Kalif Raymond Remains in the Concussion Protocol

Raymond remains in the concussion protocol, although he is reportedly getting close to being cleared. He has been out since Week 16.

Eagles RT Lane Johnson is Inactive Today Against the Seahawks

As expected, the Eagles will be without one of their best offensive linemen vs. the Seahawks this afternoon.

Miles Sanders

Dallas Cowboys
1/05/20, 4:17 PM ET

Eagles RB Miles Sanders is Officially Active Vs. the Seahawks

Rookie halfback Miles Sanders was cleared to play earlier in the week, so his availability this afternoon was never in question. However, he reportedly looks good on his injured ankle in pregame warmups, which should alleviate some concerns about his workload today. DFS players on late-swap sites should consider pivoting to Sanders if they have the salary.

We have Sanders projected for about 40% of the rushing attempts ahead of Boston Scott and Jordan Howard, in addition to a 10% target share. The Seahawks are beatable on the ground this year, ranking just 26th in DVOA and allowing the 17th-most fantasy points to running backs. Because of the myriad of injuries to the Eagles on offense, they may rely heavily on Sanders today if he is healthy.

Zach Ertz

Washington Commanders
1/05/20, 4:17 PM ET

Eagles TE Zach Ertz is Officially Active Today Against the Seahawks

As expected, the star tight end will play in today’s NFC Wild-Card matchup vs. the Seahawks. Ertz is a risky option given that he is not 100% healthy, but this will be reflected in his ownership and he makes for a solid pivot off of Dallas Goedert in GPPs. Goedert has a 23% target share over the last three games and could see double-digit targets again if Ertz acts as a decoy.

Ertz’s availability would push Joshua Perkins back to being the third tight end on the depth chart and out of consideration for tournaments. Goedert makes for a strong play regardless because of how banged-up the Eagles are at the wide receiver position and the fact the Seahawks gave up the eighth most fantasy points to tight ends during the regular season.

Jaron Brown

Arizona Cardinals
1/05/20, 3:35 PM ET

Seahawks WRs Jaron Brown, Malik Turner are Out Today Vs. the Eagles

With Brown and Turner out, David Moore should slot into the WR3 role and see about two-thirds of the snaps for the Seahawks. Although Moore hasn’t seen more than four targets in a game this season, he is viable against the poor secondary of the Eagles, who allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to wideouts during the regular season.

Laquon Treadwell

Indianapolis Colts
1/05/20, 1:30 PM ET

Vikings WR Laqoun Treadwell is a Healthy Scratch Today Vs. the Saints

Treadwell is a healthy inactive today in the Superdome, meaning the Vikings will likely run a lot of two-tight end sets and Olabisi Johnson will see the field on three-wide sets. Kyle Rudolph and Irv Smith Jr. have a median projection of three to four targets each while Johnson will likely see two or three targets at most. The Saints allowed just the 22nd most fantasy points to tight ends in 2019 and will look to establish a healthy Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison on the ground early and often.

Patriots CB Jason McCourty is Out Vs. the Titans

McCourty will miss his fifth game in the last six weeks. His absence has little DFS impact since the secondary is used to playing without him. The elite unit will look to slow down emerging star receiver A.J. Brown and the Titans offense.

Julian Edelman

New England Patriots
1/04/20, 7:56 PM ET

Patriots WR Julian Edelman (Shoulder) is Active for Tonight's Game Vs. the Titans

Edelman has been playing through this same shoulder injury with the questionable tag for quite some time now, so he was in no obvious danger of missing tonight’s game. However, it is clear the injury has impacted his production; the former Super Bowl MVP has only 10 catches for 107 yards in his last three games. He is projected to lead the Pats’ receiving corps tonight with a 25% target share against a Titans defense that is more susceptible through the air than on the ground, ranking 21st in DVOA against the pass.

Zach Ertz

Washington Commanders
1/04/20, 8:53 PM ET

Eagles TE Zach Ertz (Rib, Kidney) is Expected to Play Tomorrow Vs. the Seahawks

The star tight end is expected to be active in tomorrow’s NFC Wild-Card matchup vs. the Seahawks. Ertz is a risky play given that he is not 100% healthy, but this will be reflected in his ownership and he makes for a solid pivot off of Dallas Goedert in tournaments.

Jordan Akins

Jacksonville Jaguars
1/04/20, 4:29 PM ET

Texans TE Jordan Akins (Hamstring) is Out Today Vs. the Bills

Akins will miss this afternoon’s game, meaning Jordan Thomas will operate as the Texans’ second tight end behind Darren Fells. This has minimal fantasy impact as we have Thomas projected as the TE14 for this weekend’s slate of four games.

Will Fuller

Miami Dolphins
1/04/20, 4:26 PM ET

Texans WR Will Fuller (Groin) is Officially Inactive Today Against the Bills

Fuller, who was initially a long-shot to play this weekend after injuring his groin, will miss this afternoon’s AFC playoff tilt vs. the Bills. The absence of the Texans’ WR2 has significant fantasy implications and is one of the most important injuries to monitor along with the likes of Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz.

Kenny stills will step into Fuller’s role, while WRs Keke Coutee and DeAndre Carter will see extra looks in the passing game. Stills has been unable to take advantage of an expanded role in four games without Fuller this season, never topping four receptions or 52 yards in a single contest. However, Stills is an excellent deep threat nonetheless and a nice value play for this weekend.

DeAndre Hopkins may also see additional volume as he has typically commanded a 30-35% target share without Fuller on the field. He has a poor matchup against the elite Bills’ CB Tre’Davious White, who ranked ninth in PFF’s cover grade in 2019. Hopkins and Stills will be among the highest-owned receivers on Saturday-only slates and in the top-10 on full-weekend slates, so their fantasy outputs will have enormous implications for tournament lineups.

Houston Texans

Houston Texans
1/04/20, 4:24 PM ET

Texans CB Johnathan Joseph is Inactive Today Vs. the Bills

Joseph has seen a reduced role as of late, so his injury shouldn’t have much of a DFS impact. Texans CBs Gareon Conley and Bradley Roby play nearly every snap on the perimeter, while Vernon Hargreaves will play the nickel.

As reported by: Joe Buscaglia

Robert Foster

New York Giants
1/04/20, 4:22 PM ET

Bills RB T.J. Yeldon, WR Robert Foster are Both Inactive Today Against the Texans

Duke Williams will take Foster’s spot this afternoon against the Texans. The rookie generated six receptions for 108 yards in last week’s season-finale in a meaningless game for the Bills, but he outperformed both Isaiah McKenzie and Foster. While he is expected to operate behind McKenzie, Williams is still a viable large-field tournament dart throw on short playoff slates.
