Luke Kuechly, Kurt Coleman, and Mario Addison out for Panthers
Carolina’s defense is very banged up. Kuechly is leading the team in tackles (102), Coleman is third (67), and Addison leads the team in sacks (6.5). Their absence provides a much better matchup for Russell Wilson and Thomas Rawls. Carolina is second in the league in rushing yards per game (79.5), but with expected game flow (Seahwaks favored by seven at home), Carolina’s defensive injuries at all three levels, and Rawls’ expected workload, the Seattle running back makes for an interesting contrarian play. We’re projecting his ownership at 3.0% on FanDuel and 4.0% on DraftKings.

Mark Ingram returns to practice Friday
Ingram missed practice Wednesday and Thursday due to soreness in his toe. Although he said he felt good today, he was unsure whether he can play Sunday or not. It’s a great matchup if he can go; Detroit ranks 28th in rush DVOA, the game has a 53.5-point total, and the Saints are favored by six. He was excellent last week, picking up 167 yards and a touchdown. Surprisingly, Tim Hightower out-touched Ingram by a hair 17-16, but after his big day, Ingram should lead the duo in touches this week. Hightower would be a solid play if Ingram ends up being ruled out.

Mike Clay reported earlier that ESPN’s Adam Teicher told him that Maclin appeared to be a game away. However, the Chiefs listed him as questionable and it seems to be a real possibility that Maclin plays on Sunday after practicing all week. He isn’t a strong option himself, but he could take some targets from Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. Either way, both Kelce and Hill will be better options in the Chiefs’ passing game. Kelce has back-to-back games with at least seven receptions and 100 yards.

Mathieu (shoulder) will be a game time decision, although it doesn’t seem like he’ll be able to play against the Redskins. It’s a solid boost to Jamison Crowder in the slot. Pierre Garcon will also have a favorable matchup with Marcus Cooper (47.3 PFF grade), while DeSean Jackson will be stuck with Patrick Peterson’s shadow. Kirk Cousins has been on fire recently, averaging 369 yards and 2.2 touchdowns over the past five games. With Reed out, Garcon and Crowder should lead the team in targets; they’re both solid targets this week.

Eddie Royal is listed as questionable by the Bears to play this Sunday but local beat reporters feel it is unlikely to play. He’s a blip on the DFS radar, however, as Matt Barkley has clearly locked onto Marquess Wilson and Cameron Meredith as his primary options.

Tyrell Williams practices today; on track to play Sunday
After missing practice all week it appears that Williams will play on Sunday against Tampa Bay after taking part in practice today. Williams has emerged as a primary red zone target for Philip Rivers and is in play anytime he takes the field.

This is merely confirmation of what we’ve expected most of the week. Vernon Davis will get the start and is in consideration as a value TE – however, he does have one of the worst match ups in the league facing a Cardinals defense that is top 5 in TE DvP.

It’s been shaping up to be Paxton Lynch making his second career start for the Broncos all week as Siemian has yet to practice. The Broncos-Jaguars game is shaping up to be a defensive slugfest with both teams missing several key players due to injury. Lynch is not a viable DFS option and it’s a downgrade for the Broncos receivers.

Parker has missed practice all week with a back injury and appears unlikely to play this week against the Ravens. There have been rumblings that Leonte Carroo could see a much larger role and he’s worth a look as a value high upside, high risk option facing a tough Ravens defense.

It’s looking as if these two Bills WRs will not play as they have yet to practice this week. Sammy Watkins is in play, even if limited in snaps, and Marquise Goodwin (assuming he can go) also has some value with more targets likely coming his way. It’s also a boost to LeSean McCoy and Charles Clay who should have more passes thrown their way.

Updating our previous report – the Jaguars have confirmed that Chris Ivory and Allen Hurns are indeed out this week. Julius Thomas isn’t officially out but they have listed him as doubtful.

Philadelphia RB Ryan Mathews has been ruled out for their game this week against the Bengals leaving Darren Sproles and Wendell Smallwood to split the work. It’s a good spot but both have struggled to show any upside making them nothing more than GPP dart throws. Jordan Matthews is also questionable with an ankle injury that he struggled with in a limited practice session yesterday – if he can’t go, Dorial Green-Beckham would receive the biggest boost and he’d be worthy of consideration after coming off a 6 reception game on Monday Night.

The trio of Jaguars players have missed practice all week and appear unlikely to play Sunday when they host the Denver Broncos. Ben Koyack will likely get another start at TE in place of Thomas and is not a viable DFS option. Neither is Marqise Lee who has lately taken over the #2 WR spot for the Jaguars and whose role will be solidified if Hurns sits – he has to face a Broncos defense that is elite at stopping the pass. Ivory’s absence is at least somewhat relevant from a DFS perspective as the Broncos are near the bottom of the league in Run DVOA. However, T.J. Yeldon is banged up himself and split the workload with Denard Robinson last week so it’s hard to trust either given the likely time share.

Diggs (knee) will make his return tonight after missing the Vikings’ game on Thanksgiving. Dallas has struggled against the slot this season; even though Diggs may not be at full health, he should pick up plenty of targets and be able to produce fantasy points. Cornerback Terence Newman also makes his return for Minnesota. He’s earned an excellent 84.7 PFF grade this season. With Xavier Rhodes expected to shadow Dez Bryant, Newman will see a lot of Terrance Williams. Rhodes has allowed just 0.18 fantasy points per route defended, the fourth-best mark in the league, which sets up a tough matchup for Bryant.
