LVR TE Nick Bowers (shoulder/neck) ruled out for Sunday
Nick Bowers (shoulder/neck) has been ruled out for Sunday ahead of the Raiders matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Raiders have been struggling with tight end depth behind Darren Waller and Foster Moreau after losing Derek Carrier and now Nick Bowers. Matt Bushman is on the practice squad and could potentially be elevated but should not have much if any DFS impact. Waller remains a top tight end and should be the only member of this group considered in DFS contests.
As reported by: Tashan ReedCHI WR Allen Robinson (ankle) and WR Jakeem Grant (ankle) both DNP Wednesday
Allen Robinson (ankle) and Jakeem Grant (ankle) both logged DNPs Wednesday ahead of their matchup Sunday with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Allen Robinson is still dealing with an ankle injury but was able to suit up this past Sunday and caught 4 of his 7 targets for 53 yards. Robinson continues to be a bit of a disappointment this year but this week could be a different story against Tampa Bay. The Bears will likely be forced to throw the ball as they will probably be laying from behind and the Buccaneers have a notoriously stout run defense. If Robinson is unable to suit up Darnell Mooney will play an even bigger role in the passing game with Marquise Goodwin possibly filling in for Robinson opposite Mooney.

Terrace Marshall Jr. (concussion) and WR Alex Erickson (concussion) both logged DNPs on Wednesday ahead of their matchup with the New York Giants on Sunday. If both Marshall and Erickson were to miss Shi Smith would move into the WR3 role (as confirmed by Coach Rhule) behind D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson and could be a potential value play. This is a situation that needs to be monitored throughout the week as the concussion protocol allows no exact timeframe for a return.

Tyrie Cleveland has been promoted to the active roster from the practice squad for Thursday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland is expected to serve as receiver depth and should only be considered as a desperation punt option for Thursday’s showdown slate though there will likely be other options with more guaranteed snaps.
As reported by: Zac StevensSFO QB Trey Lance will not practice Wednesday; QB Jimmy Garoppolo will be limited
Trey Lance will not practice Wednesday while Jimmy Garoppolo will be limited ahead of Sunday night’s matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Coach Shanahan fully expects Garoppolo to be good by Sunday (and Garrapolo echoed this himself later in the day) but wanted to limit him today to make sure he feels fine. Lance is expected to be unavailable Sunday putting off the debate another week over which quarterback should be the starter going forward for the 49ers when both are healthy. Garoppolo should be considered on Sunday’s showdown slate as quarterbacks offer a safe floor though Garoppolo’s lack of elite rushing ability limits his upside.

Odell Beckham Jr. (shoulder) has officially been listed as questionable for Thursday’s game against the Denver Broncos. OBJ was unable to practice all week but hopes he will be able to play tomorrow after receiving treatment and giving the injury time to heal. The Browns could really use him as they are already going to be without Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, and Kareem Hunt and possibly Jarvis Landry (would need to be activated from IR tomorrow). OBJ would likely be the best skill player active for the Browns and would likely see a hefty target share from Case Keenum and should be considered one of the top options on the Browns’ side of the ball if he is indeed able to suit up.
As reported by: Nate UlrichDEN QB Teddy Bridgewater (foot/quad) officially listed questionable for Thursday
Teddy Bridgewater (foot/quad) has officially been listed as questionable for Thursday night’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Bridgewater was able to practice in a limited capacity all week and seems to be trending towards playing although it has already been announced that Drew Lock would get the start if Bridgewater has a setback tomorrow. There is a potential for both teams to be rolling with backup quarterbacks as Baker Mayfield has already been ruled out for the Browns in what is shaping up to be a fairly ugly Thursday night showdown slate.
As reported by: Nate UlrichNYG RB Saquon Barkley, WR Kenny Golladay, WR Kadarius Toney, WR John Ross, and TE Kaden Smith all DNP Wednesday; WR Darius Slayton limited
Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, John Ross, and Kaden Smith all logged DNPs Wednesday while Darius Slayton was able to log a limited practice ahead of the Giants matchup with the Carolina Panthers. Barkley is expected to be out at least another week, meaning that Devontae Booker is set to lead the backfield for a second straight week. He was able to rush for 41 yards on 12 carries Sunday and caught all 4 of his targets for an additional 28 yards in a tough matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. He will see another tough matchup against the Pathers but can be considered in DFS due to his expected volume. Right now Golladay, Toney, and John Ross are all dealing with injuries for the Giants’ receiving corps meaning Sterling Shepard could be in line for another massive share of targets. He caught 10 of his 14 targets last week and could see a similar number this week depending on the health of the other Giants’ pass-catchers.

Sammy Watkins (hamstring) and Latavius Murray (ankle) were not seen at practice Wednesday and will likely log DNPs. If Sammy Watkins were forced to miss another game due to his hamstring injury, rookie Rashod Bateman would be in line to get his second start opposite Marquise Brown. Bateman who is still a value option on DK actually led the team in targets last week with 6 and could see another solid target share this Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. If Murray were to miss, the convoluted Ravens’ running back situation could get even more difficult to predict. The available running backs would be Le’Veon Bell, Devonta Freeman, and Ty’Son Williams (a healthy scratch 2 of the last 3 weeks). At this point it is best to avoid the Ravens’ running backs in DFS contests.
As reported by: Bo Smolka Other tagged players: Latavius MurrayWAS RB Antonio Gibson, WR Terry McLaurin, WR Curtis Samuel, WR Cam Sims, and TE Ricky Seals-Jones all DNP Wednesday; WR Dyami Brown limited
Antonio Gibson, Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, Cam Sims, and Ricky Seals-Jones all logged DNPs Wednesday. Wow, this injury report is long as seemingly nothing can go right for the Washington Football Team so far this season. It is still early in the week and right now the hope is that all these players will be good to go by Sunday when they are set to take on the Green Bay Packers, but it looks like they will all be a little banged up heading into that contest. If Gibson were to miss, J.D. McKissic and Jaret Patterson would lead the backfield with McKissic expected to see the majority of the snaps becoming a much stronger play. The only healthy receiver for Washington that regularly sees snaps is Adam Humphries and depending on how many other pass-catchers are healthy enough to play on Sunday could be in store for a larger target share. This long list of injured players needs to be monitored throughout the week as value plays could be opened up ahead of Sunday.
As reported by: Sam Fortier Other tagged players: Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, Cam Sims, Ricky Seals-JonesTBB WR Antonio Brown (ankle), TE Rob Gronkowski, and TE O.J. Howard DNP on Wednesday
Antonio Brown (ankle) and O.J. Howard both log DNPs on Wednesday ahead of Tampa Bay’s matchup with the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Coach Arians said that Brown is dealing with a sprained ankle, so it will be important to monitor his status throughout the week. Because Brown is a veteran as long as he is able to log a limited practice by Friday he should be in line to play this Sunday. IF Brown is unable to suit up it is likely that Chris Godwin and Mike Evans see more targets and become stronger plays. It still remains to be seen if Rob Gronkowski will be available this Sunday but if he and O.J. Howard are unable to go it will likely be Cameron Brate seeing the bulk of the tight end work, becoming a good value option.
As reported by: Pewter Report Other tagged players: O.J. Howard, Rob GronkowskiKCC WR Tyreek Hill (quad) will not practice Wednesday
Tyreek Hill (quad) will not practice Wednesday ahead of the Chiefs matchup with the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Hill is still dealing with the quad injury that caused him to miss practice last week as well as have his snaps limited in the game this past Sunday. It remains to be seen if Hill’s injury will improve but it is something to monitor closely. If Hill were to miss on Sunday, Travis Kelce, Mecole Hardman, Demarcus Robinson, and Byron Pringle could all see more targets with Kelce and Hardman most likely being the biggest benefactors.
As reported by: Herbie TeopeIND WR T.Y. Hilton (quad) will not practice Wednesday
T.Y. Hilton (quad) will not practice Wednesday ahead of the Colts matchup with the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night. The plan is to reevaluate Hilton tomorrow as Coach Reich trusts Hilton to not push himself and to be ready for Sunday with limited practice reps. If Hilton were to miss, Zach Pascal and Michael Pittman could see an increased target share making them stronger plays on the showdown slate.
As reported by: Zac KeeferCLE QB Case Keenum will start Thursday against the Broncos, QB Baker Mayfield out
Case Keenum will start for the Cleveland Browns on Thursday against the Denver Broncos as Baker Mayfield will be forced to miss the game with a left shoulder injury. Baker expressed his desire to be able to play through the injury earlier this week but the Sunday to Thursday turnaround was just too quick, he will focus on rehab in hopes that he will be able to play in Week 8. Keenum will draw the start against a good Broncos defense that seems motivated to bounce back after three straight losses. The Browns will also be without Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt and it is also looking like Odell Beckham Jr. (shoulder) and Jarvis Landry (would need to be activated to active roster off IR) will be game-time decisions. Keenum will need to be considered because it is a showdown slate Thursday, but this slate is getting uglier by the minute (and has the potential to get worse).
