Marshawn Lynch may be able to return in Week 17
We’ll need to see how the practice week unfolds for Lynch, but if he’s able to get in even limited sessions later in the week, he’d likely be cleared to play. It’s still unclear if he’d be limited or what type of workload he might receive, but this would be a good chance for the Seahawks to let Lynch work some of the rust off before Wild Card Weekend. Bryce Brown and Christine Michael have seen most of the work since Thomas Rawls went down, and the duo has been relatively underwhelming. Lynch’s status should become more clear as his week of practice shakes out. He’d be a GPP-only candidate if he’s cleared to play.
As reported by: @SeahawksMarcel Reece suspended four games, could lead to bigger workload for Latavius Murray
With the Chiefs possibly resting starters in Week 17 (they now have no chance to win the AFC West with the Broncos winning last night), Latavius Murray may have some sneaky value against a Chiefs defense that has been stingy against the run this season (with the starters playing, of course). Marcel Reece is now out of the picture and neither Taiwan Jones or Jamize Olawale will push him for carries – Murray is the only Raiders back to receive a carry in the last two weeks. Again, Murray’s value is somewhat dependent on the presence of the Chiefs defensive starters, but if some of them are held out, he becomes a really nice against-the-grain tournament play.

An MRI on AJ McCarron’s injured wrist revealed a strain – nothing serious enough to keep him playing from the teams Week 17 game against the Baltimore Ravens. We’ll keep you updated if anything changes over the course of the week.
As reported by: Albert Breer on TwitterDez Bryant's status uncertain for Week 17
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that they were going to wait and see regarding their star WR playing this week and added that it was a medical decision. Regardless of whether he plays or not, Bryant or any Cowboy WR is not a viable DFS target as the Cowboys passing game is anemic without Tony Romo at QB.
As reported by: Jon Machota on TwitterBrian Hoyer in last phase of concussion protocol
It looks like Brian Hoyer has a shot to return in Week 17 now that he’s made it to the last phase of the concussion protocol. We won’t know more until Wednesday, but we’d consider him questionable at this point with Brandon Weeden drawing another start if he can’t go. Weeden had his fair share of success against the Titans this week but he’d only be a dart-throw GPP play at best even in a nice match-up with the Jaguars secondary. DeAndre Hopkins is a nice target regardless of who starts at QB, and Nate Washington also remains a sneaky tournament play with Cecil Shorts on the shelf. Washington has fared much better when he’s not fighting with Shorts for work.
As reported by: Aaron Wilson Other tagged players: Brandon WeedenBroncos are now 'Brock Osweiler's team'
Per Jay Glazer, Brock Osweiler will be the Broncos starting QB barring a major collapse. This would seemingly also carry over to the playoffs, and that’s not really a big surprise given that Peyton Manning doesn’t appear to be fully healthy at this point and the HGH rumors can’t make the Broncos any more likely to give him another shot. Osweiler has really struggled in the 2nd halves of games this year and has generally regressed in recent weeks, so he won’t be a recommended DFS option in Week 17 or in the playoffs. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders are still viable GPP targets given that they eat up the large majority of Osweiler’s targets.
As reported by: Jay Glazer Other tagged players: Peyton ManningStephen Morris likely to start at QB for Colts in Week 17
With Matt Hasselbeck doubtful and Charlie Whitehurst now on IR, it’s looking like Stephen Morris will draw the start at QB in Week 17. The Colts aren’t officially eliminated from the playoffs yet, but Chuck Pagano stated that he’s not sure if he’d even use Andrew Luck if he were cleared to play (which is unlikely). Without any depth behind Stephen Morris, the Colts have also brought in Josh Freeman for workouts, and it’s possible he could sign with the team later this week. Morris isn’t going to be a recommended DFS option even with a plum Week 17 spot at home against the Titans, and the entire Colts offense remains tough to target with any confidence.
As reported by: Bob KravitzZach Ertz leading all pass-catchers in targets (18) in Week 16
If Vegas set odds for which WR/TE would lead the week in targets, Ertz may not have even been on the board. After seeing 13 targets last week against Arizona – which he turned into 8-78-1 – Ertz followed that up with 18 targets on Saturday night. He racked up 13 catches for 122 yards in the process, but unfortunately did not hit paydirt despite a massive workload. It’s still fair to wonder if Ertz’s workload is fluky given that the Eagles have been playing catch-up for most of the past two weeks, but without any strong options at WR, it makes sense for the Eagles to try to involve Ertz more as time goes on. He’s got the most long-term upside of any pass-catcher on the team and it’s certainly possible that they feature him in the game-plan against the Giants in Week 17. The Giants are a plus match-up for TEs, and they’ve allowed productive games to Greg Olsen and Kyle Rudolph over the past two games.
Charles Clay expected to miss Bills final game of season
He’s missed the last two games and Head Coach Rex Ryan does not expect him to play this week either against the Jets. Backup Chris Gragg is not a viable DFS option. Sammy Watkins should see an extra handful of targets with both Clay and Robert Woods out of action.
As reported by: Joe Buscaglia on TwitterFozzy Whittaker out for Week 17
Sources state that Whittaker suffered a high ankle sprain and will sit out the Panthers last regular season game. Cameron Artis-Payne should get the start in what will be a moderately tough match up against a stingy Buccaneers run defense. He’s definitely in consideration as a GPP play, however, due to projected work load and price.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport on TwitterAdrian Peterson active tonight vs. Giants
Adrian Peterson (ankle) is officially active for the Vikings’ Week 16 match up against the Giants on Sunday Night Football. The New York Giants will come into Minnesota tonight ranked #22 vs. RB’s in DvP ranking. Peterson was listed as probable after returning to practice on Friday. With the Falcons winning and Panthers losing earlier and the Seahawks looking likely to lose (down 23-10 in the 4th), Minnesota can clinch a playoff birth with a win tonight at home. Tonight’s game having playoff and seeding implications should keep Peterson owners from worrying about reports that surfaced earlier which intimated that Peterson may be in for a reduced workload if tonight’s game did not have any meaning for the Vikings.
As reported by: Eric EdholmYeldon, Colston & Spiller inactive / Brees, Watson & Ellington active
As expected, T.J. Yeldon will miss the Week 16 match up against the Saints this afternoon. In what could be a shootout, Denard Robinson will function as the Jaguars’ lead back. The Saints come into this game ranked #28 against the RB in DvP rankings. As reported earlier, Coston and C.J. Spiller will both be inactive for the Saints with Colston nursing a chest injury and Spiller as a healthy scratch. Brees will be active and starting and will have three of his top offensive weapons in Cooks, Snead and Benjamin Watson (knee) who is active for this Week 16 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Earlier on in the week, Cardinals’ coach Bruce Arians told us Andre Ellington would be “good to go” against the Packers this week and he will operate as a change-of-pace option and will handle some carries behind starter David Johnson. The Cardinals’ running game has been on fire lately and will be matched up against the Packers who come in ranked #10 vs. RB’s in DvP rankings.

As reported by: Official Actives/Inactives Other tagged players: Denard RobinsonAndre Ellington active for Week 16
Andre Ellington was expected to play today when the Cardinals host the Green Bay Packers. Ellington will be in line for a change-of-pace role behind David Johnson who has entrenched himself as the starter. Green Bay comes in at #10 in DvP rankings against RB’s, though the Cardinals have run the ball very well lately. In Green Bay’s last 2 games, they have given up 78 yards to Latavius Murray in Week 15 and 111 yards to Darren McFadden in Week 14. David Johnson comes into this Week 16 match up with the Packers as a locked-in RB1 even with Andre Ellington’s return.
As reported by: Kent Somers Other tagged players: David JohnsonDoug Baldwin officially active Week 16
Doug Baldwin was expected to play barring any unforeseen last-minute setbacks during pre-game warm-ups. Doug Baldwin, who runs almost all of his routes out of the slot, will go up against Rams’ corner Lamarcus Joyner who is PFF’s T-57th ranked in coverage. The Rams are ranked #5 against WR’s in DvP and #5 against QB’s, though both Doug Baldwin and Russell Wilson have been nearly unstoppable lately. Baldwin’s targets dropped to 6 last week in a game against the Browns that was never in question after getting 8, 7 and 9 targets in the previous 3 weeks. Baldwin owners will again have concerns about the Rams not keeping this game close, however, Baldwin was been incredibly efficient with 10 touchdowns on 30 targets the past 4 weeks.
