Hassan Whiteside to start on Friday
Hassan Whiteside is dealing with a sore ankle but will be starting tonight against the Pacers. Whiteside has been an extremely volatile player so he is a GPP target only. Indiana has a weak front line but the advantage goes more so to Chris Bosh. Whiteside will have to stay out of foul trouble to play extended minutes.

Warriors listed starters: Curry, Clark, Rush, Green and Bogut
Curry and Green are the elite plays here, with Ian Clark providing solid value as a punt play across the industry. He could end up seeing upwards of 30 minutes with the Warriors playing again tomorrow night.

Luol Deng will re-enter the starting lineup tonight after coming off of the bench in his first game back. That’ll push Gerald Green to the bench, making Green untargetable in DFS. Deng himself isn’t a strong DFS option as Green and Justice Winslow will still push him for minutes off the bench. There aren’t any truly elite plays on the Heat side tonight, but Chris Bosh is a very nice contrarian tournament option. Goran Dragic may also see a slight uptick in minutes with Tyler Johnson out.

The Wizards are still really thin in the front-court and will continue to rely on Marcin Gortat to play big minutes. The Polish Hammer is an elite target in all formats at his mid-range salary. He’s the only playable member of the front-court, while John Wall and Bradley Beal are both elite targets in the back-court. This game should feature plenty of fantasy goodness.

Ian Clark to start for injured Klay Thompson
The Warriors will start Ian Clark in place of the injured Klay Thompson and Leandro Barbosa will try to play after missing one game with an illness. Clark will be defended by Avery Bradley making him a risky punt option. With Thompson out, Steph Curry becomes an extremely elite target and should be able to dominate an undersized Isaiah Thomas.

The Warriors won’t push Thompson’s ankle tonight and will give him the night off. This is a big boost in value for new starter Ian Clark, who is a viable punt play in any format given his salary. Expect somewhere in the neighborhood of 25-30 minutes for Clark. It looks like Leandro Barbosa will try to play tonight and he’ll eat into Clark’s playing time, as will Andre Iguodala. Draymond Green and Stephen Curry are both elite plays against the Celtics tonight.

Hassan Whiteside will take the court against the Pacers on Friday. He does not appear to be at full strength, but the Heat are shorthanded tonight. Whiteside isn’t a recommended cash game target, but he does hold some GPP appeal even given the lack of 4th quarter minutes he’s been seeing of late. Indiana’s front-court isn’t as scary as it’s been in recent seasons. Chris Andersen now goes back to having no DFS value, as he would have likely drawn the start if Whiteside sat.
As reported by: Barry Jackson Rajon Rondo suspended for one game, to miss Tuesday
Rondo will not play in the Kings upcoming game with the Rockets, which makes Darren Collison an elite play on Tuesday. He’ll be a strong option in any format. There aren’t any other notable bumps in value as a result of Rondo sitting, as he’s more of a distributor rather than a scorer. Seth Curry will act as Collison’s backup.

Joffrey Lauvergne will be back in the lineup after missing one game with a stomach illness. Lauvergne had been the starting center for the Nuggets and should once again tonight. His return puts a damper on J.J. Hickson and Nikola Jokic’s value, and both should be avoided tonight against the Timberwolves. Lauvergne makes for an intriguing play but will have to match up against Karl Anthony-Towns which makes him hard to recommend.

Hunter will miss another game tonight against Golden State. This news doesn’t offer much in the way of DFS relevance, but it could lead to a few extra minutes for Evan Turner and Avery Bradley.
As reported by: Scott Souza Ryan Anderson out tonight with illness
Anderson will sit on Friday against the Wizards due to an illness. This opens up more court time for the likes of Dante Cunningham and potentially Alexis Ajinca if the Pelicans go big, but against a Wizards team that likes to play small, Anderson’s minutes will likely end up going to the combination of guards that have recently returned from injury. Tyreke Evans is a good bet for 32+ minutes, with Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, Norris Cole and Ish Smith all candidates to see somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 minutes. Anthony Davis and Evans are both elite plays tonight.
As reported by: Mason Ginsberg Iman Shumpert to make season debut tonight
Shumpert will make his season debut Friday night against the Magic. It’s unclear what type of minutes he’s expected to play, but we wouldn’t consider him a DFS option in his first game back. This does hurt the value of J.R. Smith, who had been playing upwards of 35 minutes in a nice chunk of the Cavaliers games up to this point in the year. Smith is only viable as a dart-throw GPP play, but is best avoided tonight. Jared Cunningham also takes a hit with Shumpert back.

Both Tyler Johnson and Josh McRoberts will sit out on Friday night. Johnson’s absence should lead to Goran Dragic’s minutes becoming much more secure, and Dragic has finally began to see his shot fall after a dreadful start to the year. He’s a viable punt play around $5K on both major sites, but he’s better used in tournaments. McRoberts’ absence doesn’t have much relevance, but with Hassan Whiteside also questionable, Chris Andersen may see a boatload of minutes in the front-court if it turns out Whiteside is also out.

Ariza has now been upgraded to questionable for Saturday’s game against the Lakers. It’s possible that the Rockets take it easy on Ariza considering the match-up, and if he sits out again, Corey Brewer would remain an elite value target. Brewer missed practice Friday for personal reasons, so it’s nothing that affects his health. We’ll have more information on the Rockets SF situation tomorrow.

Tony Wroten will take a seat tonight while Kendall Marshall draws the start at PG. Marshall will still be limited to the same 16-minute mark that Wroten was being held to, so he’s not a DFS option tonight. The 76ers are in a bad spot on the back-end of a B2B against a tough Pistons defense, so there isn’t any real reason to target any of them as core plays. Jahlil Okafor has some GPP appeal, as does Robert Covington and Nerlens Noel. All three have the ability to far outperform their salary, but the floor for all three is also very low. The Sixers will start Marshall, Canaan, Covington, Noel, and Okafor.
