Darius Butler active, Patrick Robinson inactive against Texans

Butler will cover Braxton Miller in the slot. With Robinson out, Rashaan Melvin is expected to start, which is good for Will Fuller. Colts beat writer Zak Keefer believes that Vontae Davis will cover DeAndre Hopkins “a lot” tonight.

The Texans have officially designated Will Fuller active for Sunday Night’s game versus the Colts.

Ezekiel Elliott

Los Angeles Chargers
10/16/16, 3:53 PM ET

Lance Dunbar inactive against Packers

This is good for Ezekiel Elliott as Dunbar takes his passing down work when in the lineup. Last week, Zeke had a career-high three receptions for 37 yards with Dunbar sidelined. There’s a good chance he could match or beat those numbers today as the Cowboys may need to throw more than normal. The Packers have had the best run defense this season, allowing just 2.0 yards per carry.

Eddie Lacy

Seattle Seahawks
10/16/16, 3:37 PM ET

Eddie Lacy active against Cowboys

With James Starks out, he’ll be in for a big workload today. Lacy’s ankle is hurt though, which is cause for concern. Randall Cobb will back Lacy up, and looks like a strong play. In addition to his snaps at running back, Cobb should get plenty of targets; he has plus matchup in the slot with rookie Anthony Brown.

Dez Bryant

Baltimore Ravens
10/16/16, 3:31 PM ET

Dez Bryant inactive against Packers

This isn’t a surprise even though Dez said he wanted to play. The Cowboys have a bye next week, so it makes sense for them to sit him one more game and let him rehab through their week off. Brice Butler is worth consideration in tournaments. He has 7 receptions, 61 yards, and a touchdown over the past two games. He’ll face a Green Bay defense that ranks 19th in pass DVOA, per Football Outsiders.

Kam Chancellor inactive against Falcons

Chancellor is dealing with a groin injury, he’s week-to-week. His absence is an upgrade to the Falcon’s rushing game in addition to the pass as Chancellor is utilized as a hard-hitting run stopper when backs hit the second level.

Clive Walford

Miami Dolphins
10/16/16, 2:58 PM ET

Clive Walford active against Chiefs

Walford isn’t a great option today. The Chiefs are allowing just 4.1 receptions and 31 yards per game to tight ends (Walford averages 3.25 catches and 31.25 yards). Carr will target Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree, and the backfield more than his tight end.

Will Fuller

Miami Dolphins

Will Fuller not out per Jay Glazer

The Texans are not counting Fuller out. Per Glazer, he’ll play as long as his hamstring doesn’t tighten up.

Rashad Jennings

New York Giants
10/16/16, 12:53 PM ET

Giants expected to use running back committee

Rashad Jennings is expected to start in his first game back after injuring his hand, but beat writers are expecting Orleans Darkwa and Bobby Rainey to cut into his workload. It’s a situation to avoid as the Ravens rank 1st in rush DVOA according to Football Outsiders.

Jaelen Strong

Cleveland Browns
10/16/16, 12:44 PM ET

Jaelen Strong is an intriguing value play with Fuller out

With Will Fuller unlikely to play Sunday Night Jaelen Strong becomes an interesting option. Strong tied for a team-high nine targets last week. He’s available for $3000 on DraftKings and $4600 on FanDuel.

Jonathan Stewart

New York Giants
10/16/16, 12:37 PM ET

Jonathan Stewart active, Cameron Artis-Payne a healthy scratch

Artis-Payne getting scratched from the lineup today is a good sign for Stewart, as it indicates the Panthers are completely confident in Stewart’s health. He had been dealing with a hamstring injury, which has kept him off the field since Week 2. In his last matchup with the Saints, Stewart rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries and picked up another 31 yards through the air on three receptions. He should get a solid workload today as well.

Vernon Davis

Washington Commanders
10/16/16, 12:04 PM ET

Vernon Davis will start in place of Jordan Reed

Vernon Davs is expected to start at TE in place of Jordan Reed. The Eagles only allow 11.81 points per game to TE. Davis isn’t really a consideration for cash games.

DeSean Jackson

Baltimore Ravens
10/16/16, 12:08 PM ET

Leodis McKelvin officially inactive

This is an upgrade for DeSean Jackson. McKelvin was the Eagles’ highest graded corner by far with a 76.4 score from Pro Football Focus. Now that he’s been ruled out, the Eagles will rely on back up Jalen Mills and Ron Brooks (48.5) to defend the Redskins’ number one receiver. With Jordan Reed out for the Redskins, Jackson was already in line for some more targets. His plus should boost his workload further. However, Jackson is still a boom-or-bust player and is best suited for tournaments.

Eli Apple inactive, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will play

Leon Hall will take over in the slot with Apple sidelined. He’s done pretty well this season, earning a 77 from Pro Football Focus, but has a small sample size. With Janoris Jenkins on Mike Wallace, it could be a nice time to fire up Kamar Aiken. Aiken will be the Ravens’ slot receiver today with Steve Smith out.

Dez Bryant

Baltimore Ravens
10/16/16, 11:56 AM ET

Dez Bryant not expected to be active

Per ESPN’s Ed Werder, Dez Bryant is not expected to be active today. Sources tell Werder the Cowboys wanted to see Bryant’s knee hold up during a week of practice. They aren’t comfortable that he’s ready to go at this point. As long as Bryant is inactive Cole Beasley can still be used as a value play.
