Lou Williams probable for Monday, no other Lakers on injury report
Williams is listed as probable with a sore left shoulder, and he’s the only member of the team on the injury report, indicating that Kobe Bryant will be a go tonight. It’s been a struggle for Williams over his past three games (he hasn’t exceeded 12 FD points), but his playing time has remained fairly consistent in games that have stayed competitive, so he’s an interesting GPP target as a bounce-back candidate. Williams isn’t a cash game option tonight given the nature of the slate, but he’s viable as an against-the-grain GPP play. The Lakers as a whole are best left alone tonight given that the whole team is healthy and the rotations are still fluctuating.

Terrence Jones doubtful for Tuesday
Jones missed Monday’s shootaround with an illness and is listed as doubtful for tomorrow’s tilt with the Hawks. With Jones likely to sit, Clint Capela’s value takes a spike, as he’ll very likely continue to start and should see an extra handful of minutes with Jones out of the lineup. Donatas Motiejunas will also benefit, but he’s a much riskier target, even on a short five-game slate tomorrow.

Barnes won’t be able to return Monday night against the Kings. His next shot to suit up will come Wednesday in Dallas – we’d consider him no better than questionable for that game. With Barnes out, Brandon Rush should draw another start, but he’s still not a viable DFS target. Andre Iguodala’s value takes a slight uptick with Leandro Barbosa also out of the lineup, as Iggy and Shaun Livingston should eat up those minutes.

Ronnie Price is expected to play tonight for the Suns in their game against the Cavaliers. He should see more playing time with Eric Bledsoe out with an injury but doesn’t produce enough (under .6 FanDuel fantasy points/minute over his last 5 games) to be a DFS consideration even at minimum price. He scored only 8 fantasy points his last game out despite playing 23 minutes.

John Henson questionable for tonight
Henson had ice on his right elbow after the team shootaround this morning after hurting it in a big fall against Toronto on Saturday. He stated that he hopes to play tonight and is considered questionable for the Bucks game against the Mavericks. Henson produces great when he plays, averaging well over a FanDuel fantasy point/minute but the problem is getting the minutes. He’s averaged just under 17 minutes a game over the Bucks last ten games. His price is low, however, and that keeps him in consideration as a punt play when needing to find value. With the injury worries, he’s probably best avoided tonight.

The Jazz forward missed shootaround and is considered questionable for tonight’s game. According to nbawowy, Gordon Hayward’s fantasy points/minute goes up nearly .2 pts/minute when Favors is not on the court with him so Hayward is an excellent option in GPP’s tonight against a 76’ers team that is second to last in SF DvP. Trevor Booker is another player who should benefit if Favors sits. We’ll update Favors status as we learn more.

Bayless made the trip with the Bucks for their game tonight against the Dallas Mavericks. He’s missed the last 11 games and is considered questionable for tonight. Michael Carter-Williams has been playing well since Bayless has been out with six outing of 37 or more FanDuel fantasy points in his last nine games. He’s also been averaging well over 30 minutes a game over that stretch and is a good GPP play against a Mavericks team that is middle of the pack in terms of PG defense (18th in PG DvP).

Kyrie Irving confirmed that he would miss tomorrow’s game but added it would be the last time he sat out a back-to-back. Irving has a juicy match up against the Suns tonight and if he can approach 30 minutes of playing time he’s in consideration for GPP’s. The Suns are 27th in the league in PG DvP and with Eric Bledsoe out for the Suns that figures to only get worse.

Okafor will miss his second straight game with a knee injury. He is expected to play on Wednesday. Jerami Grant started along with Nerlens Noel the last game Okafor missed and appears to be in line to do the same tonight. However, he’s not a viable DFS play as he simply doesn’t produce – even when given 20+ minutes. He’s put up a total of 73.4 FanDuel fantasy points his last six games over a total of 146 minutes. Noel has some value but it’s a very tough match up against the defensive-minded Jazz who are second in the league in fantasy points allowed to opposing teams.

The Hornets announced that Batum and Williams, two starters for their team, are both probable to play tonight against the Lakers. It’s a great match up for both as the Lakers are the worst team in the league in terms of fantasy points allowed per game including 21st against SF’s and 24th against PF’s.

The Heat announced that Tyler Johnson missed shootaround and is considered a game-time decision for their game against the Brooklyn Nets tonight. Johnson has missed the last five games and eight of the last nine and is not a DFS option at this point in time. Gerald Green will benefit most from Johnson’s absence but his price has risen to the point around the industry that he is not a good play for purposes of DFS.

Head Coach Erik Spoelstra stated that their big man missed shootaround today due to illness and is a game-time decision for their game against the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets are fourth worst in the league in center DvP so if Whiteside is able to go, it’s a great time to get him in your lineups. Udonis Haslem and/or Amare Stoudemire would see more playing time if Whiteside sits but neither are viable DFS options unless it’s clear one of them will get 30 minutes plus.

Sources have reported that the NBA will be suspending Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes two games for an off court incident with Knicks coach Derek Fisher. It’s uncertain who will step up to take Barnes place in the starting lineup but Zach Randolph or Tony Allen would seem to be the obvious choices. We’ll report back once more information is available.

The Mavericks have listed Williams as questionable for tonight’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Most in DFS hope he will sit this one out so they can get some more J.J. Barea fantasy goodness as Barea has been unbelievable value in his last two games with Williams out and would again be a top option if that were to happen tonight.

It was expected that both players would be out tonight, and they could be out for at least a couple more games. Kostas Papanikolaou will start again for Gallinari. He is a GPP punt play only; he is minimum price on FD. The last two games, he has averaged 20 FD points in 28 minutes. With Mudiay out, Jameer Nelson will start for him. He is not the safe play that he was a week ago. Last game, he played 21 minutes and only finished with 12 FD points. Will Barton remains the play with both Gallinari and Mudiay out.
