ARI QB Kyler Murray "pessimistic" to play Sunday, will be a game-time decision but "likely that Colt McCoy starts" according to Ian Rapoport
The Arizona cardinals are “pessimistic” Kyler Murray will be able to play Sunday though he will still be a game-time decision when they take on the Carolina Panthers. It is “likely that Colt McCoy starts” according to Ian Rapoport which will mean all pass-catchers will have lower expected production. It looks like it will be similar to last week where the Arizona offense should run through James Conner with Colt McCoy attempting to do enough to help his team win. It is also worth noting that DeAndre Hopkins and Rondale Moore are also listed questionable. If one or both are out, A.J. Green and Christian Kirk will become much better plays and will offer increased value.

Ben Roethlisberger has been placed on the COVID list and will be out Sunday when the Pittsburgh Steelers are set to take on the Detroit Lions. Mason Rudolph is expected to get the starting nod and with that all Steelers pass-catchers will see a dip in their expected production, even against a soft Detroit defense. Three of the top plays of the slate will be affected by this news with Diontae Johnson and James Washington taking a hit, however Najee Harris might see a dip in his passing game production but could be relied on more heavily in the run game. Johnson and Washington are still decent plays but definitely come with more risk now, while Harris could actually become an even better play.

Ben Skowronek has been listed as questionable for Monday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Skowronek wasn’t expected to play a major role on Monday but after the Robert Woods injury he moved up to number four on the depth chart. If he were to miss, J.J. Koski could see more snaps as well as the debuting Odell Beckham Jr. It would also not be surprising to see some practice squad elevations made by the Rams to shore up their receiving corps.

As reported by: Mike ReissSFO RB JaMycal Hasty and WR Mohamed Sanu listed out for Monday
As expected, JaMycal Hasty and WR Mohamed Sanu have been listed out for Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. Elijah Mitchell is expected to continue to lead the backfield with the recently returning Jeff Wilson serving as the 3rd down back. It is also likely that rookie Trey Sermon will be available and see a few carries. Mitchell is the running back to target on the Monday showdown slate with Wilson offering a contrarian option that could vulture a touchdown or two. With Sanu out, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle could dominate even more of the target share than they are accustomed to making them stronger plays.

Julio Jones has been placed on IR and Dez Fitzpatrick has been signed to the active roster ahead of Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. With Jones unable to go, A.J. Brown will be the uncontested lead receiver for the Titans with Chester Rogers and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine competing for the second spot. It is probably best just to stick to playing Brown or a receiver from a different team with a more stable snap count/target share in DFS contests now that Jones has been ruled out for Sunday. Fitzpatrick is expected to serve as receiver depth and is not DFS relevant at this time.

Chris Godwin is expected to play Sunday against the Washington Football team after dealing all week with a foot injury. Godwin should slot back in as Tom Brady’s top receiving option across from Mike Evans. The Bucs are still thin at receiver with Antonio Brown out, so Evans and Godwin should continue to see the hefty volume they have grown accustomed to in one of the best passing offenses in football. Both can be considered in most formats this Sunday.
