NYG WR Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and WR Darius Slayton (hamstring) not practicing Friday; both expected to sit
As reported by: Jordan Raanan via Twitter Other tagged players: Darius SlaytonBAL QB Lamar Jackson (back) returns to practice Friday
Lamar was back at practice Friday, after missing the last two days with a back issue. It was never expected to keep him out, and his ability to get a practice in means he should be all systems go against a stifling Denver Broncos defense.
As reported by: Albert Breer via TwitterNYJ WR Jamison Crowder (groin) "on track to play" Sunday; WR Elijah Moore (concussion) and WR Jeff Smith (concussion) ruled out; WR Denzel Mims to be active
Coach Saleh gave an outlook on the wide receivers as the Jets prepare to play the Tennessee Titans. Moore and Smith were both ruled out with concussions; Moore suffered his last game, while Smith was in a car accident during the week that left him without major injury, but was placed in the concussion protocol to be safe. Crowder is expected to return after missing the first week due to COVID protocols, and the last two games due to a groin injury. Mims will also be active for the first time since week 1, as he will be the Jets fifth healthy receiver, behind Corey Davis, Crowder, Braxton Berrios, and Keelan Cole. Crowder may end up playing a key role, as the preferred slot option for Zach Wilson against a leaky Titans defense. Mims will likely rotate in for a few snaps, but Davis will still be the top option for the team.

Carlos Hyde is a surprise inactive (update: Hyde’s shoulder “didn’t feel right” so that is why he is being held out) for Thursday night when the Jaguars are set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals. This will mean James Robinson should see almost all of the snaps at RB for the Jaguars with only Dare Ogunbowale active as his backup. Lavishka Shenault could also see some carries as he has been called upon to do that a few times this season and could get a few extra touches this way. The big takeaway from Hyde being inactive is that James Robinson will be the featured back tonight for the Jaguars and should be considered a much better play, even in an offense that has struggled to move the ball and score so far this season.
As reported by: Doug KyedATL WR Russell Gage (ankle) DNP Thursday
Russell Gage, who missed last game with an ankle injury has still not returned to practice as he has logged two DNPs so far this week. This does not seem like a good sign for Gage to be able to suit up this weekend when the Falcons are set to take on the Washington Football Team. If Gage were to miss again this week Olamide Zaccheaus would slot into the number two receiver role behind Calvin Ridley. Zaccheaus saw 6 targets last week without Gage and would likely be in store for a similar workload.
As reported by: Mike RothsteinHOU WR Danny Amendola (thigh) DNP Thursday
Danny Amendola, who is dealing with a thigh injury, has not practiced Wednesday or Thursday ahead of the Texans Week 4 matchup with the Buffalo Bills. If Amendola is unable to go (missed last week) Brandon Cooks, Anthony Miller, and Chris Conley would likely be the Texans primary receivers. Cooks would likely be the only one that should garner any consideration strictly from a volume perspective as the Bills should run away with this game fairly easily.
NYJ RB La'Mical Perine (illness) DNP Thursday
La’Mical Perine did not practice on Thursday due to a non-covid related illness. He is not expected to play much of a role Sunday against the Tennessee Titans so if he were unable to suit up it wouldn’t have much of a DFS impact.
As reported by: Ralph VacchianoJAC K Matthew Wright elevated to active/inactive list; WR Tavon Austin activated to active roster
Matthew Wright will handle the kicking duties for Jacksonville tonight after Josh Lambo was ruled out yesterday due to a personal matter. Tavon Austin has been activated and is expected to serve as WR4 or WR5 for the Jaguars tonight when they take on the Cincinnati Bengals. It is tough to consider many Jaguars tonight as they have been dreadful to start the season.
As reported by: Michael DiRocco Other tagged players: Tavon AustinTBB TE Rob Gronkowski and RB Giovani Bernard DNP Thursday
Rob Gronkowski and Giovani Bernard both logged DNPs Thursday after missing practice on Wednesday as well. It was believed earlier in the week that Gronk will be good to go by Sunday to make his return to New England as a member of the Buccaneers. However if he is unable to go the snaps at the tight end position would be split between Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard. If Bernard were unable to go it is likely that both Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones would see an uptick in snaps with Fournette handling most of the passing down work.
As reported by: Jenna Laine Other tagged players: Giovani BernardIND TE Jack Doyle DNP Thursday
Jack Doyle was listed as DNP on Thursday after also sitting out practice on Wednesday with a back injury. If Doyle were to be unable to go on Sunday, it is likely that Mo Alie-Cox would fill his role in the offense and offer some value at the minimum salary for the position on DK, it is still probably best to look elsewhere for production at this position though (the tight ends for the Colts saw a combined 4 targets last game).
As reported by: Indianapolis ColtsSFO TE George Kittle (calf) not seen practicing Thursday
George Kittle was not seen practicing Thursday after also logging a DNP Wednesday while dealing with a calf injury, leaving his status for Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks in question. If Kittle were unable to go, the tight end position would likely be split between Ross Dwelley and Charlie Woerner in some sort of timeshare. The big boosts would likely be seen by the wide receivers as they should see an increase in targets, the main benefactors being Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and Mohammed Sanu. There is also a possibility of Elijah Mitchell (if active) and all-pro fullback Kyle Juszcyk seeing some more targets out of the backfield as well, making all players mentioned stronger plays due to expected volume against a poor Seattle defense.
As reported by: Nick WagonerTEN WR A.J. Brown and WR Julio Jones not practicing Thursday
A.J. Brown and Julio Jones both are not practicing Thursday as they both deal with hamstring issues. Julio missed a few snaps against the Colts last week, and it was mentioned during the post-game that he “tightened up” a bit. Now, his status is up in the air as the Titans prepare to play the New York Jets. A.J. Brown is already considered week to week, so if Julio can’t go, the Titans would be incredibly shorthanded as their WR depth is certainly shaky. It will be important to monitor if Julio or Brown can log any sort of practice tomorrow, though Julio does have a track record of sitting out practices and being able to suit up on Sundays from his time in Atlanta.
As reported by: Jim Wyatt Other tagged players: Julio JonesMIN TE Tyler Conklin (glute/elbow) returns to practice Thursday
After missing Wednesday’s practice with glute and elbow injuries Tyler Conklin has returned to practice on Thursday. This will likely set him up to be available Sunday when the Vikings are set to take on the Cleveland Browns. Conklin will look to build on his monster game against the Seahawks where he amassed over 20 DK points albeit in a tougher matchup this week.
As reported by: Andrew KrammerLVR RB Josh Jacobs (ankle) returns to practice Thursday
Josh Jacobs has returned to practice Thursday after missing the last two games with an ankle injury giving him the opportunity to be available for the Raiders when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers Monday night. It remains to be seen if Jacobs will be limited in any way but his return would likely cut into the snaps that Peyton Barber was seeing in his absence. Kenyan Drake will likely continue to see most of the passing game work though Jacobs’s return could also cut into this as well. Jacobs if considered a full go would definitely be a consideration for the Monday night showdown slate.
As reported by: Kevin BolingerGBP WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring) DNP Thursday
Marquez Valdes-Scantling did not practice again Thursday, making it two straight practices that he has missed while dealing with a hamstring injury. Coach LaFleur stated to the media that the Packers will likely use the whole week to determine if MVS will play against the Steelers. The Packers target tree is pretty concentrated between Davante Adams and Robert Tonyan, but some additional targets would go to Randall Cobb and Allen Lazard if MVS is unable to go on Sunday.
