Bradley Beal out Tuesday
Bradley Beal will not play in tonight’s contest against the Bucks. Garrett Temple started in his place on Saturday and had 18 points to go along with 3 rebounds. Temple makes for a great option tonight at a near minimum price on DraftKings ($3,200) and FanDuel ($3,500). The Wizards have not announced the starter, so look for that to be a game-time decision. Otto Porter also makes for an interesting play due to his solid across the board contributions. He will start opposite Giannis Antetokounmpo, but look for Antetokounmpo to play more minutes at PF with Jabari Parker out.

Kobe Bryant could play Friday
Kobe Bryant sat out the second game of the Lakers back-to-back set on Monday. After playing 35 minutes on Sunday, Bryant’s back and knees were a concern so the Lakers rested him. The Lakers host the Raptors on Friday and will need Bryant back to help carry the offensive burden. Brandon Knight just destroyed them by having his first career triple-double, so expect Kyle Lowry to be an elite DFS option from that game. Bryant will have Demarre Carroll guarding him, so another low FG% night is in order, making Bryant a risky GPP flyer in the late slate.

Emmanuel Mudiay and the Nuggets travel to New Orleans and face the Pelicans on Tuesday. Mudiay will be playing against a team that ranks as last in the league against PGs. Vegas has projected this game total to be 207.5, which is the same as the Warriors/Raptors game. The Raptors are a much better defensive team than the Pelicans, so expect there to be a ton of easy shots to go around for the Nuggets. Mudiay plays his second game of the season on two days rest, with his last appearance on two days rest netting 18 points, 5 assists, and 6 rebounds. He has the potential to have a triple-double tonight against the Pelicans, but can also go for the cripple-double and have 10 turnovers. Mudiay is a high-risk high-reward contrarian type of play tonight with his $6,100 salary, which 10th for PGs and 17th amongst guard on DraftKings
Bucks will be playing way up in pace on Tuesday
Per ESPN (Hollinger stats), the Wizards lead the NBA in pace with 104.1 possessions per 48 minutes, while the Bucks are dead last with just 94.6. Expect tonight’s game to fall somewhere around 100 possessions for each team, which gives a few extra possessions to the Bucks and takes a few away from the Wizards. Giannis Antetokoumpo and Greg Monroe are elite targets tonight against the Wizards, while John Wall and Otto Porter look like the two strongest plays on the Washington side.

Chris Paul hopeful for Thursday
Chris Paul is hopeful that he can recover by Thursday from his groin injury. The Clippers take on the Warriors on national TV, so expect Paul to be rested and play his best at home on Thursday. J.J. Redick is still questionable with a back injury and will likely be a game-time decision. Jamal Crawford played extremely well in the spot-start for Redick, and he will need to contribute heavily for the Clippers to have a shot at taking down the Champs.

Jahlil Okafor cut his tongue in Tuesday’s practice, but won’t need stitches and is probable to play tomorrow. Okafor has gotten off to a terrific start this year, regularly leading the Sixers in scoring. His rebounding is starting to come along slowly, but Nerlens Noel’s presence down low will eat into those numbers. Okafor remains a very solid target as long as he’s priced towards the mid-range of the center pool.

Livingston is dealing with a hip flexor and is officially listed as doubtful for tonight’s game with the Raptors. Leandro Barbosa is probably the biggest beneficiary in terms of minutes off the bench, with Andre Iguodala also a candidate to handle the ball more with the second unit. This of course goes without saying, but Stephen Curry is an elite option tonight.

With Kent Bazemore and Jeff Teague out, Dennis Schroeder and Tiago Splitter are listed as the replacement starters. It seems like a strange way to match up with the Nets who roll out an undersized PF in Thaddeus Young, but we’ll still need to confirm this news closer to lineup lock. Probable starters listed early in the day can tend to change. If Splitter does start, he’d be a potential GPP punt, but he’d still carry a ton of risk.

Markieff Morris and Ronnie Price both went through practice without issue today. Each played extended 3-on-3 after practice, and Hornacek said both are good to go moving forward. Jon Leuer will return to a bench role with Markieff Morris starting at the 4. Morris’ price on most DFS sites is still fairly low, so he’s an interesting upside tournament play tomorrow.

Redick wasn’t able to do much in practice today, but he was seen getting shots up and looks to be improving in terms of his health. Doc Rivers did say that he would hold Redick out if he wasn’t fully healthy, so we’d consider him questionable at best. If he’s unable to return Thursday, look for Jamal Crawford, Austin Rivers and Lance Stephenson to see a little more work.

His status wasn’t as in doubt compared to Draymond Green, but it’s nice to have early confirmation that he’ll play. Both Andre Iguodala and Harrison Barnes would have seen a decent sized bump in value without Thompson, but they’ll stick to their normal roles tonight.

Despite dealing with an illness, Draymond Green will play tonight against Toronto. He’s been on an absolute tear of late, scoring at least 54 FD points in each of his last two games, and has exceeded 40+ in three of his last four. While the illness does add some risk in terms of his playing time, Green is still very much in play as a tournament option given his immense ceiling.

Lauvergne had been ruled out of tonight’s game yesterday, and now he’s looking very doubtful for tomorrow’s tilt as well. It’s very possible that Lauvergne doesn’t return until after this coming weekend, as he doesn’t appear to have made a ton of progress to this point. In his absence, look for J.J. Hickson and Nikola Jokic to eat up the remaining minutes in the front-court, with Will Barton playing a bigger role when the Nuggets go small. Denver may need to stay big tonight against Anthony Davis and company, so this may be a game where Hickson sees a little extra run.

It’s looking like all three will play tonight against Toronto. The Warriors are somewhat of a tough team to target right now in DFS outside of Stephen Curry; Draymond Green has been on a tear lately, but it’s possible his illness holds him back a bit tonight. Klay Thompson has started the season slow and he’s also dealing with a minor back injury. Harrison Barnes and Andre Iguodala will benefit if it turns out any one (or more) of Green, Thompson and Barbosa can’t go.

Villaneuva missed practice today with a minor foot injury and his status for tomorrow’s game is uncertain. Check back in tomorrow for a more definitive answer as to whether he will suit up or not.
