Drew Lock

Seattle Seahawks
9/21/20, 2:34 PM ET

Drew Lock (shoulder) to miss at least two weeks

Lock suffered a severe rotator cuff strain and will be sidelined at least two weeks before being re-evaluated, effectively ruling him out for the Broncos next two games and making him a candidate for short-term injured reserve. Even though Lock is expected to miss extended time, Denver is still hopeful he’ll be able to get back under center before the team’s Week 8 bye, which likely puts his timetable for a return closer to four weeks than the two that’s been reported. In his absence, Jeff Driskel will take over as the starting quarterback, and he was serviceable in Sunday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers despite only completing 18-of-34 passing attempts and tossing an interception.

Parris Campbell

Dallas Cowboys

Parris Campbell (knee) out indefinitely, expected to miss significant time

Campbell suffered a sprained MCL and PCL during Sunday’s Week 2 win over the Minnesota Vikings and will be out indefinitely. The Colts haven’t ruled out a potential return for Campbell later in the season, but if he winds up needing surgery to repair the ligament damage in his knee, there’s certainly a possibility the team decides to place him on injured reserve for the remainder of the year and effectively end the standout second-year wide receivers’ 2020 season. With Campbell sidelined for a lengthy period of time, it should be expected for T.Y. Hilton to reassert himself as the clear number one wide receiver in the Colts’ offense, while Zach Pascal and rookie Michael Pittman Jr. figure to see more snaps on the outside with Hilton likely moving inside on three-wide receiver sets.

Courtland Sutton

Denver Broncos

Courtland Sutton (knee) to miss the remainder of the season

An MRI performed on Monday morning revealed that Sutton suffered a torn ACL in Sunday’s Week 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Broncos’ standout wide receiver is slated to miss the remainder of the 2020 season. According to multiple reports, the Broncos’ don’t currently plan to bring in any additional players to provide depth at the wide receiver position, so rookie Jerry Jeuy and second-year tight end Noah Fant should become the top-two pass-catching options for quarterback Jeff Driskel, and eventually Drew Lock, once he returns from a shoulder injury. Additionally, KJ Hamler made his NFL debut in Sunday’s contest and surprisingly amassed seven targets while playing primarily in the slot, which will likely limit the appeal of DaeSean Hamilton’s in any type of fantasy formats moving forward.

Phillip Dorsett, DeeJay Dallas Inactive Week 2

Dorsett and Dallas will both be inactive the for Seahawks Sunday night. Dorsett had been working this week in practice to return, but clearly didn’t progress far enough. Given that he also missed Week 1, the Seahawks offense should not be significantly changed this week.

Duke Johnson, Pharaoh Brown Inactive Week 2

As expected, Duke Johnson is now officially ruled out for Sunday. Pharaoh Brown will not have a role in this offense barring injuries to the players ahead of him at TE. Chris Moore

Washington Commanders
9/20/20, 3:08 PM ET

Chris Moore, Justice Hill Inactive Week 2

Moore and Hill are both inactive Sunday for the Ravens. Neither player being out will change the projections for the Ravens Week 2. Hill had been working his way back this week, but with the Ravens’ depth and health at RB, he is not needed.

Brandon Aiyuk

San Francisco 49ers
9/20/20, 12:22 PM ET

Brandon Aiyuk, Mohamed Sanu Active Week 2

Aiyuk and Sanu are both active for the 49ers today, and both should make their season debuts. Aiyuk is expected to step in and be a top WR for the 49ers, while Sanu’s role isn’t as clear. Sanu was just signed this week, which is likely to keep his snaps and role in the offense limited. The absence of George Kittle does open up more target share for everyone else in this offense.

9/20/20, 12:32 PM ET

A.J. Brown, Darrynton Evans, Geoff Swaim Inactive Week 2

A.J. Brown, Darrynton Evans and Geoff Swaim are all inactive Sunday. None of these inactives are surprising, and the outlook for the Titans remains the same: Derrick Henry should get significant touches all day in a game where they are heavy favorites.
