Knile Davis active for Chiefs, Bishop Sankey inactive
Davis will be Charcandrick West’s lone back up today. He’s not expected to get many touches though. West will be the Chiefs’ workhorse against Jacksonville, who rank 27th in rush DVOA, according to Football Outsiders.

Steve Smith expects to play Sunday
Smith told Aditi Kinkhabwala that he’ll play against the Steelers today. Given his injury, he’s a bit of a risk, but he’s always an exciting tournament receiver. Pittsburgh ranks 21st in pass DVOA, and they’ve struggled against the slot this year. His presence renders Kamar Aiken irrelevant in fantasy, and it’s a downgrade to Mike Wallace. While Smith was out, Wallace averaged 11 targets per game, but averaged seven in each game Smith played in full.

Darrius Heyward-Bey has jumped ahead of Wheaton in the depth chart. Sammie Coates and Eli Rogers are still expected to start in three-wide sets, so Heyward-Bey won’t have much fantasy value today.

Ben is still a game time decision, but he’s expected to play today. Having him in the lineup is a boost to the rest of the skill players. He hasn’t been great when playing in Baltimore the last two seasons though, he averaged 218.5 yards per game, 1.5 interceptions, and didn’t throw a touchdown in either contest. The Ravens are allowing just 220 passing yards per game, but they’re giving up two passing touchdowns each week. Le’Veon Bell may be the best option in the Steelers offense today. With Ben and DeAngelo Williams banged up they’ll give him a ton of work. He’s averaged 121.5 total yards per game over the two he’s played in Baltimore.

Las Vegas player props are live on the RotoGrinders’ Player Props page. At RB, Charcandrick West checks in with the seventh-highest rushing yardage prop at 72.5 yards. Vegas also sees Ezekiel Elliott as the top option with a yardage prop of 110.5. At WR, Vegas has absolutely no fear that Revis can shut down Jarvis Landry today. Landry’s receiving yardage prop is 77.5. They also project Stefon Diggs to have a strong game against Detroit. His yargade prop is 72.5. There are also plenty of other prop totals that jump out. Mark Ingram and Tim Hightower expected to split work Sunday
Hightower rushed for 102 yards against the Seahawks last week, earning him a larger role in the offense. Jason La Canfora is reporting that Ingram could keep the feature role if he plays well, but the Saints are more than happy to put Hightower on the field. It’s an incredible matchup as the 49ers have allowed a 100-yard rusher for six straight games. It’ll be hard to predict how this will play out exactly, but Ingram will start, and is still expected to see the majority of the work. Ingram will certainly be motivated, and he has a weak opponent. It’s very possible he gets a hot hand early and the Saints keep him in.

Ian Rapoport reported that Allen’s ankle is still banged up, but he’ll play through it. He’s a risky play at tight end with his injury. Unfortunately, having Allen and Moncrief both in the lineup really hurts Jack Doyle’s fantasy value. His target share will drop, and he isn’t a strong cash play. He’s still a viable tournament option as he’s a skilled receiver, gets red zone looks, and faces a banged up secondary today.

Hyde is dealing with a sprained AC joint in his shoulder, which will prevent him from suiting up today. The 49ers’ staff has been really high on DuJuan Harris; they like his ability to run and catch. He’ll get the start today in an excellent matchup with the Saints, who have allowed a league-high 12 rushing touchdowns. Despite Mike Davis starting against Tampa Bay last game, Harris out-touched him 13-7. San Francisco is still expected to use a committee against New Orleans, so Harris isn’t safe enough for cash. However, if he gets the hot hand he could get a ton of touches against a bad opponent, which puts him in play for tournaments.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Randall Cobb’s chances of playing this afternoon are not looking good. Cobb missed last week with a hamstring injury. The Packers WRs have a elite matchup this week. TY Montgomery is expected to see the bulk of the work at RB against a Colts defense that is terrible against pass-catching RBs. Meanwhille, Davante Adams should see plenty of targets with Vontae Davis expected to shadow Jordy Nelson.

We won’t know for sure before 1:00 PM but the Titans have indicated that they expect DeMarco Murray to play this afternoon versus the Chargers. If Murray were to sit, Derrick Henry would make sense as a tournament pivot off Charcandrick West. As things stand now, with Murray expected to play, Henry isn’t a good option. As far as paying for the high-price Murray, he’s an interesting option against San Diego. The Chargers have allowed a league-high 66 receptions and 501 receiving yards to RBs. The dual-threat Murray should be able to take advantage of the Chargers both on the ground and through the air.

Sunday Night’s contest between the Broncos and Raiders just became a little bit more interesting. The Broncos were already without Aqib Talib. They’ll also have to play without Kayvon Webster. This is a slight upgrade for both Amari Cooper and Micahel Crabtree. Mostly though, it’s a downgrade to anyone considering the Denver defense.

This is good for Shady McCoy as the Seahawks often utilize Chancellor to defend the run. Seattle has allowed a 100-yard rusher in consecutive weeks; David Johnson ran for 113 yards in Week 7 and Tim Hightower picked up 102 last game. Both backs were held to under 4.0 yards per carry, but given enough volume to cross the century mark. We can expect a similar game plan from the Bills; they’re depleted at receiver, which means they’re going to give McCoy as much work as he can handle. Fortunately, his hamstring seems to be doing much better.

He’s expected to shadow Jordy Nelson when the Colts visit Green Bay this weekend. It will certainly make for a tougher day, but Nelson had a monster game a week ago against Desmond Trufant. Still, it opens up more opportunities for Davante Adams. If Randall Cobb ends up sitting, it will be a boost to both receivers and to Ty Montgomery, who will pick up plenty of opportunities out of the backfield. It’s a really nice game to target these three players and Aaron Rodgers. Indianapolis has a very bad defense, ranking 29th in pass DVOA, according to Football Outsiders.

McCluster fractured his forearm during a “household incident involving the movement of luggage.” He’s headed to the non-football injury list, and will miss the rest of the year. San Diego promoted Isaiah Bruce from the practice squad; he’s a wide receiver and kick returner. Nothing will really change from a fantasy perspective. Kenneth Farrow will continue to back up Melvin Gordon at running back. Farrow has only rushed the ball 11 times for 43 yards this season, and he hasn’t had a game with more than four carries. He hasn’t caught a ball all season. McCluster took some passing snaps, so Gordon should pick those back up right away. Gordon will continue to get a heavy workload, he’s a virtual lock for more than 20 touches every week.
