Darrell Arthur out on Tuesday
Arthur’s absence wouldn’t typically be big news but with Joffrey Lauvergne also out, expect big minutes from Kenneth Faried and a nice bump in playing time for Nikola Jokic. Will Barton also benefits from this news and is now a stronger GPP play. He’d be an elite punt play if it turns out that he’s going to start.

Rubio starting Tuesday
As noted earlier, Ricky Rubio will be playing tonight but not his full compliment of minutes. With Rubio back in the starting lineup, Zach LaVine has no real value off the bench. The Timberwolves will try to end their 4-game losing streak tonight against the Heat in Miami. The T’Wolves are 4-1 on the road this season.

Thabo Sefolosha to play Tuesday, questionable Wednesday
Thabo Sefolosha will be in the lineup for the Hawks on Tuesday, but is questionable for the second night of a back-to-back. Sefolosha is a strong option off the bench and has been steadily providing production with an average of 18.7 FPs on DK. His $3,500 price on DK is a nice salary saver and he could exceed 5x value with Teague and Bazemore out tonight.

Jeremy Lamb is struggling with a shoulder injury but will be monitored in tonight’s game. Lamb’s salary has seen a steady climb and is now at a season-high of $4,600 on DK. While he is not totally a punt player, he still does have a nice upside. Jeremy Lin makes his first return to Madison Square Garden as a member of the Hornets. Lin is likely to have a bigger game, but both players will need to step up and play well with P.J. Hairston out. Also, look for Frank Kaminsky to get more minutes, Kaminsky didn’t play Sunday vs. Portland, 1st DNP-CD

With the Pelicans having the first game of their back-to-back at home, Holiday will play tonight and is very likely to sit tomorrow. Holiday will still be limited to somewhere between 15-20 minutes of court time, which makes Ish Smith unplayable, but Smith will be an elite value option tomorrow.

Garrett Temple will draw the start at SG Tuesday against the Bucks. This is good news on a night without much value at the SG spot, as Temple becomes playable in all formats. He’s priced at or near the minimum across the industry and while his upside is limited, he’s a safe bet for 25+ minutes and should be able to hit value with that type of playing time. John Wall and Otto Porter also benefit with Beal out, as does Gary Neal off the bench.

Ricky Rubio is expected to play Tuesday against the Heat, destroying any value Zach LaVine had. It is unclear how many minutes he will play, but none of the PGs for the Timberwolves are in play tonight due to the time share. Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony-Towns are really the only two options tonight, but both are secondary choices against a stingy Miami defense.

The Nets will go with the same starting 5, with Hollis-Jefferson starting on the wing. The Hawks are starting a big lineup with Milsap at SF, so Hollis-Jefferson will be tasked with guarding him. While he does not provide much in the offensive categories Hollis-Jefferson is a boom-or-bust option that needs peripherals to exceed value. With his worth severely tied to playing time, Hollis-Jefferson is a GPP option only.

With Hairston out, the Hornets will start both Cody Zeller and Marvin Williams. Williams is the stronger play of the two, but each should see upwards of 25 minutes in the starting lineup. Jeremy Lamb is also probable to play tonight, and he’s a solid bet to see at least 20 minutes of court time thanks to his productive play of late. On a night without many strong options at SG, he could be worth a look in tournaments. Williams and Zeller are GPP only options.

The Hawks are rolling out a very big starting five against Brooklyn, with Millsap starting at the 3 and both Horford and Splitter in the lineup. Splitter is still a very risky DFS play as he likely won’t see upwards of 20-22 minutes, but he’s worth a look in tournaments. Schroder and Millsap are the elite plays here, with Horford and Korver being more of secondary options that are better used in tournaments.

It doesn’t appear that any member of the Heat will sit on Tuesday, which means Dwyane Wade is good to go. The Heat are 8.5 point favorites at home against the T’Wolves and there aren’t really any “elite” DFS plays on this squad tonight. Hassan Whiteside, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade are all in play as tournament options, with Whiteside possessing the highest ceiling of the group. Tyler Johnson is also in play as a GPP punt with Mario Chalmers out of town and Beno Udrih still learning the ropes in Miami.

Mayo isn’t with the team right now, but may rejoin them in Cleveland. There is still no exact timetable for his return, so look for Jerryd Bayless and Greivis Vasquez to continue playing fairly big minutes until he returns. Khris Middleton’s minutes may also take a slight hit when Mayo is back in action.

Jerryd Bayless will start for Bucks tonight in Jabari Parker’s absence. Middleton to SF and Giannis to PF. The Bucks will try to play an uptempo game in Washington with Greg Monroe manning the middle. Kris Humpries can’t guard Antetokounmpo, so expect for him to have a dominating performance.

Derrick Rose is officially listed as doubtful for tomorrow night’s game in Phoenix. Assuming he sits, Aaron Brooks is likely to draw the start at PG, although there is a chance Fred Hoiberg could choose to start Kirk Hinrich to keep the second unit in tact. Jimmy Butler will be tasked with a little more ballhandling, and his upside rises without Rose in the lineup. Pau Gasol also benefits, as Rose is averaging almost 15 shot attempts per game, a number that Brooks and Hinrich likely won’t reach.

Schroeder will start at PG with Jeff Teague out of action, and that has led to plenty of fantasy goodness for Schroeder in the past. Last season, his usage rate ballooned to almost 30% (compared to 18.3% with Teague), something we can expect to continue this year with the Hawks roster being eerily similar to the 2014 squad. Schroeder is under $5K on both FanDuel and DraftKings, so don’t overthink it. Plug him into your cash games and go from there.
