DEN RB Javonte Williams DNP Thursday but is expected to play this Sunday
Javonte Williams logged a DNP Thursday but is expected to play this Sunday according to HC Vic Fangio. Williams is dealing with a hip injury but should be able to suit up and play against the Cincinnati Bengals. If he were to be limited a bit Melvin Gordon could see some extra work but both backs would still limit the other’s upside. Tomorrow’s injury report should shed some more light on Williams’s availability.
As reported by: Mike KlisBAL QB Lamar Jackson, WR Marquise Brown, TE Nick Boyle, and FB Patrick Ricard DNP Thursday
Lamar Jackson, Marquise Brown, Nick Boyle, and Patrick Ricard all logged DNP Thursday. Lamar Jackson is currently considered day-to-day with an ankle injury. If he were to miss, Tyler Huntley would draw the start and could be considered as a value option at quarterback in DFS contests. Marquise Brown missed practice with an illness and at this time it is not expected to be serious but it will be something to keep an eye on. Patrick Ricard is still working his way back from injury, if he were unable to suit up this weekend the Ravens would likely forego a fullback. Nick Boyle is expected to serve as tight end depth and his absence would not be DFS relevant.

Aaron Jones, Equanimeous St. Brown, and Dominique Dafney all logged DNPs Thursday ahead of the Packers matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. The new addition to the report is Jones, who if ruled out would have slate changing ramifications. Austin Dillon would instantly become one of the top plays on the slate and would need to be considered in all lineups. St. Brown is not expected to play a major role this weekend. If he were to be ruled out, his snaps would likely be split between Amari Rodgers and Juwann Winfree, though neither would be DFS relevant. Dafney is also not expected to play a major role as the third tight end behind Josiah Deguara and Marcedes Lewis. His absence would not impact DFS players.

David Montgomery, Khalil Herbert, Marquise Goodwin, Jakeem Grant, Cole Kmet, and Jesper Horsted DNP Thursday ahead of the Bears Monday night matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. It is still early in the week and the Gears will have an extra day to get healthy with most members of this list dealing with non-COVID illnesses. If Montgomery and Herbert were unable to suit up Damien Williams would be the lead back by default and would be a tremendous value option on the showdown slate. If Goodwin and/or Grant were unable to suit up Darnell Mooney would continue as the top receiver for the Bears with Damiere Byrd opposite him. If Cole Kmet were unable to suit up Jimmy Graham would likely see the bulk of the tight end snaps. It will be important to see how these players progress on the practice report in the coming days.

As reported by: Adam CaplanTBB RB Leonard Fournette DNP Thursday
Leonard Fournette logged a DNP Thursday ahead of the Buccaneers matchup with the New Orleans Saints. Coach Arians said the Fournette is a little sore but believes at this time he should be able to play this weekend. If Fournette were to be limited, Ronald Jones would play a larger role in the offense with Ke’Shawn Vaughn also available to mix in. Fournette would be one of the better plays on the slate if he were healthy in a game that Tampa Bay is expected to be leading. It will be important to check Fournette’s practice status as the week progresses to ensure his availability this weekend.
As reported by: Kat TerrellCHI WR Allen Robinson, TE Jesse James, RB Ryan Nall, and WR Isaiah Coulter placed on COVID list
Allen Robinson, Jesse James, Ryan Nall, and Isaiah Coulter have all been placed on the COVID list ahead of their Monday night matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. With Robinson likely out Darnell Mooney will be the top receiver for the Bears and will need to be considered as on of the better options on the showdown slate. With Jesse James likely unavailable, the bulk of the tight end snaps should be handled by Cole Kmet and Jimmy Graham. Ryan Nall would only be used as an emergency running back so his potential absence is not DFS relevant at this time. Isaiah Coulter would have served as receiver depth so his absence also would not be DFS relevant.

Lil’Jordan Humphrey has returned to practice Thursday ahead of the Saints matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Humphrey seems to be trending in the right direction to make his return after missing just one game. Humphrey should slot back in as the number three receiver behind Tre’Quan Smith and Marquez Callaway.
As reported by: Kat TerrellARI RB James Conner DNP Thursday
James Conner logged a DNP Thursday ahead of the Cardinals matchup with the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Conner is considered day-to-day by HC Kliff Kingsbury so his absence early in the week is not surprising. If Conner were unable to suit up this weekend, Chase Edmonds (likely to be activated from IR) would lead the Arizona backfield with Eno Benjamin and Jonathan Ward available to back him up. Edmonds would need to be considered in most lineups based on expected volume in a good matchup where the Cardinals are favored by 13 points, at the time of writing.
As reported by: Darren UrbanDET RB D'Andre Swift DNP Thursday
D’Andre Swift logged a DNP Thursday ahead of Detroit’s matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. Earlier in the week HC Dan Campbell said he was “hopeful” both players would suit up this week but considers them day-to-day. If Swift is unable to return it would be Jamaal Williams (if activated from the COVID list) leading the backfield with Jermar Jefferson, Godwin Igwebuike, and Craig Reynolds (if elevated from the practice squad) available to back him up. Williams could be considered in most formats due to expected volume.
As reported by: Detroit LionsBUF WR Emmanuel Sander and RB Taiwan Jones DNP Thursday
Emmanuel Sander and Taiwan Jones logged DNPs Thursday ahead of the Bills matchup with the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Sanders is not expected to be able to play this weekend which likely means more targets will go to Gabriel Davis and Cole Beasley making them stronger plays. If Taiwan Jones were to be unable to suit up this weekend Zack Moss (who has been a healthy scratch two of the last three weeks) should be active and serve as the third back for the Bills

As reported by: Cameron WolfeLVR TE Darren Waller ruled out for Saturday
Darren Waller has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. With Waller once again forced to miss Saturday, Foster Moreau will be the primary tight end for the Raiders. Last game Moreau caught three of his six targets for 13 yards in an underwhelming performance. Moreau will once again be considered a value option at the position but he does come with some risk.
As reported by: Paul GutierrezDAL RB Tony Pollard returned to practice Thursday
Tony Pollard returned to practice Thursday ahead of the Cowboys matchup with the New York Giants. It seems as though Pollard is trending in the right direction to make his return this weekend after missing last week. Pollard would return to his role backing up Ezekiel Elliott limiting both of their upsides.
As reported by: Adam CaplanNYG RB Saquon Barkley returned to practice Thursday
Saquon Barkley has returned to practice Thursday ahead of the Giants matchup with the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday. Barkley took an extra day off for maintenance of his ankle injury but should be ready to go by this weekend. As long as Mike Glennon continues to lead the Giants offense Barkley is the only member worth trusting in DFS contests.
