CIN RB Joe Mixon should get a full workload Sunday according to HC

Joe Mixon is expected to see a full workload on Sunday against the Detroit Lions according to his head coach. If this is to be believed Mixon should see a lot of work and be considered a strong play in a game that the Bengals are expected to be leading. Mixon should be considered due to his expected workload and positive game script.

Zach Ertz

Washington Commanders

TE Zach Ertz traded to the Arizona Cardinals

Zach Ertz has been traded to the Arizona Cardinals and will be their top tight end going forward. After playing last night on Thursday (and catching a touchdown) he will be unable to play Sunday against the Browns but should be considered for DFS in subsequent weeks after joining the high powered Arizona offense.

Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens
10/14/21, 5:42 PM ET

BAL QB Lamar Jackson (illness) and Sammy Watkins (thigh) both DNP Thursday

Lamar has missed a practice every week, and this week is no exception; he missed today due to an illness. Watkins injury is the bigger one to monitor; he left midway through the Ravens last game with a thigh injury, and was unable to practice as a result. Watkins may begin to get phased out of the offense, as Rashod Bateman is expected to make his debut this week after missing the first five games due to injury. The top targets will still be Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews, as the Ravens prepare to play the Chargers in one of the best games of the main slate.

Mike Williams

Los Angeles Chargers
10/14/21, 5:39 PM ET

LAC WR Mike Williams DNP again Thursday

Arguably the hottest player in fantasy football so far, Williams logged his second straight DNP due to a knee issue. Williams has missed practice before and played, although he’s also dealt with lingering injuries that have caused him to miss games. If he were to sit, Keenan Allen would be a major target hog, along with Austin Ekeler. Jalen Guyton would play a few more snaps, as would Josh Palmer.

Dalvin Cook

Dallas Cowboys
10/14/21, 5:35 PM ET

MIN RB Dalvin Cook practices in full Thursday; MIN WR Justin Jefferson and WR Adam Thielen both DNP Thursday

The Vikings top three offensive options appear to have differing statuses, and are going backwards from their last game. After missing last weekends’ game, Cook was upgraded from limited yesterday to a full practice today, something he hasn’t logged in over three weeks. He appears good to go on Sunday, moving Alexander Mattison to the bench after being the best play on the slate last weekend. The WRs on the other hand aren’t looking as great; Thielen missed his second straight practice due to a foot injury, while Jefferson missed his second straight due to an ankle issues. Jefferson has said that he’ll be fine despite not practicing, and there hasn’t been too much fear over Thielen yet. If either player sits, it would likely lead to more opportunities for K.J. Osborn, Dede Westbrook, and Tyler Conklin.

Allen Robinson

Detroit Lions
10/14/21, 5:32 PM ET

CHI WR Allen Robinson DNP again Thursday

Robinson is dealing with an ankle injury and logged his second straight DNP as the Bears prepare to play the Green Bay Packers. Robinson has been off to a brutal start, struggling to build chemistry with Justin Fields in a low volume passing environment. Still, if he were to sit, there would be significant value elsewhere. Darnell Mooney would be the target hog, while Jakeem Grant, Marquise Goodwin, and Damiere Byrd would all rotate likely for the WR2 spot. Robinson has played in the league for a few years, so he may be able to gut through without practice, but monitoring tomorrow’s practice will be crucial.

Damien Harris

Buffalo Bills
10/14/21, 5:25 PM ET

NE RB Damien Harris limited Thursday

Harris was listed as limited Thursday due to a rib injury, an upgrade from his DNP yesterday. It looks like he’ll be back on track to play Sunday, with Brandon Bolden playing the passing downs, and Rhamondre Stevenson mixing in for a few snaps.

DeVante Parker

Philadelphia Eagles
10/14/21, 5:07 PM ET

MIA WR DeVante Parker DNP again Thursday

Paker was once again unable to practice Thursday, the second straight day he’s been held out due to a shoulder and hamstring injury. Parker missed the last game after suffering the injury during Friday’s practice, so it’s a worrisome sign that he sat again. Still, it’s been reported that Parker will still make the trip to London, as the Dolphins play the Jaguars in England. This is a good sign that the injury is not so serious that they leave Parker in the US to rehab; it’s likely his status will be a game-time decision. If he sits, it should be more work for Jaylen Waddle, along with Preston Williams and Albert Wilson.

DeAndre Hopkins

Baltimore Ravens
10/14/21, 4:59 PM ET

ARI WR DeAndre Hopkins (illness) DNP again Thursday

Hopkins had his second straight DNP Wednesday, as he’s been dealing with an illness. The Cardinals have had three players test positive for COVID, including Chandler Jones. Hopkins hasn’t been placed on the COVID-19 list, so this appears to be a non COVID illness. Hopkins has played plenty of times without practicing, including earlier this year, but it’s worth monitoring tomorrow to see if there’s any issues.

Jamaal Williams

New Orleans Saints
10/14/21, 5:23 PM ET

DET RB Jamaal Williams DNP Thursday; RB D'Andre Swift and TE T.J. Hockenson both limited

The Lions have had players be limited often, so Swift and Hockenson’s inclusion is not so worrisome; both players will almost certainly be good to go Sunday. Williams, however, is dealing with a hip injury and illness, and was unable to play. If he misses tomorrow’s practice, then it’ll be a bigger worry; D’Andre Swift would certainly be an elite play if Williams sat, as he’s already a great play.

Julio Jones

Philadelphia Eagles
10/14/21, 5:13 PM ET

TEN WR Julio Jones and WR AJ Brown both fully practice Thursday

The Titans were able to get one star wide receiver back last week, and now appear on their way to getting their other one this week. Practicing for the first time ahead of a MNF game, the both Julio and Brown were able to get full practices, a great sign for their availability for their game against the Buffalo Bills. Assuming they both play, they’ll likely split the targets once again, and the remaining wide receivers (Josh Reynolds, Marcus Johnson, and Chester Rogers) are unlikely to play a large role, although it will be a showdown slate so they’ll still be considered for a projection.

Dallas Goedert

Philadelphia Eagles
10/14/21, 5:09 PM ET

PHI TE Dallas Goedert officially out Thursday; TE Noah Togiai elevated from practice squad

Goedert was unable to clear the COVID-19 protocols, and will officially miss the game tonight against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Eagles elected to elevate Togiai from the practice squad; he’s not likely to see many snaps and is more of a depth piece, but on a showdown slate anything is viable. Zach Ertz will be the most popular play from the Eagles, as his salary was listed before the DFS sites knew that Goedert would sit.

Joe Mixon

Houston Texans
10/14/21, 5:03 PM ET

CIN RB Joe Mixon DNP Thursday

After getting in a limited session yesterday, Mixon was downgraded to a DNP today as the Bengals prepare to play the winless Detroit Lions. Mixon has been dealing with an ankle injury that he suffered during the TNF game against the Jaguars two weeks ago; he turned it badly, but it was only considered a low grade sprain. Mixon was able to play this past week, but played on a reduced workload and did not get his usual lion’s share of the work. Samaje Perine is on the COVID-19 list, so if Mixon isn’t cleared, it’ll be the Chris Evans show.

Nick Chubb

Houston Texans
10/14/21, 4:57 PM ET

CLE RB Nick Chubb and RB Kareem Hunt both DNP Thursday; TE David Njoku limited

The Browns RB room might have to be something to monitor, as both Chubb and Hunt recorded their second straight DNP Thursday ahead of their game against the Arizona Cardinals. Chubb is dealing with a calf injury, while Hunt is having issues with both his wrist and his knee. This may just be precautionary, as there doesn’t seem to be any real indication that either will sit, but it’s worth monitoring; if one sat, the other would be a smash play; Hunt in particular would benefit getting the early down workload if Chubb were to sit. Njoku was able to return to practice in a limited fashion, after having a DNP yesterday; he looks like he’ll play and will look to keep the momentum going after his big game last week.
