playing time likely won’t change much as a result of Ezeli’s injury.

Gasol seems to play more often than not when he’s listed as questionable, so we’d put him somewhere in between the probable and questionable tags for tonight’s game with the Blazers. In the event that he can’t go, Zach Randolph would be locked in for 32+ minutes while Ryan Hollins would see increased run at the center spot. Hollins wouldn’t be a recommended DFS target even if Gasol is ruled out, but Randolph would become an elite GPP play.

DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo are probable for today’s game against the Cavaliers while Rudy Gay and Ben McLemore are listed as doubtful by the team. It’s a tough match up for the Kings going against a Cavaliers team that is third in the league in fpts/allowed per game and is primarily adept at covering bigs like Cousins. The one weakness for the Cavs is PG where they are 14th in DvP so there is some merit to giving Rondo a look. Marco Belinelli would likely get the start for McLemore if he doesn’t go and he’s an excellent value option despite the tough match up. Omri Casspi would probably get the start if Gay doesn’t play but his price tag is a bit higher and as such he’s not really a DFS target tonight. We’ll provide updates on all of the Kings players as they come in.

Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili out for Tuesday's game
Duncan is expected to be out through the All-Star Break while Ginobili is out for a month plus. David West will probably continue to get the start at center in Duncan’s absence. If anything changes regarding Duncan before tip-off tomorrow, we’ll update it here as soon as we learn of it.

No surprise here as Harris was expected to be out until after the All-Star Break. J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton will continue to benefit. If anything changes before tomorrow’s game we’ll post it as soon as we hear of it.

After missing nearly a month, Bucks Head Coach Jason Kidd stated that O.J. Mayo would be ready to play on Tuesday against the Celtics. John Henson remains out after not practicing today. If anything changes on these two prior to tip-off tomorrow, we’ll update it here.

Bulls Head Coach stated that Jimmy Butler is still experiencing soreness in his knee but is feeling better but that there is no timetable for his return yet. He added that he doubted Butler would play on Wednesday. E’Twaun Moore will likely continue to start in his absence and is a reasonable DFS value play at the SG position, especially on FanDuel where his price is only $4,100 (it’s $4,900 on DraftKings). Moore has been hit or miss since getting the starting nod with a couple of stellar games (29.9 FD fpts and 39 FD fpts) mixed in with a couple duds (11.6 and 13.4 FD fpts). It’s not the worst match up against a Hornets team that is 15th in SG DvP and 21st overall in fpts/game so he’s certainly in play.

It looked as if Humphries would not return until after the All-Star Break but he practiced today and is considered probable to play in the Wizards game on Tuesday. Hilario is questionable after practicing today as well. Neither are DFS relevant at this time but we’ll update you on their status tomorrow as it becomes available.

Both players have missed several games due to injury – Arthur appears to be closer to returning to play than Nelson but his role has diminished of late and his DFS value is negligible. We’ll update you on the status of both of these players when more information becomes available.

Lakers Head Coach Byron Scott stated that Bryant and Randle would both play tonight against the Pacers but that he was unsure about Roy Hibbert (who did take part in the shootaround). Bryant is an interesting GPP option, especially at DraftKings where his price is only $6,100 (it’s $6,800 on FanDuel) against a Pacers team that is 19th in SG DvP. The one concern with Kobe is always playing time but he has put up at least 35 DK fpts in his last four games and has played at least 32 minutes in his last three. Randle is similarly priced to Bryant at $6,400 on each site and has been ultra-consistent of late – he’s topped 30 minutes of playing time in his last five games including two 40+ fpt outings. It’s not the best match up against a Pacers team that is 12th against PF’s but he’s certainly in play as a mid-priced option. We’ll update you on Hibbert’s status when we learn more but expectations are that he’ll give it a go against his former team.

Love missed Saturday’s game but is probable to play in a favorable match up against the Sacramento Kings tonight. Dellavedova hasn’t played in nearly a week and will remain out tonight. While there is some blowout concern when rostering Love, the Kings are 29th in PF DvP and 29th overall in fantasy points allowed per game so it’s a chance worth taking with Love who had put together a nice string of games before incurring the injury on Friday against the Celtics.

Evan Fournier’s price has dropped a lot since he has been removed from the starting lineup awhile back, but he will get another shot at a starting spot today with Tobias Harris being ruled out. Fournier sits at only $4,500 on DraftKings and $4,600 on FanDuel and is in a great spot to at least reach value today. He will likely be locked in for around 30 minutes, and will only need 22 points to reach 5x, meaning he needs to rack up a little over 0.7 fantasy points per minute to reach value which is totally doable for a player like Fournier. On a short slate today because of Super Bowl Sunday, it is good to lock in players that are projected to play 30+ minutes and almost guarantee a high floor.
Jameer Nelson out Sunday
After returning for a brief period, Nelson has missed his last four games due to a wrist injury. With Nelson out, Emmanuel Mudiay is playing a ton of minutes. He is coming off his best game in a while against the Bulls. He finished with 35 FD points in 39 minutes. Mudiay has a great matchup today against the Knicks and Jose Calderon. He is just $5,600 on DK and $5,400 on FD.

Evan Turner has been performing well as of late and gets the Kings defense today
The Sacramento Kings have one of the worst defenses in the league as well as one of the fastest paces. This bodes well for any DFS players facing the Kings and today we get the Celtics who also have a pretty high pace as well. This game will be a high-scoring shootout and it is worthy of consideration for a stack on such a short slate. We will start with Evan Turner, who has been playing very well recently scoring over 30 DK points in six of his last seven games. Personally I think he is more appealing than his counterpart in Avery Bradley because of Turner’s peripherals and his ability to stuff the stat sheet in a variety of different ways. He is a viable candidate for a double-double and around 28 minutes in a great matchup with the Kings who are horrific at defending opposing SGs. Turner is a great option today with plenty of upside and a fairly high floor on a short slate.
