David West starting for Tim Duncan
David West will start for the injured Tim Duncan on Wednesday. West isn’t a recommended option on a full slate as his minutes don’t normally climb above 25 even as a starter. Boban Marjanovic will also see time off the bench and has a higher ceiling than West does.

Nicolas Batum available to play on Wednesday
The Hornets had listed Nicolas Batum as questionable the entire day but it looks like he is available and will start tonight. Batum is a good DFS play tonight with most of the Hornets banged up tonight. Batum has an injured toe, so he might not have the explosiveness to get to the rim tonight. Look for Batum to be more of a facilitator against the Clippers tonight.

Tim Duncan out with knee soreness on Wednesday
The Spurs have ruled out Tim Duncan for another game with knee soreness. David West will get another start in his place and makes for a decent punt option again tonight. Don’t look for West to carry a huge offensive burden as he only averaged 9 points over his last 4 games. Boban Marjanovic has also played well in Duncan’s absence and could be a good punt option at C tonight.

The Jazz have ruled out Derrick Favors again tonight even though he did travel with the team. Look for Jeff Withey to get another start in his place. Withey played well and had 35.5 FPs on DK in his last start, so there is a chance for him to produce again. If you need another value option to stack multiple studs, Withey makes for a solid play and should be able to secure at least 24 minutes of action. Withey is averaging 25 FPs on DK in his last three games replacing Favors, so the ability to hit value is definitely there.

Jonas Valanciunas will start tonight against the Wizards, sending Bismack Biyombo to the bench. Given that Valanciunas’ price has dropped across the industry due him missing a decent chunk of time, he’s a potential deep-GPP option if you’re looking to go cheap at center. Biyombo is no longer playable in any format.

Doug McDermott will be playing tonight against the Pacers but is not much more than a low-end punt option tonight. On a night where there are 10 games, McDermott doesn’t present the upside needed with his limited minutes. Look for McDermott’s return to cut into Tony Snell’s minutes, making a Snell a risky DFS option tonight. Snell played well in McDermott’s absence, but his return does not bode well for Snell.

Steph Curry will be missing his first game of the season tonight with a lower leg injury. Shaun Livingston is likely to start in his place with Klay Thompson and Draymond Green getting the usage bump. Look for Andre Iguodala to also get some extra ball-handling duties tonight when the Warriors go to the bench. All four players should be viable plays tonight against the Mavs in what figures to be a close game. With Festus Ezeli also out of the lineup tonight, Andrew Bogut also becomes a viable play against a weak rebounding Mavericks team.

David Lee is back in the Celtics rotation tonight after missing two games with a back injury. Lee is not much of a DFS option unless there is any injury to the Celtics frontcourt. Lee’s return likely puts a cap on Jared Sullinger’s value, and could eat into some of his time due to Sullinger’s recurring back spasms. The Celtics are a team to use against the inept frontcourt of the Lakers, but with all the big men back it would be tough to suggest just one tonight.

Jeremy Lin, Al Jefferson and Spencer Hawes are all out on Wednesday, while Nicolas Batum remains a game-time decision. Kemba Walker should see as much run as he can handle tonight, making him a strong tournament play. He’s played at least 40 minutes in the Hornets last six games, and that total will almost surely rise to seven after tonight. Jeremy Lamb benefits from Lin’s absence, but he’d be a much better bet for production if Batum also ends up sitting out. As for the front-court, Cody Zeller, Marvin Williams and Frank Kaminsky should all see at least 28-30 minutes with Zeller and Williams candidates for 35+.

Elfrid Payton has been battling an illness along with two sprained ankles, but will start and try to give it a go tonight. Payton carries a ton of risk tonight and is best avoided in DFS. Victor Oladipo might get out of the doghouse tonight if Payton has to exit the game early. Oladipo is a GPP option only and could should see at least 20 minutes tonight. Evan Fournier and Nikola Vucevic have been carrying the scoring load for the Magic and are higher upside plays against the Nets tonight.

Jordan Hill (dental work) has been ruled out of tonight’s contest which opens the door for rookie Myles Turner to get back into the rotation. Turner has been out 6 weeks with a thumb injury and was cleared on Monday to resume full activities. If Turner is able to secure 15 minutes he should be able to return value on his near minimum salary on DK and FD.

Terrence Jones was a full practice participant today and seems to be on track to play tomorrow night against the Rockets. With Jones out on Tuesday night, Clint Capela saw a full workload and proceeded to post a double-double and finished with 36 FD points. Donatas Motiejunas also saw a bump in playing time, but it was Capela that proved to be the strongest value target at the PF position. With Jones expected back on Thursday, both he and Capela are nothing more than GPP plays.

Nerlens Noel and Jerami Grant will start tonight at the PF and C spots against the Kings, which means Jahlil Okafor and Carl Landry will both be coming off the bench tonight. Okafor has sat the last two games due to knee soreness, and the Noel-Ish Smith connection has been rolling in his absence, which may have something to do with why Okafor isn’t a starter tonight (it also of course could have to do with him being freshly off an injury). Noel remains a nice upside GPP target with Okafor coming off the bench, while Okafor is relegated to dart-throw GPP territory. Carl Landry isn’t playable tonight while Jerami Grant isn’t a recommended option either.

The Suns have announced that Ronnie Price is out for tonight’s game against the Spurs. Bryce Cotton will get some run as the backup point guard but he’s not a viable DFS option as the Suns take on the top ranked defensive team in all of basketball, the Spurs.

C.J. Miles questionable, Jordan Hill OUT, for tonight's Pacers game
The Pacers have announced that Jordan Hill will miss tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls due to dental work. C.J. Miles is also listed as questionable for the game. Ian Mahinmi should see an uptick in minutes due to Hill’s absence and is an excellent option against a Bulls team that struggles against bigs (24th in center DvP). Rodney Stuckey would probably the biggest beneficiary if Miles is unable to go.
