Zack Moss

Cincinnati Bengals
12/12/21, 3:38 PM ET

BUF RB Zack Moss inactive Sunday

Zack Moss will be inactive for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bills will elect to use Devin Singletary and Matt Breida in the backfield against the Bucs and their stout run defense. Both Breida and Singletary should see work but their split will limit each other’s upside. It is likely best to target other running backs if possible.

Collin Johnson

Las Vegas Raiders
12/12/21, 3:34 PM ET

NYG WR Collin Johnson inactive Sunday

Collin Johnson will be inactive for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. With both Kenny Golladay and Sterling Shepard being cleared to play there was no reason for Johnson to be active. Johnson’s absence is not expected to be DFS relevant.

T.J. Hockenson

Minnesota Vikings
12/12/21, 3:27 PM ET

DET TE T.J. Hockenson officially inactive for Sunday

As expected, T.J. Hockenson is officially inactive for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. With Hockenson ruled out, Brock Wright will be the primary tight end with Shane Zylstra (who was elevated yesterday) available to back him up. Wright can be considered in DFS contests as a value option.

Melvin Gordon

Baltimore Ravens
12/12/21, 3:23 PM ET

DEN RB Melvin Gordon officially active Sunday

As expected, Melvin Gordon is officially active for Sunday’s game against the Detroit lions. Despite Javonte Williams monster performance as the featured back this past weekend against the Chiefs, Gordon will likely return to his normal role and split the backfield with Williams. This split will hurt both backs’ values and ceilings.

Shi Smith

Kansas City Chiefs
12/12/21, 12:46 PM ET

CAR WR Shi Smith inactive Sunday

Shi Smith has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. This was not surpising due to the fact that earlier in the week HC Matt Rhule said he was going to give Terrace Marshall some playing time against the Falcons. Smith and Marshall play the same role in the Carolina offense (WR4), so Marshall is not expected to be DFS relevant at this time.

Dez Fitzpatrick

Los Angeles Chargers
12/12/21, 12:41 PM ET

TEN WR Dez Fitzpatrick inactive Sunday

Dez Fitzpatrick has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. With the return of Julio Jones and a lesser extent Racey McMath the Titans are starting to replenish their receiving corps. These returns took away the need for Fitzpatrick in the offense. The Titans main receiving corps should consist of Julio Jones, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, and Chester Rogers, though only Jones offers any real DFS value.

Nick Boyle

Baltimore Ravens
12/12/21, 12:36 PM ET

BAL TE Nick Boyle and FB Patrick Ricard inactive Sunday

Nick Boyle and Patrick Ricard have both been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Both Boyle and Ricard were not expected to have major roles this weekend so their absences are not expected to be DFS relevant. With Boyle out, Josh Oliver and Eric Tomlinson will back up Mark Andrews. With Ricard out, the Ravens will likely forego a fullback.

Lil'Jordan Humphrey

Denver Broncos
12/12/21, 12:33 PM ET

NOS WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey inactive Sunday

Lil’Jordan Humphrey has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. Humphrey was expected to serve as the number three receiver for the Saints but will be unable to suit up due to an injury he suffered in practice earlier this week. All Saints receivers will see a slight bump but this game should be all about Taysom Hill and Alvin Kamara rushing the ball against the porous Jets run defense.

David Johnson

New Orleans Saints
12/12/21, 12:30 PM ET

HOU RB David Johnson placed on COVID list; WR Chris Moore inactive Sunday

David Johnson has been placed on the COVID list and Chris Moore has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks. With Johnson out the Texans will only have two backs available to split touches, Rex Burkhead and Royce Freeman. Burkhead should see the bulk of the work and can be considered a as a value option for today’s slate.

Tony Pollard

Tennessee Titans
12/12/21, 11:23 AM ET

DAL RB Tony Pollard out Sunday per Ian Rapoport

Tony Pollard will be out Sunday against the Washington Football Team per Ian Rapoport. Pollard was trying to play but team officials decided it was better for Pollard’s long term health to sit today out. In his absence, Ezekiel Elliot will play an even bigger role in the Dallas backfield becoming a better play and Corey Clement and JaQuan Hardy will be available to back him up. Corey Clement figures to see the bulk of the backup work but does not project to be a good DFS play.

Tony Pollard

Tennessee Titans
12/12/21, 8:50 AM ET

DAL RB Tony Pollard has "chance to play" Sunday but "there isn't a lot of optimism for it"

Tony Pollard has “chance to play” Sunday against the Washington Football Team but “there isn’t a lot of optimism for it” according to Ian Rapoport. Pollard seems to be trying to convince Dallas officials that he is ready to go, and they will give him a chance to prove he is prior to the game but they might decide to take a more long term approach to his health. If Pollard were to be ruled out Ezekiel Elliot would play an even bigger role in the Dallas backfield becoming a better play, with Corey Clement and JaQuan Hardy available to back him up.

Joe Mixon

Houston Texans
12/12/21, 8:37 AM ET

CIN RB Joe Mixon and WR Tee Higgins both expected to play Sunday

Joe Mixon and Tee Higgins are both expected to play Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. Mixon has been dealing with an illness all week but should be able to suit up today and play his normal role in the Cincinnati offense. If he were to be limited in any way, Samaje Perine is available and would see the bulk of the snaps Mixon was forced to miss. Higgins is also expected to play and should continue in his normal role as one of the top wideouts for the Bengals. If he were to be limited it could mean a few more targets for Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd strengthening their value.

Deebo Samuel

Washington Commanders
12/12/21, 8:31 AM ET

SFO WR Deebo Samuel expected to play Sunday

Deebo Samuel is expected to play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals but might need to clear a pregame warmup. Samuel should be able to suit up today and continue to play an important role in the San Francisco offense. Samuel will likely get some work out of the backfield with Elijah Mitchell ruled out in addition to his snaps as a wide receiver. Samuel can be considered in most GPPs but could have his upside limited if HC Kyle Shanahan decides to take it easy on Deebo in his return after a one week absence.

Kenny Golladay

New York Giants
12/12/21, 8:26 AM ET

NYG WR Kenny Golladay and WR Sterling Shepard both expected to play Sunday

Kenny Golladay and Sterling Shepard are both expected to play Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. As reported earlier in the week, both Shepard and Golladay have been trending in the right direction and should lead the Giants receiving corps this Sunday without Kadarius Toney. It is still difficult to trust either of them in DFS contests however, due to Mike Glennon getting the start at quarterback. Glennon struggled last weekend against the Miami Dolphins completing just 23 of 44 passes for 187 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.

JD McKissic

Washington Commanders
12/12/21, 8:09 AM ET

WAS RB J.D. McKissic (concussion) not expected to play Sunday; WR Curtis Samuel expected to play

J.D. McKissic (concussion) is not expected to play Sunday, while Curtis Samuel is expected to play against the Dallas Cowboys. With Gibson out it will likely be another day of Antonio Gibson seeing the majority of the backfield work. Last week, given a similar opportunity he didn’t disappoint with 23 carries for 88 yards and 5 receptions for 23 yards and a touchdown. Gibson will once again need to be considered in most formats as he should be one of the better plays of the slate. Curtis Samuel is expected to play and should remain in his role as wide receiver three for Washington. Samuel likely should only be considered as part of a DAL/WAS game stack.
