Larry Nance likely to start on Tuesday, Ryan Kelly listed as questionable
Larry Nance was seen back at practice playing with the starting unit on Monday. Nance has missed four games due to a knee injury but will likely start on Tuesday. Nance will make for an under-owned upside punt play against the Mavs, with his salary set at $4,900 on DraftKings. Ryan Kelly has been seeing minutes with Nance out but will likely miss on Tuesday due to an illness. Kelly was not an option even if he was to play on Tuesday.

Jon Leuer and Markieff Morris both questionable for Tuesday
Both Leuer and Morris are questionable to play against the Sixers tomorrow. With Brandon Knight already out, the Suns will once again be very shorthanded. If Leuer and/or Morris can’t go, Tyson Chandler will remain a very nice value target with Alex Len also providing solid value in the front-court. A Chandler/Len front-court seemed like a dreadful idea, but after the Suns win against Atlanta it’s looking like the two may be able to coincide if it’s necessary. Mirza Teletovic also benefits if either Leuer or Morris are out. P.J. Tucker will be a strong $/point play as he’s played 39 and 45 minutes in the last two games he’s completed.

Rudy Gay (heel) has been upgraded to probable for Monday
Rudy Gay has been upgraded to probable for tonight’s game with the Hornets. Omri Casspi would figure to be bumped from the starting lineup with Willie Cauley-Stein playing very well of late, so Casspi is a recommended fade unless something changes with Gay’s status. DeMarcus Cousins’ usage rate will drop a bit with Gay back, but DMC is still a very strong play in any format against the front-court duo of Marvin Williams and Spencer Hawes. Gay is a potential GPP target, but Cousins is in the much better spot here. Pairing him with Rajon Rondo is a recommended GPP strategy.

Derrick Favors continues to be listed as doubtful and it’s highly unlikely he returns tonight. There hasn’t been much of an update on Favors’ health and he may end up missing a decent chunk of time beyond tonight. With Andre Drummond looming, Rudy Gobert should see upwards of 30-32 minutes. He’s a nice contrarian GPP target and his presence makes Drummond a tough sell as anything more than a dart-throw GPP play. Gordon Hayward and Rodney Hood will continue to take on most of the scoring load, although the Pistons boast two solid wing defenders in KCP and Marcus Morris, so neither is an elite play tonight.

Brandon Knight will sit out through the Suns upcoming four-game road trip. In his absence, Archie Goodwin figures to remain the starting PG, and he’ll be a nice value option due to the dearth of injuries the Suns are dealing with. Goodwin has played an average of 40 minutes (41 and 39) over his last two games as the starter, and he figures to remain around that number for the next few games. Devin Booker’s value also rises without Knight in the lineup.

Andre Roberson is out through at least the All-Star break and his absence may linger on beyond that. Kyle Singler saw the biggest bump in playing time in the Thunder’s last game (he started the 2nd half for Roberson), but Dion Waiters and Anthony Morrow are the more intriguing options from a DFS perspective and it’s possible Morrow ends up finding his way into the starting lineup ahead of Singler going forward.

Tony Allen has been upgraded to probable for tonight’s game with the Magic. His presence may end up pushing Matt Barnes back out of the starting lineup, but we’ll need to wait for confirmation on that. Allen’s return also cuts into the minutes of Courtney Lee and Jeff Green, both of whom are recommended fades on tonight’s slate. Allen himself isn’t a strong DFS target with the Grizzlies wings healthy.

With Batum and Lamb still out, Kemba Walker’s usage rate will remain through the roof, making him a very solid target in any format tonight against the Kings. The Kings rank dead last in points allowed per game and rank 29th in FPs allowed per game, so this is a great spot for Kemba despite the game being played on the road (he’s averaging six more FPPG at home). Along with Walker, Jeremy Lin remains a nice upside GPP target, although he’s been very up and down lately as evidenced by him posting double-digit scoring efforts in every other game over his past nine contests. P.J. Hairston is coming off of a 20-10 game and still sits at just $3,500, so he offers some decent GPP upside as well, but keep in mind he’s not usually seeing more than 20-22 minutes a game even with the Hornets injuries in mind.

If Mahinmi isn’t able to suit up again, Myles Turner would remain a very solid value target. He’s been a DFS monster over his last 4 games, topping 25 points in two of his last four, and hitting the 30 FP mark in three of those games. Even with Mahinmi back, Turner has seemingly earned a more regular role in the rotation, although Mahinmi’s presence will cut down on his minutes and with Turner’s price on the rise, it’ll be tougher to justify playing him. We’ll have to hope that Mahinmi’s return cuts into the minutes of Jordan Hill and Lavoy Allen as opposed to Turner. With Rodney Stuckey still out, Joseph Young should continue to see run off the bench at both guard spots.

After missing a game this weekend, Millsap has rejoined the Hawks just in time for a juicy match up against the Denver Nuggets who rank 22nd in PF DvP and routinely struggle against opposing bigs. Millsap is an excellent option if you’re looking to pivot off of the higher priced plays like Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins.

Jameer Nelson OUT, Kenneth Faried Questionable for Nuggets tonight against Hawks
Kenneth Faried is a game-time decision and is considered questionable for the Nuggets tonight in their game against the Hawks. Jameer Nelson, however, has already been ruled out making Emmanuel Mudiay an excellent play once against a Hawks team that is middle of the pack (12th) in PG DvP. With Nelson out the last four games, Mudiay has played at least 33 minutes and scored a minimum of 25 fantasy points. He’s a better play on FanDuel where his price is only $5,200 but is still in play at his $5,800 price tag on DraftKings. We’ll update you on Faried’s status as we learn more – if he can’t go, Darrell Arthur would likely get the start in a tough match up against Paul Millsap. He’d still be in play though at his price tag as he has averaged nearly 30 minutes, 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks in the seven games Faried has missed this season.

Despite being listed as questionable for the Knicks game tomorrow, Carmelo Anthony says he plans to play. We’ll update you on his status tomorrow as the situation becomes more defined.

It appears unlikely the Rockets big man will play tonight against the Pelicans leaving Clint Capela and Terrence Jones to man the center position (with some additional minutes for Josh Smith as well) for the team against a Pelicans team that is dead last against the center position in DvP. All three are in play but Smith is probably the best option of the group given his price ($4,000 at DraftKings and $3,900 on FanDuel) and his recent play (25 and 29.6 FanDuel fantasy points in his last two games with the Rockets). We’ll update you on Howard’s status when more information becomes available.

The injury depleted Heat will get two players back tonight as Beno Udrih and Luol Deng will both return to action. Hassan Whiteside, however, has been ruled out. Udrih and Deng are both worthy of consideration as value plays against a Bulls team that is 26th in total fantasy points allowed including 27th against PGs and 24th against SFs. Whiteside’s absence will mean a bevy of players splitting minutes (i.e. Stoudemire/Haslem); none of which are viable options for DFS purposes.

Porter and Gooden took part in the team shootaround and are probable to play tonight for the Wizards in their game against the Celtics. Kris Humphries is still not available. Porter would typically be a decent mid-range option at SF as the Celtics struggle against SF’s (23rd in DvP) but his minutes will likely be limited removing him from consideration. Gooden is not a viable DFS option, especially on a large slate like tonight.
