WR J.J. Koski waived by Los Angeles Rams

J.J. Koski has been waived by the Los Angeles Rams ahead of their matchup with the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night. Koski was used mostly on special teams and after a few rough outings was replaced by practice squad member Brandon Powell. Powell seems to have won the role going forward, leading to the release on Koski. Koski’s absence should have no real DFS impact.

Miller Forristall

12/07/21, 2:40 PM ET

CLE TE Miller Forristall signed to active roster from practice squad

As expected, Miller Forristall has been signed to the active roster from the practice squad ahead of the Cleveland Browns matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. With Harrison Bryant (ankle) and David Njoku (COVID) likely out this weekend the Browns are thin at tight end. Forristall is expected to serve as Austin Hooper’s backup and also play in two tight end sets. Forristall should play a fair amount of snaps out of necessity and can be considered as a punt play with touchdown upside in an offense that usually features its tight ends. It is also worth noting that Ross Travis was signed to the practice squad and could be elevated for Sunday to provide extra depth at the tight end position.

CLE TE David Njoku to be placed on COVID list, status for Sunday unclear

David Njoku is set to land on the COVID list ahead of the Browns Week 14 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. Njoku’s vaccine status is currently unknown but even if he is vaccinated he will likely be a longshot to play this weekend. The Browns will already be without Harrison Bryant who suffered a high ankle sprain and now will also likely be without David Njoku, leaving just Austin Hooper on the active roster and Miller Forristall on the practice squad. Austin Hooper should see the bulk of the tight end targets and becomes a much better play this weekend in an offense that relies heavily on its tight ends. With a lack of tight ends, the Cleveland wide receivers could also see a boost in expected production, mainly Jarvis Landry and Donovan Peoples-Jones who should become slightly better plays.

KCC RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire officially active for Sunday

As expected, Clyde Edwards-Helaire is officially active for Sunday night’s game against the Denver Broncos and is considered to be a “full-go”. CEH is expected to continue splitting time with Darrel Williams in the -Kansas City backfield with CEH seeing most of the early down work and Williams playing a role in the passing game. Both backs can be considered for the showdown slate but will limit each other’s upside.

Anthony McFarland

Miami Dolphins
12/05/21, 3:50 PM ET

PIT RB Anthony McFarland inactive Sunday

Anthony McFarland has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. McFarland continues to be the odd man out in the Steelers backfield as he does not contribute on special teams like Benny Snell. Both Snell and Kalen Ballage will backup the workhorse back Najee Harris.

Alex Collins

Seattle Seahawks
12/05/21, 3:47 PM ET

SEA RB Alex Collins inactive Sunday

Alex Collins has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.HC Pete Carroll stated earlier in the day that Adrian Peterson would lead the Seattle backfield today, which makes sense with Collins being inactive (likely due to the injury he has been battling the past few weeks). Behind Peterson, DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer figure to handle most of the passing game work with Rashaad Penny also available to mix in. At this point it is best to steer clear of the crowded Seattle backfield in DFS contests.

Arizona Cardinals
12/05/21, 3:43 PM ET

BAL RB Ty'Son Williams and TE Nick Boyle inactive Sunday

Ty’Son Williams and Nick Boyle have both been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Williams role as the third running back will be taken by Nate McCrary who was elevated from the practice squad yesterday and is also expected to serve on special teams. Boyle’s role as the backup tight end will now be played by Eric Tomlinson. Neither McCrary or Tomlinson figure to be relevant to DFS players.

James Robinson

New Orleans Saints
12/05/21, 3:39 PM ET

JAC RB James Robinson officially active Sunday; TE Jacob Hollister inactive

James Robinson is officially active Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams while Jacob Hollister has been listed inactive. Robinson has been dealing with multiple injuries the last few weeks but will once again give it a go in a very tough matchup. If he is limited in any way expect Carlos Hyde to see some more work. Hollister was not expected to play a major role for the Jaguars and his absence will not be DFS relevant.

Darrell Henderson

Los Angeles Rams
12/05/21, 3:36 PM ET

LAR RB Darrell Henderson and WR Odell Beckham Jr ACTIVE Sunday

Darrell Henderson and Odell Beckham Jr both will be active Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Henderson is still expected to be severely limited and might only play on high leverage snaps or in an emergency situation. Sony Michel remains the back to play here in a great matchup. OBJ will also be available and should see his normal snaps as he gets accustomed to the Rams offense. Cooper Kupp will lead the receiving corps with OBJ and Van Jefferson behind him.

WAS TE Ricky Seals-Jones inactive Sunday

Ricky Seals-Jones has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Seals-Jones has been dealing with an injury and will once again be unable to suit up meaning John Bates and Sammis Reyes will back up Logan Thomas. Thomas can be considered in most formats as he should be close to seeing his full workload.

Status Update: DeAndre Hopkins did not come out for the team’s official warmup per Stacey Dales

DeAndre Hopkins did not come out for the team’s official warmup per Stacey Dales. This sounds very similar to what happened on Thursday night with Amari Cooper. Hopkins will play but will likely only play high leverage snaps. He is a risky play but has the ability to produce on a snap count.

Wayne Gallman

Seattle Seahawks
12/05/21, 12:40 PM ET

ATL RB Wayne Gallman inactive Sunday

Wayne Gallman will be inactive for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This seemed like a likely outcome after Qadree Ollison was elevated yesterday. The Falcons really like the young back and he should serve as the third running back behind Cordarrelle Patterson and Mike Davis. This is an incredibly tough matchup against the stingy Tampa Bay run defense though so it is possible all Atlanta backs struggle.

Kadarius Toney

Cleveland Browns
12/05/21, 12:36 PM ET

NYG WR Kadarius Toney and WR Sterling Shepard inactive Sunday

As expected after being listed as doubtful on the injury report, Kadarius Toney and Sterling Shepard have been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins. With Shepard and Toney out it will be another week of Kenny Golladay and Darius Slayton leading the receiving corps though with a downgrade throwing them passes at quarterback in Mike Glennon. Golladay and Slayton should see plenty of targets in a game that the Giants are expected to be trailing but the quality of those targets is very questionable. it will likely be best to avoid all pieces of the Giants offense this week.

Phillip Lindsay

Indianapolis Colts
12/05/21, 12:31 PM ET

MIA RB Phillip Lindsay and TE Adam Shaheen inactive Sunday

As expected after being listed as doubtful on the injury report, Phillip Lindsay and Adam Shaheen have been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. With Lindsay officially ruled out, Myles Gaskin should lead the backfield with both Salvon Ahmed and Patrick Laird available to back him up. Gaskin will be a good play in a game that the Dolphins are expected to lead and should be the featured back. With Shaheen out, Mike Gesicki will continue to be the primary tight end with Durham Smythe and Hunter Long available to back him up.
