HOU RB David Johnson inactive Sunday
As expected, David Johnson has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Johnson is still suffering ill effects of the illness that went through the Texans locker room and will be unable to suit up. In his stead Rex Burkhead should lead the backfield with Royce Freeman and the newly elevated Jaylen Samuels available to mix in. Burkhead can be considered as a value play but there are better options in better matchups elsewhere on the slate.
As reported by: Houston Texans PRCIN RB Chris Evans and WR Mike Thomas inactive Sunday
As expected after being listed as doubtful on the injury report, Chris Evans and Mike Thomas have been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Trayveon Williams will take Evans’s role as the third back in the Cincinnati backfield. Thomas would have served as receiver depth. Neither player’s absence should have an effect on today’s game which projects to be one of the top targets for DFS players.
As reported by: Marisa Contipelli Other tagged players: Mike ThomasNYJ TE Trevon Wesco inactive Sunday
As expected after being listed as doubtful on the injury report, Trevon Wesco has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Ryan Griffin will be the primary tight end with Kenny Yeboah and Dan Brown available to back him up. None of these players are DFS relevant at this time.
As reported by: Rich CiminiCHI WR Allen Robinson inactive Sunday
As expected after being listed doubtful on the injury report, Allen Robinson has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. Darnell Mooney would once again be the top receiver for the Bears with Damiere Byrd and Jakeem Grant also likely to play a larger role in the offense. The weather will not help pass-catchers in Chicago today either.
As reported by: Chicago BearsDET WR Trinity Benson inactive Sunday
Trinity Benson has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. Benson was expected to help round out the receiver depth chart for the Lions so his absence won’t be too impactful If anything Tom Kennedy or Khadarel Hodge could see a few more snaps but still should not be considered for DFS contests.
As reported by: Tim TwentymanPHI QB Gardner Minshew will start Sunday; Jalen Hurts will be inactive
As expected but now confirmed, Gardner Minshew will start Sunday for the Eagles against the New York Jets. With Minshew drawing the start pass-catchers will all likely see a boost to their expected production based on increased targets. Hurts soaks up so much of the rushing share that running backs will also see an increase in expected production as well based on increased volume. Minshew at $4K on DK will need to be considered in most formats as he draws a great matchup against a porous Jets defense.
As reported by: Jeff McLane Other tagged players: Jalen HurtsNYJ WR Corey Davis expected to play Sunday
Corey Davis expected to play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Davis is still working his way back from a hip injury he suffered last week in practice, but looks like he will be able to give it a go today. He should slot in as the number two receiver for the Jets behind Elijah Moore but could be limited in some regards opening opportunities for other Jets pass-catchers like Jamison Crowder, Braxton Berrios, and Denzel Mims making them all slightly better plays.
As reported by: DJ Bien-AimeARI QB Kyler Murray and WR DeAndre Hopkins will both play Sunday per HC Kliff Kingsbury
Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins will both play Sunday against the Chicago Bears per HC Kliff Kingsbury. Both Murray and Hopkins seemed to be trending in the right direction to play this entire week after missing the last several games and this news confirms that. Murray will instantly provide a boost to all pass-catchers as he has been one of the top quarterbacks in terms of efficiency this year and can be considered in most formats in a good matchup (though the weather doesn’t seem to be the best for the passing game). Having said that the return of his top target DeAndre Hopkins could also limit the upside enjoyed by the other Cardinals receivers, especially near the goal line where Hopkins will likely see most of his reps (expected to be limited in some capacity).
As reported by: Stacey Dales Other tagged players: DeAndre HopkinsLVR RB Josh Jacobs and WR DeSean Jackson both expected to play Sunday
Josh Jacobs and DeSean Jackson are both expected to play Sunday against the Washington Football Team. All week we were told that neither injury was expected to be serious and this seems to be the case with both players expected to be able to suit up. Jackson should remain in his normal role Sunday as the Raiders burner and space creating wide receiver. If he is limited, this could mean a few more opportunities for the other Raider’s receivers like Bryan Edwards. Jacobs is also expected to be fine bit if he were to be limited Kenyan Drake would likely play a larger role in the backfield with both Jalen Richard and Peyton barber also possibly seeing some snaps.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport Other tagged players: DeSean JacksonJAC RB James Robinson will be a game-time decision Sunday
James Robinson will be a true game-time decision for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. Robinson is still nursing a heel injury that he was able to play through the last two weeks and is now also dealing with a knee injury. It seems as though Robinson is trending in the right direction to play this weekend as he was able to log limited practices each day this week and told media sources he was feeling better Saturday. However, if he were to be ruled out Carlos Hyde would lead the backfield with Dare Ogunbowale available to back him up. Hyde would need to be considered as a value option based on expected volume even in a tough matchup. It will be important to monitor Robinson’s status when inactives are released 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
As reported by: Adam SchefterLAR RB Darrell Henderson will test his thigh pregame but team is "not optimistic" he will be able to play Sunday, likely will be limited if available
Darrell Henderson will test his thigh pregame but team is “not optimistic” he will be able to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Henderson likely out, Sony Michel will be the lead back with only newly elevated Mekhi Sargent available to back him up. Michel instantly becomes one of the best plays on the entire slate with what should be a tremendous workload in a great matchup. Even if Henderson is cleared to play he would be limited and wouldn’t take much work away from Michel. Michel should be considered in all formats this week as an elite play.
As reported by: Adam SchefterKCC RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire expected to play Sunday
KCC RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire expected to play Sunday against the Denver Broncos and be a “full-go”. CEH is expected to continue splitting time with Darrel Williams in the Kansas City backfield with CEH seeing most of the early down work and Williams playing a role in the passing game. Both backs can be considered for the showdown slate but will limit each other’s upside.
As reported by: Ian RapoportHOU WR Brandin Cooks expected to play Sunday; RB Davin Johnson unlikely to play
Brandin Cooks is expected to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts while Davin Johnson is unlikely to play. Cooks should remain in his role as the alpha receiver for the Texans by a wide margin with Nico Collins and Chris Conley also likely available. David Johnson is still suffering ill effects of the illness that went through the Texans locker room and is expected to be out. In his stead Rex Burkhead should lead the backfield with Royce Freeman and the newly elevated Jaylen Samuels available to mix in. Burkhead can be considered as a value play but their are better options in better matchups elsewhere on the slate.
As reported by: Adam Schefter Other tagged players: David JohnsonPHI RB Boston Scott expected to play Sunday
Boston Scott is expected to play Sunday against the New York Jets despite being listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report. Jordan Howard still remains out making it two weeks straight now. In his absence Boston Scott saw the bulk of the carries and work in the backfield while both Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell mixed in. This could again be the case this weekend in an even better matchup against the Jets. There is also the potential for Scott to be limited as he works his way back from an illness, in this case Miles Sanders would see most of the carries with Kenneth Gainwell mixing in on passing downs.
As reported by: Tim McManusPHI QB Jalen Hurts out for Sunday; QB Gardner Minshew to start
Jalen Hurts has been ruled out for Sunday, Gardner Minshew set to start against the New York Jets. With Minshew drawing the start pass-catchers will all likely see a boost to their expected production based on increased targets. Hurts soaks up so much of the rushing share that running backs will also see an increase in expected production as well based on increased volume. Minshew at $4K on DK will need to be considered in most formats as he draws a great matchup against a porous defense.
